Alright, first of - this is my first review ever. I decided to visit Ipic teather/salt with my GF to celebrate Valentines on feb 15 2012 around 6pm...a very nice place! We got a little early before our movie so we went to the bar area (I think is called salt) to enjoy a drink, we walked in and sat....at first I felt like noone paid attention to us, so we waited......yeah 3 servers on computers, 2 bartenders, one female server taking a big party order, the place was kind of empty and yet still we waited...so I decided to get up and ordered 2 drinks at the bar one hefe and a vodka cran, then noticed at the distance a server finally went to drop menus to my GF where we were sitting..came back w my drinks, we finished them and NOONE went to us and asked us if we wanted another round or if we wanted to order food.... yet still I went to the bar to order another round. :( I could understand this type of service when a restaurant is busy...but there were 4/5 tables and a big top of 8 people...and lots and lots of empty tables. maybe we got there at the wrong time i asked myself, anyways! The best part of the night was our movie, we watched safe house... the premium seats recliners were awesome and our server "Kacie M" was super super NICE!!! everyone else who was working around that time "again" on Feb 15 from 5:50pm to 6:45 from the host-bar-servers at salt totally sucked!! I went down to Redmond iPic Theater and believe it or not.. Had a horrible time. The server was rude and he forgot to order our food. So we where waiting the whole movie to eat and it never came. At the end of the film all he said was "Sorry I forgot". Still charged us the sodas and hinted about getting a tip.. iPics has a long way to go... Go to AMC. Cheaper and you don't leave pissed. *** Update!!!*** A manager by the name of Ashley, to my surprise, contacted me today from the iPics theater.. She apologized about my horrible experience I had and said there has been changes made and better training with there servers. It might be BS who knows... Increasingly disappointing. We first stopped into Salt lounge for appetizer and drink. Eh' service is always slow. The theater premium seats are why we go, however the service is getting worse. Our seats missing 3D glasses. The wait staff never came back around. Dropped the check, then never came back. Had to pay at the bar on the way out. I want to update my review of iPic. While I have not been back since my last review I have been contacted by iPic and they have acknowledged my concerns and have committed to taking steps to improve. I am a business owner myself and do not think you can ask any more from a company when they disappoint their customers. I will be going back to iPic and update again after my next visit. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the staff there recognizes that they are in a fairly high end service business and to treat their customers accordingly. read more

Another great experience at iPic last night. There was a yelp event there. We were wined and dined in exceptional style. Can't say enough about the fantastic appetizers. We sat in the VIP seats. I felt like I was in my own living room, recliner chairs, plush soft blankets, and pillows....except with someone waiting on me hand and foot. Service was superb. What a GREAT EVENT. I love this place, it is the only place i go to watch movies. It is the only place i can enjoy a movie. Great seats, friendly staff, good drinks, good food. recently i was going to see the Hobbit there, and right before my movie was to start the fire alarm went off. no one was hurt, there wasn't even a fire, but an issue with the HVAC system. i was unable to see my movie. i was bummed, but hey, no worries, it was just being safe, i don't complain about being safe. so after the fire dept let people back into the building i stopped by the front desk to ask for a refund. they gave refunds to everyone right away, and free movie tickets for the future. more than i asked for, cool. couple of days later i get an email from iPic asking for details about what movie I say, how many in my party, etc. and apologizing for the incident. today i received a personal call from someone on the customer service team, again apologizing for the incident and then gave me more free tickets. yes free tickets are always nice, but what i think makes iPic so awesome is that they went above and beyond the call, to do more than make up for something i didn't see as their fault. this is top notch customer service. they have already earned my business, now and in the future. what they earned with this episode and their response, is my exclusive business in the future. why would i go anywhere else? read more

I have always liked iPic and had a good experience here. However, the last time we went we got to our seat and they gave us a blanket that reeked of someone else's perfume. I asked the guy to switch it out, then my boyfriend asked him if they wash their blankets. The guy working at the theater said they don't wash them between people, they don't have enough blankets and the shows start too soon so they don't clean them right away, they just refold them for the next person. Gross! Other than their blankets being used by other people, the seats are nice and the shows are not over crowded. read more

Today I took my husband to iPic Theater in Redmond for his birthday. There was some confusion with our tickets since we wanted to take advantage of the free birthday ticket offer for members. Both my husband and I have been members since the theater opened as Gold Class Cinemas. Theater manager Parris Cartwright stepped in and cleared up the ticket issue. Parris and everyone at iPic gave us great service, as we've come to expect. It's a great place to see a movie in comfort and style!! read more

Amazing theater experience, now we do not go to normal theaters anymore! Reasonably priced considering a trip to a regular theater still runs us $40 with crappy popcorn and tight seats. YOU MUST reserve ahead of time online if you want the VIP chairs. Become a member for discounts (its free!) VERY DISAPPOINTED. I went to see 'The Butler' at 10pm. The speakers in the theater had a horrible static feedback issue any time music was playing or if the talking was too loud. Our choices were miss part of the movie or deal with it. We ordered the $22 special where you pick one appetizer, one entree and one dessert. We also ordered sodas. Our appetizer and entree arrived in a timely manner but towards the end of the movie we were wondering if our server just up and left. One person from our party left the theater (missing part of the $25 movie she had paid to see) in order to find the waiter. He had said he had 'forgotten' about it. He finally arrived with the dessert smelling intensely of cigarette smoke and realizing that our drinks had been long gone offered to refill them. We politely said yes and waited another 15 for them to arrive (long after we had finished our dessert). Ultimately, I've never had a negative thing to say about iPic but this experience had me leaving angry and disappointed. I would not recommend that any of my friends give their business to iPic. Horrible service and torturous sound quality (like trying to listen to the radio with static for two hours) there just is not enough effort put forth by this company for a positive review. Sorry iPic, you left a very sour taste in this movie goers mouth. I will not be returning. read more

Let us start by saying we love kids and we have our own... Like the others have written, we were very surprised that iPic now allows children into the theaters. Food and drink are very pricey, but we were willing to pay that for the 21+ experience. With under 21 now allowed, you can no longer get a full bottle of wine served in theater which caused us to spend $14 per glass of wine each. Seemed a bit like a gimmick to charge higher prices. Thanks to the change in age policy and the other changes implemented with that policy, we will no longer frequent this establishment. Date night will be elsewhere. Update: Guess our 1 start rating has buried this review and doesn't even warrant a response, albeit a canned response, from the movie theater. Guess they just don't care. Goodbye iPic. This afternoon, my husband, daughter and I were taking a walk around Redmond Town Center. My daughter is beginning a new career in the area and we wanted to see what Town Center had to offer. We poked our heads in iPic theaters and were immediately and warmly greeted by Ashley who asked if we'd ever been in before and went on to enthusiastically explain the entire iPic/Salt experience to us. Impressed, I asked for one of the flyers so I could show my husband who was seated nearby. Ashley noticed we were still there and offered to actually show us one of empty theaters to see first hand just how lovely and comfortable they actually were! We enjoyed our visit and after learning more about iPic, all three of us decided that soon after my daughter is settled in the area we are all going to attend and immerse ourselves in the complete iPic/Salt experience. I truly appreciate Ashley's genuine and friendly greeting and that she went out of her way to show us around. She is a terrific representative of the theater! read more

I'm not a huge fan of Ipic anymore. I loved coming here a couple years ago and before they were epic theaters. The food and service are terrible! The seating is uncomfortable and the recliners worse than the previous seating. The buttons to use to move the recliners are so sensitive that I had to keep adjusting the recliner during the movie because my leg kept nudging it. We have been coming to this theater for years. I have to say, after the "Premium Plus" experience it's pretty difficult to talk yourself into going to see a movie at a "common" movie theater! We have also spent many Sunday's at the bar watching the Seahawks during the past several football seasons. (Go Hawks!) My husband and I purchased tickets online to see Lucy on our anniversary, August 23, 2014. We had gone to iPic the previous year for our anniversary and loved it, so we were excited for the experience again. Upon check-in we were informed that one of our (Premium Plus) seats was broken and could not recline. We asked to switch seats as it was a special occasion for us and we'd driven 45 minutes just to go there. The remaining seats were unfortunately sold out, so we could not switch. As I turned to my husband to discuss what we should do, the theater manager said that we would be refunded our full price but could stay and watch the movie if we'd be fine sitting in the broken seat. I was quite surprised, pleasantly so, as I would have been fine just getting refunded the difference in price for the premium non-reclining seats. We found our seats and discovered that the broken seat was still quite comfortable despite the reclining part not working, and ordered our dinner and watched the movie. About 3/4 through the movie, the manager came up to me in the dark and handed me two free tickets for a future visit! This was a wonderful surprise! Topping it all off, we discovered that $10 had been comped off our dinner/drinks bill as well. Management at iPic Redmond went above and beyond to make us happy on our anniversary, and we will definitely be back! read more

we've been going here for years now. love some aspects of the theater.. reclining seats and seclusion are awesome, but tonight reached a new low. There was no running water. Yet they were still serving food and drinks. we didn't realize the situation until we'd already eaten and drank. I could kind of see some lipstick marks on my wine glass and was a little freaked out about that but thought, surely it was still clean but some sort of dishwasher remnant but after seeing that you couldn't even wash your hands after going to the bathroom I have to wonder.. I'm seriously concerned about our health now. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE HEALTH DEPT. this was uncool. There are other nice theatre options. We won't be returning. this was an absolute NEW LOW. if you have no running water you have no running water.. but tell the customer what's going on.. Don't serve things that require hands on. serve canned coke and water in a bottle.. If the health dept showed up tonight they'd have been shut down. I am not even touching the depth of my concern and disappointment in this review. read more

Love this place! This place is the leader in its competitive category by far. The benefits over Cinnebar are multiple: You can reserve seats online, the venue is clean and comfortable, and the employees are superior. Menu choices are impressive and the environment, including the bar and restaurant, is equal to attending a decent restaurant on any given night. I took one star away because their food and drink are overpriced... but what do you expect? Such is the norm for this kind of place. We've been so many times to this venue. We want to love it. We just can't. Premium seats every time...and every time...they just don't have enough staff to come through on the service they want to provide. To have your drinks delivered 25 minutes after we ordered them, to ask 3 times for a glass of water, to buy a bottle of wine (in hopes that we could alleviate the need for service) in return to be told that they can't leave the bottle at your table due to "liquor laws" and then have to chase down two staff in the lobby to get another glass...we're sadly done. Spoke to management and they basically shrugged. Love to go back if it ever gets better, but will be advising against to our friends until then. read more

This place is hit and miss at most. When it used to be Gold Class Cinema and all the seats were comfy recliners with a call button for service, it was great. Since it's become iPic its mostly underwhelming. Its a tale of two worlds every time we go. Either the bar/food service in the main area before the movie lacks or the service in the theater is abysmal. The first couple times it would take a supreme effort to get the barstaff's attention for a drink or more food. Often time's you'd have to get the busboy's attention to get service. Lately, the barstaff's service has been good, but the attendants in the theater have been horrible. We just saw "A Million Ways to Die in the West" on a Sunday evening and the waiter stopped by only once at the start of the movie and never stopped by again. They are supposed to stop before the start and then about 30 minutes in and then once before the end for last call. We had to run down the waiter in the hallway to order something which took 20 minutes. I want to love the concept here but their service is going to drive them out of business. read more

I am always pleased with going to iPic in Redmond. The staff is wonderful, always attentive and takes care of me. The drinks are well done, Rachel makes the best old fashion that I have ever had and she always has a smile on her face. The bar and restaurant are clean, theaters as well. I am here often, probably 3 or more times a month and have not had an issue. Want awesome drinks, great food and a wonderful experience (going to a movie or just dinner?), this is a great place to go. read more

We recently went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We splurged and spent a little more money on the premium plus seats, which are always great. It's nice being able to recline as much or as little as you'd like, and get comfortable with the provided blanket and pillow. We ordered drinks and food, and our server was great; very attentive. My only complaint is how expensive some of the items can be. A tiny cocktail that costs $15, while tasty, seems a bit much. But all in all, it's a pretty great theater -- definitely a change from the regular theaters. read more

If you're going to iPic, make sure to make a reservation for the comfy seats in the back. This place is ridiculously over priced!! My partner and I spent over $100 on dinner, a few drinks and a movie. The food was nothing special at all and because we didn't spend $27 on the VIP tickets, we had to figure out how to get all of our food and drinks to our seats on our own. Our waitress let me use a tray and even helped us out. The whole thing was just really inconvenient. I noticed the seats were dirty as well. We will not be back. Cinebarre is a way better bang for your buck! Far more affordable on every level! Plus you get served at your seats. read more

The concept is great - large oversize recliners that you can reserve in advance for new release movies. Unfortunately the Redmond facility shows either a total lack of caring what the place looks like, or an intentional poor management. We've attended several (more than 3) movies at the Redmond location this year (2018) and found the restrooms - both men's and women's horrible - water puddles flooding the floors, overfull trash cans, and the women's restroom with broken seats and non-functioning toilets. The last movie we attended the temperate of the theater approached unbearably hot. When mentioned to the manager on the way out his response was they had people out working on it but was unaware it was hot in the theater - even though the wait staff mentioned it when asked and gave me the feeling he didn't really care. Food is really expensive and only average in taste...consider passing for only the complimentary popcorn! Great concept - poor execution! Perhaps its hiring local kids to manage the place? We doubt we'll return...and feel too bad about that! read more

It's been a while since I've updated my review. My wife and I have been going here for years. We are "Platinum Elite" members (highest tier with the most discounts/rewards). I'm still a big fan of iPic in general, so much so that we recently visited their Westwood location in LA. The Redmond location had been the best "luxury theater" (reserved reclining seats with in-seat food/alcohol service) in the region. That said, ever since "Cinemark Reserve" in Bellevue opened, it's been hard for us to justify visiting iPic. At the moment, Reserve beats it on almost all levels in terms of quality and pricing. If you want to combine dinner and a movie - Reserve has it beat. IMO, if iPic doesn't adjust their pricing, they may lose a ton of business. I'll give more details below including a price breakdown. Experience: Both iPic/Reserve offer first run movies in fancy reclining seats you can reserve online. The menus are similar cocktails/burgers/salads/flatbread. Because Reserve is a newer theater, the screens are better quality/larger and has the option of quality 3D (if you care... personally, I hate 3D, but it's worth noting that iPic 3D tech was so outdated they thankfully discontinued showing movies in 3D format at all). Reserve's in-seat service is benefited by having a dedicated call button so servers will come to you promptly only when you need them. That's a win. Each seat at Reserve has a personal table trey for food/drinks. While each seat is in a row (as opposed to iPic's pairs), Reserve benefits by having large dividers in front of each row so you don't get as distracted by your fellow patrons. A couple notes in iPic's favor. FWIW, each iPic seat comes with a pillow and blanket. iPic also has a lounge/bar area for pre-movie snacks/drinks, though it's worth noting that Reserve is located in the same building as multiple bars/restaurants. Overall, IMO, Reserve offers a better experience. Ticket Pricing: Up front, it's worth pointing out that moviepass.com ($7-10 per month to see unlimited movies at conventional theaters) has disrupted the theater industry. As more conventional theaters add reserved online seating and recliners, it means both iPic and Reserve have major competition. A couple quick examples. As a MoviePass subscriber, I can see a movie every single day at either Loews Factoria (conventional theater that added recliners) or Cinebarre Issaquah (the poor man's iPic with in-seat service) and only pay $7 per month. That's like 23 cents per ticket. It's important to bring that up, because while neither iPic or Reserve are available with the MoviePass subscription, I believe Cinemark Reserve, being a new theater, has built their pricing model with this changing landscape in mind. They recently released their own program called "Cinemark Movie Club". If you're only interested in seeing movies at a standard theater, their program isn't really worth it compared to moviepass.com, but it makes an impact when comparing Reserve to iPic. Even despite the fact my wife and I are "Platinum Elite" members at iPic, Reserve is cheaper. Here's the breakdown for a pair of tickets: Weekend (Fri-Sun). iPic = $52 (no member discount on weekends). Reserve = $26.76 w/membership ($36 without). We can see a movie at Reserve for almost half the price in spite of our "Platinum Elite" iPic membership. Weekday (Mon-Thu). iPic = $36 (or $24 with Platinum membership). Reserve = $28 (or $18.52 with their membership). Reserve is cheaper. Food Pricing: Similar offerings. A bit subjective, but I prefer Reserve's food. Prices are cheaper at Reserve. Some examples: Quesadilla = $13 at iPic/$9 at Reserve.... Margherita flatbread = $14 at iPic/$9.50 at Reserve... 3 burger sliders at ipic costs $16. A regular size hamburger with fries at Cinemark costs $11. In addition, Cinemark's membership gets you 20% off concessions. Fair to point out that iPic members get free popcorn. Loyalty Rewards: As a iPic Platinum Elite member, we get 1.5 points for every dollar spent. If you figure we drop about $100 per visit, we're getting around 150 points. That's about $1.50 in iPic bucks. That doesn't clear the gap in how much cheaper Cinemark Reserve is. Reserve's "movie club" gets you 20% off concessions and a points program that you can redeem for various movie swag and concession discounts. Ipic's membership gets a few other benefits like a free birthday ticket, a Holiday gift that is usually pretty nice, and exclusive events, but they've been rare the last couple years. Bottom line: My wife and I have been going to iPic on average around once per week for years (going back to when they were called Gold Class Cinema). Cinemark Reserve is a better theater and as long as these prices stay where they are, it's going to be very hard to justify visiting iPic. I love the theater, but $52 for a pair of tickets makes it hard to give this 4-5 stars when there are other options. read more

I have always loved watching movies at this theater with food and wine. I took my daughter for a fun afternoon to have a couple drinks and laughs watching book club. The movie was awesome and the one glass of wine we were offered was great. No one came back to check if we wanted anything else the whole movie until the very end with last call. OK, I'm a 46 year old Twilight lover so I didn't want to go just anywhere to see New Moon! This place was AWESOME!! I loved it and since I go to about 3 movies a year I'll definitely be seeing my movies here.
