The sashimi was fresh, the scallops sweet and fleshy and the oysters of a generous proportion. The spider roll (4 pieces) encompassed soft shell crab, avocado, cucumber and roe. The Agedashi tofu (4 pieces) was well cooked and had an adequate amount of sauce. The downsides to this restaurant is that it can get pretty packed on Friday and Saturday nights, resulting in a wait for the food. Furthermore, the restaurant is next to an Internet Café, which results in smokers hanging near the entrance of the restaurant. Given that the front door needs to be manually closed, I have experienced several circumstances whereby cigarette smoke has drifted in. Overall the food was amazing, the ambience welcoming and comfortable and the service great. Ichiraku has a loyalty card whereby ten stamps will entitle you to a free shoyu ramen.
