Staff was great and the seating area was very clean. The recliner chairs are comfortable but you can't actually recline if you want to watch the movie... they have poles obstructing the screen. Why have reclining chairs if you can't see the screen when you recline?

Great staff, friendly and always a smile. There are comfortable reclining seats, every view is a good view. It was great to be able to enjoy the movies again.

Although this is the closest movie theater to my home, I had not visited this cinema for several years. Instead I have opted to watch flicks primarily at Lincoln Square in downtown Bellevue or at Pacific Square in downtown Seattle. There was a recent renovation of this theater, so I decided to check what has changed when I caught a showing of "Suicide Squad" here. The lobby interior of the theater hasn't changed. There is still the same concession stand and game area which was there previously. The real changes were made inside the auditoriums. The stadium seating has been replaced by king size recliner seats. What is great about these seats are that they make you feel like you are at home watching a movie. They even have adjustable leg rests for added comfort. The other big change is that there is now an assigned seating system for this theater. This means you need to choose where you want to sit before you enter. Seats are coded with a letter and a number. The A seats are at the front of the theater, so if you don't want to sit too close to the screen, don't select any of the first few letters. I made this mistake when I booked on Fandango when I selected a C seat. I thought that I was getting a seat towards the back, but it was near the front instead. I should have selected a G seat instead. In spite of this, I thought the king seat recliner was very comfy and I enjoyed the movie. The admission prices here are comparable to Lincoln Square for an evening showing. Though this theater doesn't offer $7 movies on Tuesday like it previously did. Prices are discounted, but they now cost about $8.50 for a regular movie on Tuesday. While the lobby interior of this movie theater could use a refresh, the movie auditoriums are looking much better now that they have installed the king recliner seating for a better entertainment experience.

Today I was invited by a friend to attend one of the student-oriented morning (1 hour) performances…read moreof the Nutcracker at Meydenbauer Place by the International Ballet Theatre. I knew nothing whatsoever of this company, and had no expectations, although I have seen many productions of the Nutcracker in my life, incl. the New York City Ballet, the Cleveland Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Ballet Met in Columbus. This company is a full school with a professional division. I didn't have the same expectations for professionalism as I would have for an all-professional ballet company, hence only 4 stars. However, all things considered, it really was a 5 star performance for what can be accomplished at this level. It is obvious that Vera Altunina, the director, whom I knew nothing about, is a woman of exquisite taste, experience, thoughtfulness, and intelligence. We are incredibly blessed here in Puget Sound in the fields of classical ballet as well as music. I was so impressed by the quality of dancing overall, the gorgeous scenery drops (not sure of my stage jargon here!), the stage craft, the mime quality, the costumes, and the lighting. Ms. Altunina is responsible for the choreography presented here, and I believe I recognized some familiar steps here and there showing she has adopted and adapted elements from the versions she danced in Russia so that everything suits her dancers. No one looked awkward or ungainly. I was immensely thrilled by the stage presence, acting, deportment, etc. of every dancer, whether the youngest of the performers or the older professionals. Everyone looked thoroughly prepared and experienced, so I'm guessing that Ms. Altunina is an extremely organized and skillful director. I was also extremely delighted by the two guest principal dancers, both from Kiev. Unfortunately, I didn't get a program, and so have no names to give you. Apparently, I was told later, that the principals are husband and wife. The Nutcracker prince impressed me with his long beautiful lines, elegant, graceful port de bras, and sublime effortless technique. His Sugar Plum Fairy was petite, elegant, and precise. Their harmony was wonderful, the dancing apparently effortless. I asked a few of the company dancers afterwards how they got those wonderful painted stage screens, and was told they had been painted in the Ukraine. This I could well believe, as they reminded me of some of the work of painting I have seen evident in book illustrations, etc. (The Ukraine, and also Russia, must have a factory that cranks out extremely talented artists, and perhaps we should be hiring their art teachers as well!) I also appreciated all the costumes, and was happy to see the snowflakes wearing kokoschnik-like headpieces with their pretty costumes. All of the performance appeared smooth and professional. I can't believe we can see this for a modest price in the much-maligned suburbs, without the hectic drive to the Seattle Center area. This is not to say you shouldn't go to see the PNB Nutcracker. I'd say go to both, as I myself will be later this month. One cannot have too much beauty and magic in their lives. We are already incredibly blessed to have Pacific Northwest Ballet here, and to discover that we have yet another ballet company is just extra whipping cream! Go take your kids, if possible, to one of the student performances. I sat next to a 3 year old boy, who appeared enraptured.

This review is specifically for the Ice Walker room and in no way reflects the staff. They were nice. When our time started, I think we were able to complete one or two of the puzzles in the first room fairly easily. However there was one puzzle on the wall that when you solve it, a box should open. We completed that puzzle multiple times but the box did not open and we finally had to ask for a hint. The staff confirmed that we had completed the puzzle correctly and manually opened the box for us. They also added back a couple of minutes into our overall time. Where my issue lies is that I see that a month ago, there is a yelp review with the exact same complaint. Why hasn't the issue been fixed if that complaint was made a month ago? Other than the malfunctioning puzzle, our group had to use all three of our hints. Usually when you get a hint you understand where you might've gone wrong or you understand the reasoning behind the puzzle. However for this room in particular, we felt that there were a lot of things that just didn't make sense. The puzzles and the low quality equipment really took the fun out of the experience and we're not sure if we would return. A side note: a couple of people in my party have done two other escape rooms at Flee and they have had fine experiences with those. I believe both of those escape rooms were also five out of five difficulty. It seems that with our experience, combined with the other low reviews specifically for this room, that the Ice Walker room is to be avoided.

The string trio was simply, AMAZING. They truly made our wedding ceremony unique and helped bring our vision into reality. My guests were raving about that portion of our ceremony and cocktail hour - they were so impressed and enjoyed the music! It was Rebecca who we communicated mostly with through email prior to the wedding day. Let me just say, she made the communication and booking process so easy. Their repertoire was definitely impressive and we had a lot to chose of pieces to from. There were 3 specific songs we wanted for our ceremony (Bittersweet Symphony, Here Comes the Sun, & Stand by Me) and I was thrilled to find out they were able to play for us! I also want to thank Rebecca for helping us decide on a song for our bridal party to walk out to after the ceremony. We wanted something a little more upbeat, but still elegant at the same time. She helped us decide on Viva La Vida - the PERFECT ending! Overall, we were so happy with our decision to have Puget Sound Strings play at our wedding. The booking process was so easy, the string trio came and did an amazing job and everything was just executed so professionally! It truly made our wedding extra special - I had no idea how magical the write music would make the most important part of our day. If you're thinking of booking PSS for your big day or event, DO IT! I assure you, you will not regret it! :)
