I'm not a fan of waiting in lines, crowds, and rush seating. So the Gold Class Cinemas are my idea of heaven. I reserve seats at home before the show, get there a little early, drink adult drinks, and to-my-seat service after the show starts. My favorite way to watch movies. The only complaint is that they have gotten rid of "all ages" shows for some reason, so we can never bring our (quiet, respectful) teenagers. read more

Make sure you watch a funny movie or an action flick when you visit iPic! The only reason I say this is because the comfortable reclining chairs can be too comfy... which means you can fall asleep during a serious movie after a couple drinks. I love this place and the service is excellent. It's worth the extra few bucks to get the extra attention. Just think... no screaming kids, no kicking the back of your chair, no elbow fighting for the armrest and no heads in your line of view. What you do get is extra space, drinks and food brought right to your seat and a blanket! Now if only there could be an iPic airline... read more

Per usual had a blast at iPic. Great night--the chef made excellent dishes, my favorite being the portabella mushroom stuffed appetizer...taste and presentation was above par. The Yelp party was very accommodating and made everyone feel welcome. Also the support staff at iPic provided exceptional service from the considerate ushers, to the event photographer, and not to mention the ever entertaining bar tenders. This is a great movie theater and perfect for a date night. The food is really good. I tried their filet mignon sliders which were excellent. Their drinks were also very good. I tried the lemon drop which is a favorite of mine. The seats are very comfortable especially the premium seats. They give you a blanket and pillow. I almost fell asleep when I was watching "The Hobbit". I have gone here many many times and enjoy it every time! It really adds to the movie going experience. read more

We wanted to be really excited about this place, but it is literally a regular movie that has been converted to better seating. It's not thoughtfully laid out at all. As a result the screen is too big and way to close for the majority of seats. If you sit in the premium seating you are literally sitting underneath the screen looking straight up. We made the mistake of watching Captain Phillips (lots of shaky cam) and people were being sick in the theater because we were so close. Because the super premium seats take up so much space at the rear, the best way of describing it is like going to a regular theater and sitting in the front row. The seats are also next to each other in a line just like in a regular theater. We were lead to believe they were separated by tables, but this meant you still had to ask to get past people into your chair if others were sitting around you. As other reviewers have said the food is mediocre at best. If you want this kind of experience done well I would highly recommend the Big Picture in Seattle instead which is a far superior, more intimate experience. read more

I booked a party for 10 with Ashley and she made it so easy. Everything was handled and the food and drink were great. We had great service from Maynara ,Mayara , Crystal and Angela they made sure we got all that was included in your package and that we were comfortable. Such a great way to watch a movie. I love this place. It's a premium theatre where they bring you food and drinks.The seats are super comfortable and large. They give you a blanket and a pillow to get comfortable. The food is pretty good, but not great. They don't serve anything that requires utensils so the selection is a bit limited but they get very creative. The only downside to this place is the price. Don't bother with the "premium seats" because they're almost as expensive, not nearly as comfotable, and they don't bring you food. The "premium plus" seats are the way to go. read more

Going to this theater can be on the pricy side, but from the comfy seats, delicious food, pre picked seats, good popcorn, and much better bathrooms than the ones in normal cinemas, the cost is totally worth it! They Don't wash there blankets or pillow cases that's for a fact so be careful with your little kids. When you ask for more popcorn normally servers or bausers eat out of it. The General Manager is knew and rude as will as his Travis they both ignore the situation always go with Miguel or Tim they will be nice and they will help you out. FOOD is pricey but good cooks do there best in cooking love the taste. good job to chef and cooks. SERVERS try to always get Roberto, Jorge, Maria, Nazario they will give your order good and will hurry with your drinks they won't have you waiting am a frequent client and I always pay attention to there names I wouldn't go there but I love the seats if it wasn't because of the people that work there and are nice I would never go back there again. read more

I went here for my birthday today and i have to say WOW. This place makes it hard for me to want to go back to a regular movie theater ever again. I think i maybe a bit spoiled now and my boyfriend who is a tall 6'2 loved the reclining seats so much that he said we must come back again to see pride, prejudice and zombies. I say its a massive upgrade from all my movie going experiences. The service was excellent too! And ps, i went to cinnebarre once since people keep talking about it and the place was very blah and not very clean. In short, cinnebarre was gross. Go to ipic instead, you'll be more grateful for it. read more

Super disappointed in our experience last night. At first we were waiting patiently- we sat down well before previews started but we were the last pair to be seated in our premium plus seats, so they were busy with the people that were there first- fair enough. When the busboy came around with popcorn I asked for menus- he came back with them and that was the last we saw anyone until they came thru for last call (except not to us- the folks next to us got something else so when that was delivered I managed to get his attention and asked for water (by that point we didn't want food anymore anyway). When he brought the water (the busboy, not the regular server) I said that we had never even been acknowledged and asked why; he said he'd go check with the server. He came back a bit later and wanted to know if we'd had any service at all and I said no, just the popcorn, menus and water, all from him. He asked if we wanted to talk to someone and I said after the movie- seriously- the movie is almost over, it is the best part and he thinks I want to talk about it then?? The reason I didn't get up to chase down a server was because I didn't want to miss any of the movie. The server never did come talk to us. Last time we when there we were super early, first seated, and no one acknowledged us either- my husband had to go chase someone down asking if we could order. We ended up going to eat at La Isla which was way better food anyway. read more

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. I have been to Gold Class Cinemas several times in the past and loved it. HOWEVER, as of very recently, they have either been bought out by someone else or simply changed all together. They have changed their seating system to where you pay the same amount for way less (same chairs as in a regular movie theater and no blankets/service provided). They don't announce this change to customers, so DON'T BE FOOLED. Once we were in our seats (where they placed us in the front row after we had pre-paid for seats in the back) they told me it was my own fault and that i must have turned the computer screen upside down when booking my tickets. Very unprofessional, rude and flat out bad customer service. Do not recommend this place. read more

I use to love coming to the movies here and gladly paid the extra money for the comfort. The recent changes and price increases though have made it unreasonable. For many years, we enjoyed excellent services at Gold Class, now changed to iPic Cinema. Totally disappointment. A change of management made a huge decent in services. Now we do not have a Service Call button, that means there is a huge menu at your seat but you can not call for a service. Who would like to stand up in the middle of the movie to get your drink. IPic used to be amazing, but the quality is just terrible now. Went tonight, and will never go back. Or waiter took our order at 7pm (for our 7:15pm movie), and we never saw him again until he brought the bill. Our food was disgusting and we were never offered more drinks. To be fair, they did take off the one meal that was horrible. Overall a terrible experience. You are better off going to Cinemark over 21 in Bellevue. Better food, service, and price. Underwhelmed. Tried out this theatre for the first time. Paid $56 for two "vip" tickets for a 4pm showing of Oceans 8. The server took our food and drink order prior to the show and brought drinks promptly. After the show started we received our complimentary salty bag of popcorn. 30 minutes into the show we are wondering where our food is...45 minutes into the show we are realizing our food is probably never coming. As there is no way to call the server, we sat there not sure what to do. Do we get up and try to find someone and miss the movie? Keep waiting? A little after 5pm our server comes into the theatre and we flag him down to let him know we still haven't received our food. At around 5:18 our food arrives. Later the server tells us our order had gone to another theatre. They did remove one of the two entrees; however, by this point the experience was ruined and we were left wondering why we paid $56 for "vip" table side service. The seats were comfortable and the food was decent. In comparison to Cinemark in Bellevue, which we had also tried for the first time earlier in the week, I can't see how ipic is able to compete in price or service. I will say the menu at ipic is more extensive, but if it's a crapshoot whether or not you get your food during the show, then that isn't that big of a plus. read more

As a rule I love iPic Redmond -- it's a little on the pricey side (less so if you're a member, which I believe is free, and also less on weekdays), but the service is generally fabulous. Tonight however, is was absolutely outstanding. My boyfriend and I were seeing Beauty and the Beast, but unfortunately when we got there, there was someone in our seats. It happens however, that their tickets showed they also had booked those seats - after the manager checked the situation thoroughly, he confirmed there had been a system error and we had indeed been double booked. I don't at all blame iPic for this, things happen and these things are computerized, but the manager (Spencer) took fantastic care of us - he apologized profusely, and offered to book us seats for the next showing, and cover the bill for our meal - he may also have comped the tickets I'm not sure, but comping the meal to me is more than enough. It certainly wasn't convenient to see a movie three hours later than intended, but the food at iPic isn't cheap, so the drinks, app, dinner & dessert would have totaled something in the neighborhood of $70. I'm sure the food costs were a fraction of that, but it meant we left super happy, iPic wasn't out too much, and what would have been a horrible situation turned into a great evening. The movie was great, the server Roberto (I think) took phenomenal care of us, and we were totally taken care of. In my experience, 9/10 potentially bad situations don't get remedied, so Spencer taking such good care of us was a real surprise, and definitely improved my opinion of iPic even further. read more

I have done a ton of business through MICROSOFT with IPic. I personally booked a couple of tickets and accidentally booked the wrong day. I called to see if they would refund the tickets or give me a credit. I know they can do this as I have attended many of their events privately that they invited me to. They refused to provide a $24 credit and then the lady hung up one me. WOW! read more

Came here for the first time to watch Star Wars with the hubband. Let's set one thing straight: it's not cheap. Moving right along.. we had a great time! The seats are really comfy, the blankets smelled like fresh laundry, which is so so so so so important to me, all premium seats had an excellent view of the screen, and because not many people seem to purchase the regular seats, the crowd size was just right. Our server came to greet us right away. He was very enthusiastic, polite, explained everything clearly and made the experience very pleasant overall. The food is expensive for what it is, but it was really good. I had the nacho bites and truffle fries. It was a really fun experience.. kind of like being in the comfort of my own home except I didn't have to cook or clean. My only suggestion/concern would be the table size. It's great for a drink, but hard to shuffle things around when you order food. Maybe they could add a drink holder somewhere? I don't know.. i'll leave that to management to get creative :) We'll definitely be back, but it has to be for an epic movie like Star Wars or Jurassic World.. for a mediocre movie I'd just go to cinebarre. read more

Ok...mayabe two stars isn't al that fair.. it's just not the kind of theater experience that I'm used to, or that I like. The seating is awesome. Big cushy chairs that recline ! The chair side service was painfully slow. We got there early enough, but we didn't get our beverages until the movie started. popcorn showed up shortly thereafter. I think they are making a great effort, but for me, it's just not worth the price. tix were $27 for the recliner and chair service. a small bowl of popcorn was $7 ! SMALL. Beautifully clean, great furniture and decor, but all not necessary for me. It was a great splurge for us, but ultimately it all fell short of our usual movie routine. Also, there was a railing bar in my view if I reclined too far. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it was a design flaw. Probably had to happen because of code, but they could have raised the seats a couple inches and that would have taken care of it. SLOW service, tiny portions of both popcorn and soda (I know, we could probably use less of that stuff anyway), but for our movie experience we are ok with a little indulgence....we weren't all that impressed with it all. We will probably not go back anytime soon. read more

NOT a fan of the changes. This used to be a fun splurge to see a movie on comfy seats (now removed or charged extra) with full-service dining (not anymore). Additionally, there used to be "grown up" movies playing here but now it seems to be a steady stream of animated movies, action heroes, and well... that's about it. Big disappointment. read more

Too exclusive attitude - - - Arrived at 11:00 am for an 11:00am movie. No one available to help me. One male employee at front counter on the phone. Greeted me and said "it will be a few minutes, I'm busy; really, about 5 minutes". Of course the movie is starting and I am waiting. Oh, his phone call....he is ordering something for himself on the phone slowing giving his credit card information....amazing. FInally at 11:12 he says he is available to help me. I chose not to go in one because of price...meaning, why should I pay to go in late due to his unprofessionalism AND if he is the first impression and I do not see any other employees anywhere....mmmm, sizes up to be very poor service expectations. I politely say, "thank you, but I'll wait till another time"...his response, "yea, well we are 'that' type of theatre"......yes, my mouth dropped to the floor! And, yes HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT AND TREATED ME THAT WAY!!!! Amazing, yes, iPic, you are "that" type of theatre - rude, unprofessional, and very disappointing! It is a good place to see a movie every now and again. I was extremely disappointed with how expensive everything was- $5 for a soda!!! I brought a friend who was visiting from out of town. We decided to come a little early to grab some drinks and an app before our movie. It was a busy Saturday night and as someone who works in the restaurant industry I understand how busy it can be. This was by far the worst service and experience ever. Our server would run by our table and just say "you two are good" without even stopping to let us answer. Our over priced food arrived cold and no one check back to see if we liked what we ordered. There were two people I can assume were managers walking around the bar. One came to our table to remove our barware. When we were ready to pay, we had our check presenter standing with two cards ready to pay. A manager and our server each walked by and neither took the time to stop. Unfortunately I am unable to order, refill and take payment myself so I am relying on the competence of other to assist or "serve" the purpose. It is beyond frustrating to be anticipating a fun night out to be utterly disappointed by my experience. And just to add: A quarter of a quarter of a lime is not a sufficient garnish when you specifically ask for lime with your gin and tonic. read more

Used to be much better. Whole experience is not really worth it now. My husband and I went in Jan. 2010, when it was much better. Going back in April 2011 was such a disappointment. There were no nice seats available so we thought we would just go with the "cheaper" seats. Still $17 and then sitting in row B which I had to sit extremely slouched in my seat and still left with a cramp in my neck. Customer service plainly sucked unless you by the nicer seats. Which I would totally do if they actually had enough to sell. Don't bother unless you buy the nice seats and even then don't expect much. read more

Along with my fellow reviewers (Tara, Heather & Clifton) I WANT GOLD CLASS BACK! Gold Class Cinema is now iPic and it is just so far below the standard the Gold Class set - we WON'T be going back. REMEMBERING GOLD GLASS: It was worth the price of admission. From start to finish it was "classy". You handed your credit card to ONE person to start a tab and at the end of your night you signed for everything (one bill). You always wanted to show up a little early to relax in the bar and have a drink and chat with person/people you came with. The theaters were limited to around 40 seats were at an angle (no bad seat), call button to bring your server to your seats at any time (there were around 4 servers assigned to a single theater). Once you got into your movie you rarely notice anyone is around you so it was like having your own personal theater. iPic (I am being kind) is NOT WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION. No longer are you able to run a time - we handed our credit card to three different people - check in, drink before the movie and then the food we ordered in the movie. SEREIOUSLY?!?! We were in the same building the entire time!!! Gone is the relaxing atmosphere of the lobby/bar - music so loud that you don't want to talk to the person next to you. Staff (just the women) are forced to wear these god-awful purple outfits. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT - they completely changed the theater. They more than doubled the capacity of the theaters by taking all the premium seats and put them in a row facing directly forward. We were off to the side I had to sit at an angle not to mention that my husband's seat was next the stair railing which was so high he couldn't recline his seat otherwise the railing would block part of the screen. Now there is ONE STAFF member taking orders for ALL the premium seated customers at the beginning of the movie - you can't continue to order food and drink during the movie. They give you a song and dance about how they don't want to disturb other during the movie - TOTAL CRAP. Only having one staff person assigned to the theater made for a bigger distraction. This one person took and submitted orders for all 40 (approx) people at once. We waited much longer (than before) to get our order taken, to get our drink, to get our food and then in the end because he was one person had to disturb us during the movie because he got our credit card mixed up with someone else's. There is so much more I could comment on in regards to iPic and the changes they implemented - my recommendation is DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more

No longer a customer. The idea is so great on paper but it is never executed fully. We have been here over a dozen times and had gotten used to the slow service. This weekend we finally gave up because too there were just too many issues. The movie stopped showing video after 20-mins leading to a delay and quite a few rowdy patrons, the sodas are no longer included with Premium Plus seating (they are $4.50 each and refills take 15-mins or longer), there were no paper towels in the bathroom and our overpriced food was served cold. I can no longer recommend this place. It continues to go down hill. read more

The theater experience was very nice. Very comfortable in those premium seats. However, food was absolute garbage. I had the chicken satay. The meat was dried up and tasteless. After two bites, that was enough. Since I live in Seattle, sorry to say no reason to return or recommend. read more

I absolutely love how they have thought up every little detail from the amazing Aesop soap in the bathrooms to the super comfortable premium chairs with blankets and pillows, and of course their epic service. Loved the Gold Class Cinemas. Did not like the loud blaring music while we were waiting for food. Really dissappointed that we had to wait around to to take our food in ourselves, I really liked ordering food and having in delivered to the seats. although seats are comfortable, if you have to get up, it is a little tight walking through the aisle. The waitstaff was helpful and nice, but I still did not like the lack of service in the theatre.you are paying extra, but for what. If we wanted the reclining seats and extra service it cost more....I don't think we will be returning. previously it was a great experience, something to look forward to, I think i will just go to a regular theatre going forward....or if I do go to ipic, I will order wine, skip the food and enjoy the movie....oh by the way, the food was ok, nothing to get excited about. they do have a nice wine by the glass selection!!!! read more

Haven't been here since ownership changed. Overall experience was positive in large part due to the movie 50/50 being really good ;) Wait staff could have been better ie; they left empty plates behind when dropping off drinks, never checked back after food runner dropped off the food. Our food was good though but higher than normal prices for appetizers. Dessert not worth 9 bucks at all.. I agree with other yelpers the blasting tweeny pop music is really ridiculous, we could hardly hear each other while waiting in lounge before the movie!! I would give it 2 1/2 stars...they need to up their game with service and change the music. Seriously it's that loud. Probably will go back at some point but not planning on it at this point. read more

My husband and I attended the iPic theater to see Guardians of the Galaxy yesterday - we had been intrigued by the concept of a movie theater where adults could go to see a movie in a luxurious environment, with nice food and plush seats. Sadly, we were disappointed. The staff was pleasant and cheerful, and the decor was lovely and sophisticated, so that was great and encouraging, and made us positively inclined toward iPic right away. Then we went to use the restrooms. The women's room smelled strongly of urine - I've been in truck stops with better-smelling restrooms. Since the decor in the restroom is dark, smell is a reasonable indicator of cleanliness. Yikes! We didn't order any food. Frankly, if a restaurant bathroom has terrible hygiene standards, I'm not super-inclined to trust any food that comes out of their kitchen. Also, children are now allowed, so if you were inclined, as we were, to enjoy a child-free moviegoing experience, this is not the theater in which to do so. Happily, the children in our theater were quiet, so that was lucky. Next, the we entered the theater and sat down in our seats. The most expensive seats were sold out, so we bought two of the less expensive seats, which still looked quite nice. The seats were wide and roomy, but provided zero back support and couldn't be reclined at all, so you are sitting on a plush seat with a concave back in a full upright position. I rolled up my sweater so my poor husband could use it to support his back and watched the movie shivering. The people in the more expensive reclining seats had pillows and blankets, so I'm pretty sure if any of those seats had been available, it would have improved the experience considerably. Also, please note that the less expensive seats are not configured in a stadium style, so if someone tall sits in front of you, it is possible they could block a small bit of the screen - however, the screen is pretty high, so it might not be too bad. The screen wasn't huge, but it was a good size, and we liked the pre-show videos where they described food and drinks - I would probably have picked some up if it hadn't been for the cleanliness issue. Then the 3D movie began, and we were dismayed. I had carefully cleaned the glasses before using them and checked to make sure they weren't marred and the lenses weren't dirty or unclear (they were clear and after I had cleaned them, they were clean), but when I put them on, the screen image looked dark and foggy and the too-small lenses reflected everything in the room around us - it was really strange. I've been to lots of 3D movies, and have never had such a terrible viewing experience. The muddy quality of the image and those awful glasses actively detracted from an otherwise great movie - it was a constant distraction, and very frustrating. I wanted this theater to be great - we loved the ambience and concept. Now I wish we could get our money back - it was such an unfortunate, uncomfortable, and unsatisfying experience that we have decided to go to Lincoln Square today to see the movie again with decent 3D and comfortable seats. If it wasn't for the guy hacking up a lung behind us I would have given them 6 stars!! Great place for a date night. We have gone to the Redmond iPic many times. In the past we have hit days where they are short handed and the in-theater service is poor. But, on January 14, 2018, we went to see Jumanji at the 1:45 showing and had a great time! The service was great! We always are in the expensive seating, which is nice, but having a great server and good food made it fantastic! read more
