It is showing its age and could use some TLC on the seats but they do provide you with cushions. Also they have bug spray you can spray on for free. There is a small stand selling candy, popcorn and other items. Also they have a "mist sprayer" you can walk through to keep cool. One thing for older people is there is a steep winding hill you need to go down to get to the theater (not that long but still difficult for older folks - and you have to go back up at the end.) BUT they do provide a Courteous van that will take you down. They are next to impossible to get in contact with. Their phone is disconnected and they apparently can not access their Facebook page to respond to inquires. Found that very concerning since sort of looks like they are out of business. The scenery and customs for the play are simple but fun and the actors put their hearts in to it. For a inexpensive fun evening to take the kids to - and to see a good play - I would definitely recommend it. We took our 12 year old granddaughter and she enjoyed it.

I went to all of the local theaters and found that Accomplice by Rupert Holmes sounded delightfully entertaining! Getting tickets was super easy through Renton Civic's website and they gave me multiple ways to retrieving my tickets. I was happy to see the bar! AND you're allowed to take your goodies into the theater with you! This was an extra bonus because they've decided that masks are still required. Theater itself is super small and pretty retro, but it was well maintained and clean. Bathrooms are upstairs and the ladies room only had 2 stalls with one sink, so if you don't get there early you're probably not going before intermission is over! Overall a really great way to spend an evening; I know I'm looking forward to going to another show!

I'm glad we purchased our tkts in advance, although, I heard while waiting to get in there were tkts available at the boxoffice. The big selling point for me continues to be its local community theater, good entertainment with variety of ages and interests catering to their audience and a pleasant surprise REMODELING! I visited Valley Center Stage for the first time last night to watch the Murder on the Nile play…read more Tickets were $25/person, and there was ample parking in the lot immediately outside the venue. For my 7:30pm show, doors opened at 7pm and maybe around a third of the attendees were already there when I arrived around 7:10pm. When you walk in through the door, a greeter checks you in, and then there's a lobby equipped with light snacks and drinks. I grabbed a glass of house red wine before the doors to the theater opened. Seating is first come, first serve, and it was easy for my husband and I to get great seats near the front. I was very impressed with the set design of this play, and the quality of acting was excellent. There was an intermission halfway through, and despite each bathroom only having two stalls, the line wasn't too bad. They also had a raffle at intermission for a pair of tickets to return to a future show. I can't believe I haven't stopped by here sooner. My husband I will definitely return to enjoy the future shows!

The Kirkland Summerfest is one of the prettiest festivals, aesthetically speaking. Incorporating the use of beach, park, Heritage Hall, and the streets, there is a lot to appreciate the natural beauty in this area. It's moderate in size. Over the years, they have changed how many streets they close for this event. This year (2019) is more modest in size. The good thing is that they are open from Friday to Sunday so you can choose the convenient time for you to attend. Be sure to study the map so you're not missing out! Parking is street only, or library or city hall.

The weather was perfect and this year it was located at the downtown Kirkland Marina Park and it is an absolutely beautiful park especially to eat and drink and enjoy the scenery for a social event like this.

Very relatable. Love me some train action. Didn't love the borrowed Catholic HS theater, but it'll do in a pinch. Enjoyed another fun play this past summer performed outdoors in a beautiful botanical garden on a warm evening sharing a picnic. That production, The Guardsman, was definitely entertaining & enjoyable, but less professionally polished, in a word, silly. For sure do recommend BAT in general for affordable, engaging productions. A plus that it's in the SW neighborhood!

I love the fact that just down the street you can go to a live show in a theater house that has that "this building has some stories it could tell' kinda smell to it. If you keep an eye out for them they often do a dinner and a show special with a neighborhood restaurant and you can get a really good deal for a date night.
