I love Iris Nails! Amy, owner, has a very competent team working with her. I recently switched to builder nail gel and absolutely love it. I travel extensively, and it stayed perfect for the entire 4 weeks I was gone. Of course, my nails grew out, but the gel never chipped or lost their shine. This is a fabulous salon to use!!! She's the owner and because she has been doing nails for decades, she's fast and she listened carefully to me as I described the overall results I desired. Time and time again, my nails are perfect. The salon is always clean and her other technicians have been with her for quite some time. They wouldn't stay there is she wasn't good to them. I walked in and was immediately waited on. I wanted a unique rose gold color for a mani/pedi and she helped me pick the perfect shade. They were gentle on my bad foot and ingrown toenails (didn't hurt at all) and they talked with me but weren't overly chatty. Wonderful, unexpected hand and foot massages. Personally, I LOVE this place and I LOVE Amy! I've gone to a lot of nail salons in the area and I LOVE the service here. The staff is so friendly and I love the fact that they have coupons! They are all so thorough with each service and they offer and I love that they are each always smiling and courteous. This salon honestly has a great nail polish selection as well as shellac selection. Every salon I've gone into I've always had to come back in a couple days afterwards to get a repair, however, I came in here 3 weeks prior to today and I am not the most cautious person...believe me when I say I did not need one repair to any of my artificial nails! My refill today shocked me when I saw that my nails were all in great condition regardless of how much I've banged my nails around. I was off on Monday because of the weather so I was looking for a nail shop that would be open on that day. This was the only place I could find and they did a great job. I try to get a mani/pedi every two weeks and it was time. I made an appointment and arrived a little before time and still had to wait a while longer. It was no big deal because I had no where to go but ant appointment is supposed to assure you of being waited on in a timely fashion. Other than that everything went very well. I t was one of the most relaxing visits that I have had at any nail salon. I had the full treatment including hot stone massage and neck and shoulder massage. I left totally refreshed. I came here during my lunch time! Usually the only time I get to myself lol this place is around the corner from my job. So, I was able to get them done and be back in time. I don't usually get a full set bc I feel like they make my nails brittle but I have seen the job they do in other ladies there and I must say they look really nice! When I've gone there I have always gotten shellac nails. They do a great job. Sometimes they are really busy. They don't however tell you to wait 5 mins and end up waiting 30 like other places. They are good with telling you wait time if any. After manicure, they give you a small arm and hand massage. They have about 5-6 manicure and pedicure stations. Avoid!!!!! The lady I had painted fuzz from the towel into my first AND second coat of polish. I pointed it out and she brushed it sideways onto my tips as if to incorporate it into the polish like I couldn't see!! She didn't even put color on my entire nail, I had BIG gaps where the color was missing between my nail and skin. I'm talking you coud fit a peice of spaghetti in the color gap!! Then she bubbled the finishing coat worse than a peice of fried chicken! I had her remove it and put clear coat- to which I pointed out she hadn't removed all the remnants of the color she removed (a berry color) so my fingers look like they are irritated!!!!! Oh and no surprise, somehow my clear coat was bubbled too. She didn't even smooth the tips of my nails after she filed them, so God forbid I touch anything as I have sand paper for fingernails right now!!! I will be removing this terrible handiwork when I get home tonight. I'll just have to deal with the embarrassment until then. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! read more

I must say the I love Tracey that does my facials. That's the ONLY reason I come to this nail salon. However I must say I have have told them 3 times about the coupon status on their website. I went there and presented a coupon with hopes to use it for the new year and they said oh that was "before Christmas" even though the coupon said Merry Christmas and Happy New year and were rude and brushed it off like it was nothing. I have told them before that for customer service and business purposes they should specify dates on the coupons otherwise it's a waste of time. It makes no sense that they have not done this already. It will spare customers a lot of unnecessary confusion. Other than that u would drive from Pearland again because Tracey does great facials but the rest of the ladies in there need to come off a little nicer when a customer has a concern. read more

I went in today to get my solar nails taken off. I was just tired of them. I went in sharp at 9am when they open. I told the lady at the front what I wanted and she asked me to have a seat. I waited a good ten minutes while the workers chit chat in the back. I was the first customer, there should not have been a wait. I love this place! I discovered it by recommendation of a friend and it has been my go-to ever since. Mani's are so-so unless you get the rainbow, but unless you are going for an all day ultra-pampering experience, i usually just get the refresher. Anyway I highly recommend Jessica for a pedicure. I ALWAYS get at least the classic because the scrub and hot stones are amazing and you can't beat the price! They can be kind of slow so make sure you have plenty of time. I said that's a lot of money. How much if I want to keep the same nail color ? she said $25. And I said 'don't you have to take this nail color off in order to change to give a refill? I have been coming here since I was in high school and now am getting ready to graduate college, however, I will not be coming back. I came to get a refill and pedi and stated that as I walked in. I was immediately seated for my pedi then once she finish I was asked to come back. I did and then when it gets time to pay I was informed that I was being charged extra for my nails being long (it's a refill), I was being charged extra because of the shape (they were already shaped almond), I was being charged extra because it was a shellac refill ( if you ask for regular polish it turns into a big thing). My nails were just a simple yellow no design refill and it cost me just as much if not more then if I got a full NEW set. If you wondering how much I paid it was $51 read more

This used to be my favorite place in Katy but they aren't so great anymore. I made an appointment & they rushed through my shellac & pedicure. I asked to see their Christmas designs & the lady told me to pick from the Internet & they'd do it. I chose a simple snowflake for my ring finger (I've had this before) & a simple looking present design for my big toes. I tried to select basic designs & the ladies assured me that they could do them "no problem." My nails look awful after adding designs! The snowflake basically looks like a bunch of random, fat spots & short lines. You can tell it's a snowflake but it's an extremely poorly done design. The present on my big toe resembles a butterfly not a gift! Amy did a horrible job on that & to be the one "in charge," I'd expect more! They had the door open so it was hot in the salon, they were rushing & making me hold a satin pillow with the LED lamp on it in my lap & it kept slipping & they got mad at me, & they were extremely rude to a Spanish speaker who came in wanting services...making fun of her & rolling their eyes. Overall, it was a negative experience & I will be seeking a new go-to salon for future nail care! Such a shame because I have come here many times & the last few experiences have been bad! read more

I went here yesterday to have my nails and a pedi. I had shellac done on my hands and toes. They did a sloppy job. I asked for their Rainbow pedicure (the most expensive one) and the stones they used were not even warm. They just seemed to rush me out to move on to the next person.
