My gown was a sample dress from a designer, therefore I bought it 4 sizes bigger than I was. It was a mermaid shape and had to be tailored perfectly to fit correctly and it had 3 layers of material to it as well as a few repairs to the dress itself due to it being a sample. I also had to have the dress hemmed, and had her create a bustle on my dress. In total, I paid $500 - alterations, hem, bustle, cleaning & Steaming, as well as getting a bustier bra for my dress through her. REALLY GOOD DEAL. I was worried about having just anyone alter the gown, because it was a designer gown; however, going to see Susana and seeing the other dresses that she had created on her own, I was very confident in her as a seamstress. Plus the fact that she was super cute. She will take your dress in as early as 6 months ahead of time where she will take an initial estimate of all the work that needs to be done, but will not do any actual cutting until a month before the wedding. This is actually to save her work, because brides tend to fluctuate in weight / size dramatically within the last month of their wedding. She will have your dress finished, steamed, and cleaned 2 weeks before the big day - if you do have any extra alterations even then, she can do it in a week! Also - the nice thing she did was that she handstitched my hemline, that way if I wanted to sell my dress and that person was taller, they could release the hem at least! PERFECT! She is absolutely wonderful and the dress fit like a glove!

I have been in there when people are told what they do not want to hear and complain the customer service is bad. They are just really blunt. 2) This kind of bleeds into the first point but the unfortunate reality is just because you spent a lot of money on a dress/clothing it does not make it quality. We want to think that as a consumer but at the end of the day a lot of bridesmaid dresses/ dresses from department stores for weddings are made super cheap and they let you know it because the quality of the garment is what gives them space to work. 3) It looks kind of messy in there and you NEED TO KEEP YOUR TICKET. A lot of us are used to modern computers but they are not functioning like that, this is a local, elder owned business. This is legitimately like going to a business in 1965, it has charm but you need to sort of feed into that and do it their way. 4) Give them time. The modern world is rush rush rush, but like I said this place is old school. I have personally bought multiple dresses here, some cheap, some very expensive. I never had a problem with the fit or service. This is not to say they are perfect but I think if you want a no frills alteration process I love them. Plus, Yvonne is hilarious if that's your humor.
