Short Story: A decent movie theatre at Bellevue/Lincoln Square! Long Story: I've been coming here for almost 30 years and was here when they originally opened. Of course after all this time the quality has gone downhill but it's still a good experience. The chairs are okay to comfortable and the sound is awesome! As usual with other theaters the food prices are insane. The cleanliness is hit or miss at times so be sure to use your cellphone flashlight to look around before sitting down! It would appear that Cinemark is insisting on a single Yelp entry for their two theaters at Lincoln Square. The original cinema was Lincoln Square Cinemas that they took over, which is a decent traditional multiplex with an IMAX screen and chairs arranged in stadium seating that actually lean back a bit. The lobby is open and has lots of room for displays promoting other films. On the left hall, the rows of screens is quite expansive which could make for quite a walk to the bathroom or to get concessions and bring them back. It might not be a bad thing to have some of them renovated to be like their Totem Lake location. The Cinemark Reserve is a whole other thing, and truth be told really deserves a separate Yelp entry. It is meant to be a premium experience. Like the iPic in Redmond it is an electroncially reclined seat with seat warmer and a table for a meal with waiter service. It's 21+ only and they serve alcohol. The finishes on the walls are slightly more premium but not too much above and beyond their newer Totem Lake location. There is a big lobby area for concessions but a lot of the walk-up food service areas have fallen into disuse after covid. Cost-cutting wise they're really pushing kiosk ticket buying, which is fine, but yesterday the printers weren't working, so the kiosks could take your credit card payment and then leave you with nothing. When they radioed for the manager it probably took half an hour for the manager to show up. I noticed the cost cutting at the original cinema too as the one person that could sell you a ticket is also the person who checks you in on entry. That being said, there really isn't an alternative to watch the latest blockbuster or buzzy indy/foreign film in the West Bellevue area than here and they do their reasonable best to ensure a good experience. read more

This review is for the Cinemark Reserve 21+ theater. My family and I got 8 seats together for the 935am showing of the Odyssey on Saturday July 18, 2026. My family got there early to order food/drinks and settle in. My partner and I had never been to this theater before and we aren't from Bellevue so we got a little lost after parking in the north parking lot and had to walk about 10-12 min to the theater. We got there right around 9:25am and upon arriving, my dad informed us that the theater had put someone in our seats. They were handling it, albeit late, but still that was fine as long as we got to sit next to my parents. We sat down but because we had gotten a little lost, I still needed to use the restroom before the movie started (as it was 3 hours long). While I was out of the movie theater, I decided to just order a beverage outside near the check in desk so I didnt disturb the movie goers who were already settled in and watching the first few minutes of the movie. As I was walking over to the counter, one of the servers (a man with blonde hair, blue eyes, about 6' tall) stopped me. I asked politely if I could just order a beverage at the counter so I didnt disturb anyone in the theater by being on my phone (looking at the menu) and calling over a server. He rudely said "Order at your seat." I asked "Oh, can I not order at the counter?" And he replied "If you order out here you will have to pick up your order out here and wait" (this was fine, it wasnt an issue for me). I replied "thats fine, I just want to make sure that if I order a beverage out here, Im allowed to bring it into the theater?" He literally pinched the bridge of his nose as if he was so frustrated and annoyed at me and very condescendingly said "Just order at your seat, or are you having trouble figuring out how to order?" At this point I was feeling like a huge bother and unwelcomed so I just paused and politely said "I just wanted to see if I could order a coffee and not disturb anyone in the theater." He rolled his eyes and loudly yelled "WE DONT SERVE COFFEE." Again, my partner and I had never been to this theater before and we didnt want to be on our phones during the movie to look at the menu. If I hadnt been with my family, I would have walked out at that point because this man was acting as if I was incredibly stupid and made it a point to speak down to me. I didnt respond, I just turned around and went back to my seat. My partner and I didnt order anything during the movie even though we were hungry and thirsty during the entire 3 hour movie. I didn't want to give any money to an establishment who would hire such passive aggressive and rude employees. I have worked in the service industry for 19 years. I understand some days can be frustrating. However, I asked a simple question and he treated me unfairly right off the bat. I would have never spoken to a customer the way he spoke to me. It was very disheartening. Not to mention, it was only 9am and they had just opened so honestly it's weird how quickly he snapped at a customer after only just opening for the day. The cherry on top of this whole situation is that about 30 min before the movie ended, a different server came to my partner and I to give us a bill. We never ordered anything after the exchange with the blonde man out at the front. They asked us twice if we were sure we didn't order anything. The bill belonged to the man who was mistakenly seated in our seat by the theater employee. The whole experience was just a huge let down. My dad wanted an upscale experience for this specific movie because hes a huge classic literature fan, instead we got misunderstandings and passive aggressive employees. I told the rest of my family about the experience I had at the very beginning and everyone agreed that we wont ever be returning to this establishment nor will we ever be recommending it to friends or family. read more

Who goes to see Mission: Impossible at 9AM on a Sunday? Apparently... we do. My early-bird husband requested it, so off we went. The theater's website said it was IMAX, so I was all excited -- but nope, not IMAX. The seats weren't all that comfy either, which was a bit of a letdown. BUT -- we had the entire place to ourselves. I am very disappointed in the staff. Especially Brian. This lady was incompetent and did not understand their own expectations nor their rules. Brian was "gonna educate her" but i believe that it wasn't her fault. the fact that she gave me and my friends false hope about getting in, not only that, but i had my brother and his girlfriend end their din tai fung dinner early to get us in. and in the end we still didn't get in. brian i do not appreciate the unreliable and unrealistic rules and expectations you have set. next time in the future. i'd educate yourself and your fellow staff. we will not be coming back. and if we ever do, i disrespectfully hope i never see you ever again brian. read more

I've been to this theater many times and always have a pleasant experience. Parking is tricky to navigate but you can do the parking garages and it's either free and no pass needed or when leaving the garage you let the parking pass person know you were at the movies and they'll let you through. Today was a weekend so free parking and no pass needed. Parking is the only major criticism I have for this location. Also make sure you are going to the correct theater as there is a 21 and over cinemark nearby! I've seen Barbie at this theater and I have now seen Wicked! I've seen so many awesome movies at this location. Every time I come to the theater, the employees are quiet but very friendly and kind. Large screens and comfy seats. Theater could be cleaner and wish they would get recliners but I still enjoy seeing movies here. They even have a game room and a Photo Booth! They allowed me to bring in a small blanket and my personal cup with my matcha inside and didn't say a word so that was nice. For an almost 3 hour movie it was nice having my blanket! NO TRAILERS for F1 IMAX 7pm showing on June 30 left viewers shocked and frustrated as they entered the theater after getting overpriced snacks only to discover they missed the beginning of the movie. With no management around to speak to, viewers we just stuck with dealing with it. With the cost of 4 IMAX tickets and snacks for everyone, this is OUTRAGEOUS. I've supported this theater since it opened and now Im reconsidering ever going back. read more

We came here with a Movie Club member to use up their perks for the 9:35 pm showing of Wicked. Showed up about an hour early (purposely missed the Snowflake Lane traffic) & killed time grabbing a round of whiskey at the bar and pool in the game room. Bathrooms were stocked and clean, reclining seats were comfy & as soon as we sat down a staff member took our order - 4 shiz cocktails (too sweet, would skip) 2 mushroom burgers 1 loaded truffle fries 1 popcorn 1 crispy fried chicken sandwich 2 mini churros The service was quick & food came out fresh. Our bill was $126 after the 20% discount before tip. We had a great experience as first time visitors & left wanting to sign up for the Movie Club ourselves! read more

Only reason I'm giving this a 2 is because the people at the snack registers were nice... some crazy old white lady with glasses was so rude. I am over 21 years old bringing my little brother 13 to see a rated R movie which is legal and no problem. She has the audacity to attempt to kick me out the theater asking if I am his legal parent and demanding to see papers that I am his guardian/parent... like lady how do you not know this is perfectly fine. I was invited by Amazon Studios to watch the movie Unstoppable before it released. The theater is nice but I feel like it's not the nicest. When I sat in the recliner it was kinda small & pretty worn. There wasn't a line for concessions so that was a bonus & the staff provided my free drink & popcorn with my voucher & were very friendly. But the overall feel of the theater is not my first choice for comfort or cleanliness. The bathrooms always seem to be dirty and the toilet i used wasn't flushing properly. But, free movie made it worthwhile. read more

This theater has turned into a complete joke. Show up 30 minutes prior to show time. Garbage, popcorn, sticky floors. No cleaning. No air conditioning going. Ask twice to fix it. Nothing. Then these morons sell tickets to six stoned teenagers 40 minutes into the movie who then proceed to talk loudly non stop. That's it. Thank you Cinemark. My last movie theater ever. This review is more about the staff and overall maintenance of the theater over my viewing experience. One of my clients works here so I visit frequently to check on him and his progress. I am appreciative of the staff's support of him and accommodating him. The Theater is staffed quite a bit, something I don't see all that much but I suppose given the size of this theater there needs to be several staff on duty on a given day. The lobby, bathrooms and theaters are nicely kept up. I personally accompanied my client and a couple of his coworkers to clean up a theater following a showing. I love the decor props and movie posters all around the lobby that really takes me back to movie Theaters pre covid where seeing all this got you hyped for coming movies and some of these are so large you can get photos in front of them. Black toilets have got to go. They don't flush properly and there's always a mystery in them. I avoid this theater for this one reason.

Went and saw the Housemaid last night. The seats were comfortable and reclined nicely. You can bring drinks in from the bar, too. Before the movie we sat at the bar. Gio served us - he was very personable and made great drinks. He definitely knows what he is doing behind that bar. We will return for both the movie experience and to see Gio again! read more

Coming from old AMC theatre in downtown Seattle that we are usually going to we were pleasantly surprised with good seats and huge auditoriums. However, the schedule that google and their home page shows is not accurate because we came weekend before to watch Sound of Freedom and it was not available that day. This time we bought our tickets in advance online and the theatre was almost empty. We had a good experience and we would definitely come back. read more

It was a typical movie theatre. The seats do not recline and less space between chairs. Thankfully the movie we watched was not too crowded and could stretch out but would not want to come on a packed movie day. They have drinks, candy, and food in the lobby. There is also a small game area. I would love for them to upgrade to recline chairs in at least one theatre but will use them again. They are located next to many restaurants and recommend grabbing a bite elsewhere before going to the movie. read more

The staff were great coming in and everything went well. However, when we sat down to watch the movie, there was continuous issues. First, the seats were not all functional. Some leaned back while others did not. Second, there was a group of teenage boys behind us that were throwing things and talking loudly throughout the whole movie. We talked to them a few times, but nothing changed. I was going to say something to the staff, but they didn't look much older than the boys, so I honestly don't know if anything would have happened. Lastly, we sat through 30 mins of commercials, previews, and more commercials. The movie started at 8:05, and if I had known that we wouldn't have sat when we did. Overall, the experience was not worth the cost for my family and I to go to the movies at this location, and perhaps this cinema chain. read more

I've seen dozens of movies at this theater and consider it a mixed bag. Let's start with the positives. The location is great. They validate parking in the enclosed garages and there are tons of wonderful restaurants and shops to enjoy before or after your show. They also have one of the top IMAX setups in the region for blockbusters. I also like their Cinemark Movie Pass system which gives me a movie credit each month. The credits roll over and, unlike AMC's offering, I can use the credits to buy tickets for my companions. Cinemark also has a ton of auditoriums and so they offer more movies and more screentimes than other local options. Now for the down sides. Post-covid they've started showing a bunch of non-trailer commercials before each screening. And the movies generally start 15-30 minutes late, so I'm often stuck watching car commercials way past showtime. I just find that disrespectful. I'm OK with movie trailers as those are part of the traditional experience and can be fun to watch on a giant screen. Comcast Xfinity ads aren't. And while the IMAX setup is impressive for blockbusters, the sound in those auditoriums is way too loud. My phone is constantly vibrating in my pocket with ear damage warnings. The sound in their other auditoriums is more reasonable. The seats and spacing is OK, but not nearly as good as at AMC Factoria 8. They charge outrageous "convenience fees" for purchasing your ticket online unless you subscribe to Movie Pass. For these reasons, AMC Factoria 8 is now my go-to theater. They don't waste my time with non-trailer ads and the seats are larger and better with more room between rows. Cinemark is my backup for when AMC doesn't have any showtimes that work for me. read more

I went with 6 of my colleagues last Wednesday to see the 5:30 pm Mission Impossible movie at the 21+. Terrible experience. The lights were on. And when I asked I was told it was for safety reasons. The servers needed more light. We go all the time and have never noticed that before. When I asked why this time, I got the "I don't know". Maybe the lights were too bright. They said they've been having trouble with that. It was kind of a shrug of the shoulders answer. We spend per person $20 - $40 on food and drinks each time. I wound have liked more than a shrug and some resolution when during the movie asked. If they don't care about my movie experience then don't care about going back. I can stay up and put the lights on. I don't need to spend $50+ for someone else to do it. Or if this is for Autism or safety, let me know ahead of time so I'm not surprised. Always love coming to this theatre. Have been only coming to this particular theatre for all my movies the past 6 months and always a great experience. Service is usually very fast and also very nice, food is very good and so are the drinks! The best part is this theatre is always clean no matter what time and what size of the particular theatre! Our family Watched Minecraft movie and the theater staff was notified about a group of kids who were not considerate of other mover goers. They were excessively yelling screaming clapping and throwing items and popcorn throughout the entire movie. It made watching the movie very anxiety provoking and unpleasant. read more

Person at the door was pretty unkind in telling us that we could not bring in a bag of healthy popcorn. No outside food allowed even if you have medical reasons. Considering the world of allergies and alternative food choices this place is behind the times. The manager Floyd Kalani wouldn't even come out to reason with us, just kept sending Sam out with his decision to not allow it. Sitting in a theater for close to two hours smelling other people's food that you can't eat does dampen the movie theater experience. We won't be back. read more

Omg I took my three boys age 17,6,3 and my husband to a Netflix preview and it's was amazing experience!! My two boys age 3,6 it was the first time to a movie theater and they did amazing and everyone there was so nice :) We got popcorn yummy and soda and was easy to get parking and find the Theater on the top floor. It was clean and omg omg the leather seats were so so comfortable and rocking I really appreciate everything and the bathroom was clean and good toilet paper We didn't have to pay for parking on a Saturday at 11-1 pm Again that's Yelp and Netflix and the movie theater making this a morning I'll remember FOREVER read more

As a person w/medical condition, necessitating me to take my own drink- I was told NO EXCEPTIONS, THROW IT AWAY!! YET, my daughter w/her service dog & water for him to drink was allowed to take it into the theater! After, the movie I was feeling dizzy, shaky & unsteady- if I had the drink I brought this would not have happened! My friend we were with went & got me something to drink that was ok, the shakes, dizziness & unsteadiness passed after about 10-15 minutes! Their policy caused me to have a medical incident that if not for my friend would've been disastrous; especially w/my disabled daughter w/me! Went to a standard screening for the movie Gladiator 2. They were about 15-20 minutes late on putting anything on the screen (it was blank). Several times people left the theater to let the staff know people were in the theater past the show time waiting for the movie to start. The display quality itself for the theater screen was kinda like looking at a TN panel, light blacks; furthest thing from HDR/OLED. I have no pictures to show as I don't usually take photos of a movie theater and it has been absolutely forever since I had been to the movies! Of course I came here to see Barbie and now I believe I have my go to movie experience! You sit in a super comfortable seat which you can reserve and push a buttom. The nice young lady or man comes and you tell the what you want to eat, drink, or whatever. Access the menu on the QR code and voila you are smart, lol. No waiting in line and carrying your snacks back to your seat and juggling and balancing trying to sit down and put your food down. It is a must movie going experience. The theater itself I was in was small and not huge. I imagine that each screening room here has a different size theater perhaps. Will have to come again to find out. Super friendly service and excellent sound experience here. Like being at a private movie event. Worth the cost to come to a more luxury style movie situation. Happy viewing everyone. Went to a 7.55 show only to be forced to watch ads and trailers for 35 minutes and finally the movie began at 8.30. Not to mention that this was a kids movie. Many families left to not delay bedtime further. Please take this feedback and reduce the ads and trailers. You are wasting 35 minutes of people's time for a movie less than 2 hours. Not bad - it definitely used to feel nicer, but it's still significantly better than some other theatres still around. It's in a good location (at the mall) but could use more patrons as movie theatres in general seem to be a dying breed - and there's definitely way less people going than there used to be. Sometimes it's fun to keep the magic alive going to a cinema rather than watch movies at home so I would hate to see them completely go out of business. They just need to find new ways to renovate or keep it exciting, maybe with new deals/promotions/perks. read more

The seats are uncomfortable, and tickets are more expensive than AMC-Bellevue. The same Taylor Swift concert tickets I bought at Cinemark (2 adults and 1 kid) costed me 35% more than what I can buy at AMC with much better seats. The most horrible experience is with their customer service - you are not treated like a customer but pushed away with various excuses: The assistant store manager, Evan, said that I needed to pay 30% more than what I had paid for the three super saving tickets. However, he couldn't explain the difference between the amount shown on the checkout screen and what I had actually pre-paid. The customer service staff at the 800 number, led by Christopher, was rude and refused to address the misleading pricing issue. By the way, the bathroom is extremely dirty. Looking at the past one-star reviews - a consistent complaint is about the customer service. I didn't realize how terrible it is until I actually experienced it today. The 30-40 minutes of advertisements before your movie starts becomes very aggravating. Mission Impossible did not start at 1:45. Ads began about 10 minutes before and the film at about 2:10-2:15. Some of the ads were run more than once. The food and drinks were good and service is excellent but the advertisements keep this from a five star rating. This was the case for the few films we've seen there. Not sure how I feel about coming again. read more
