Mimosas Cabaret is one of these hidden gems of Seattle. Fabulously tacky, raunchy, fun and definitely worth a trip to Capitol Hill. We went there for the brunch and it was a wonderful experience. Drinks upstairs are very good, including the virgin options. The upstairs décor is over the top horny with unicorns, narwhales, antelopes, deer and many other horns, a delightfully tacky mix of pink and hunting lodge, maybe? After downstairs opened, we were ushered to our table and got our brunch food (kale cesar, eggs, scalloped potatoes, bacon etc.). For the price this was quite good, and the $2 mimosas and other drinks were yummy. After around 45 mins the show started and MC Izzy Access was fun, potty-mouthed, read the room well and was over the top fabulous. Great job hosting and leading through the program. She kicked it off strong and it got better and better. Each performer (Izzy, Joel, Ruby and Louvel) had solo numbers and there were multiple group numbers. The performers are oh so talented and these ladies and Joel can sing, wow! No lip-syncing, but actual singing and very well done in glamorous costumes. Skarlet's comedy shtick was so-so, interesting mix of diarrhea, police chases and racism, certainly a potent mixture but the repeated diarrhea and racism bit fell flat and Skarlet just wasn't very good. Which she'll probably think is crappy and racist, too. Then came the celebrations and the ladies did a great job coaxing the shy people into the front of the room and asking them sexual questions. And they were also great at keeping the few overly tipsy folks under control - seasoned MC's for sure! The second half after the intermission was the highlight - a wonderful redux / mini-musical version of Illegally Blonde with tons of fabulous costumes, lots of sass and near-perfect lip-syncing, mixed with great stage decorations and wonderful video segments. Fun and super-well done, wow! Can't wait to see more of these shows! A few tips: - Bring some $1 bills or change cash upstairs so you can tip the ladies, they deserve it! - Don't do the mimosas upstairs, they are full price. Mimosas downstairs are two bucks for the first one per show ticket. - A word of caution for AA's and folks in recovery - Mimosas pushes the drinks pretty hard and you'll be offered a shot if you come up for a celebration. They have good virgin options and free water at a self-service station. - Street parking is challenging, ah well it's Seattle, no surprise here. There are some parking lots two blocks away, expect to pay $15-20. We loved the show and will definitely back, so much fun! read more

I saw Hung Frankenstein at the Unicorn on 10/13, and it was so funny and so entertaining!!

This drag brunch was the perfect way to start our Saturday with a delicious buffet, mimosas, and a showstopping performance from some of Seattle's best drag queens. The buffet included fruit, kale salad, potatoes two ways, French toast, eggs, biscuits, gravy, bacon and sausage. It was all very yummy. The show is the real star of the brunch though. The queens are multi-talented and so funny. They sing, dance, and lip-sync their way through the program while wearing towering heels and still cracking jokes. (I'm biased toward Ruby Bouche, but they are all great!) So if you're looking for a brunch that's over the top, extravagant, and simply divine, then Mimosas and Cabaret is the place for you. This drag show is the best around- Hands down! Mimosa's Cabaret takes place in the basement of the Unicorn bar in Capital Hill. We've been to the Halloween Beetlejuice show and the Christmas spin off of the Grinch. Both were seriously hilarious, totally fun, and a great time! They have a breakfast buffet at Mimosa's cabaret, but you can also buy fair themed food upstairs and bring it down. The bars are the same menus as Unicorn, so lots of fun and fruity drinks! My tip is to bring some cash for the drag queens- if you have big bills the bar will happily break them into $1 bills too. Overall, Mimosa's Cabaret is a must! read more

When planning 50th birthdays for three people our group, I wanted to make it a super special event. We came from BC to Seattle to spend our weekend, but this brunch was the big highlight surprise. This place, and these Queens are the most fun you can have while drinking pink Unicorns and eating biscuits and gravy from the buffet. It is the most delightful and bawdy cabaret, the food is pretty good, and the drinks are great because they are unique and not expensive. The show itself was so creative and a feast for the eyes. We laughed at the comedy talent, and were floored by the voices of these beauties. And oh are they beautiful. The energy in the room was palpable and everybody was there for a good time. We got a table right at the front, which made the whole thing more intimate and immersive. Advice before you go: show up a half hour before and have a drink in the Unicorn Bar before the doors open. At showtime you can go to the Narwal dive bar down below to be seated. The process for getting to your table is smooth and organized. Bring a bunch of small bills to tip the performers. They certainly deserve it. My only complaint was the hard chairs. I have back issues, and wished I had brought a pillow. I can not recommend this experience enough. It is fun, sexy, beautiful and very worth the money. Best idea for a birthday, but be warned, if your friends tell the Queens it is your birthday, you will be up on stage being asked suggestive questions. It is fantastic fun. read more

Who knew ladies could be more fabulous than their accessories? Well, the ladies are fabulous and so are their accessories! Cabaret is located downstairs in the Unicorn and also serves as the wait area. I easily purchased my ticket online which also allows for you to purchase a ticket within your party as long as your party is registered. Parking was terrible!... typical of Capital Hill. Make sure to find parking that has long term parking to allow for time for the show. Fantastic brunch for my friend's bachelorette party and bc our party was the largest, we got seated first! All seating offers great view of the stage, although seating area is also tiny which allows for great seats and a intimate experience. I chose not to buy the brunch this trip, however I thoroughly enjoyed the mimosas which were served before and throughout the show. Loved, loved, loved the performers, and yes I have my favorites! Remember to bring some bills to tip your performers and bar/waitstaff. read more

The show is great and everyone (over 21) will have a good time. They mix it up the first act but second is 30 minute stripped down musical. I went with a lot of coworkers and everyone had a blast. Big groups have a code word so you all get seated together. Also bring singles and have cash. No one told me so I spent all but one dollar upstairs waiting to get in. They do a game show before Intermission that you need cash for and my group only had $21 combined by that point. The drinks are okay but that's the Unicorn for you. The mimosas were good aren't big so you will finish it before the show starts. The buffet was better than I imagined it would be. The corn dogs and French toast bread pudding were so delicious. read more

Amazing local drag queens providing much needed live entertainment! The food is ok and the drinks/performers are amazing. We saw the "Chicago" version and all three girls did an amazing job with dancing, lip syncing and quite a bit of excellent live singing. Highly recommended. Truly one of the best drag brunches I have been to and that is considering that I have been to drag brunches in New York City, San Fransisco and LA which are huge places for drag brunch. Literally these Seattle queens are goddesses. The brunch was buffet style and they do take reservations first, however we lucked out with great seats because people didn't show up. The food was okay but let's be honest, we're all here for the mimosas! I loved this place and their performances and Seattle drag. The drag brunch occurs downstairs in the basement and they are super time strict so be there on time. Cash only but they have an atm. The style and decoration upstairs kind of reminded me of a circus. Also I loved this show so much I literally almost missed my flight. Come for the tits, stay for the show. And let me clarify: Mama Tits is impressive well beyond those sequin-encrusted mounds. Likely, you don't know me, but let me tell you a (not so) secret- I've been to more drag shows than I have shoes and well, Imelda's got nothing on me, hunty. So, I speak from a place of glittered expertise and I'll tell you: Mama was a gracious, funny, smart and oh-so-entertaining hostess. I'd seen her out and about but this is the first time I'd managed to see her perform and DAMN! It was amazing. The show was a mix of classic drag-synch, comedic song send ups (complete with audience on-the-stage-a-little-against-their-will participation), game show w/PRIZES, glittery prizes! and honest-to-goodness (albeit lip synced) not-too-far off Broadway theatre. If you've been to that one down the way but were all 'meh' about it, get your sweet ass down here and come to Mama! You'll have a damn lovely Sunday and have more fun than you ever did at that other show. read more

Start your day off with Seattle's #1 Drag Brunch! These guys, I mean gals are fabulous! They know how to throw an entertaining performance! They lip-sync, perform broadway acts and throw games. I was pretty amazed that Mama Tits (host) had a new outfit each time she introduced a new line-up. It was like The Grammys or something. lol. Mama Tits is a riot -- funny, witty and raunchy. And of all names to pick, Mama Tits? I wonder what would be her counterpart? Papa Dildo? lol. Hopefully later in the future they will offer more shows, and preferably in the evening. Not all of us are Sunday brunch folks, plus the real fun comes out at night. ;) read more

Really fun and high energy. Each performer was amazing during the variety show and the mini musical was hilarious. The event also served brunch which was about 13 bucks and was pretty good as well! I definitely recommend going and supporting these drag queens and king. I'm looking forward to seeing their winter musical next month! read more

Mimosas with Mama is just plain fun in every way. The girls are all beautiful and extremely talented. Mama is a scream - smart, funny, sarcastic, a little bit dirty... All things I love. I've been to quite a few drag shows, and this show was definitely unique. Following are my thoughts: The show itself included everything I'd expect to see at your standard drag show but much much more. Of course, we saw the lovely ladies lip-syncing to some fantastic songs (including Liza), a group act with some "participants" from the audience that had me laughing hysterically, and a fantastic shortened reimagining of the Wizard of Oz. I'd definitely recommend the show to anyone who asked or didn't ask for that matter. I absolutely always love the combination of a lovely Sunday brunch with a great show. The cost for the brunch was confusingly low considering the area, $12 for a buffet style breakfast that was really quite good. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to order off of the full menu from the Unicorn, but I was not disappointed in the options provided. All in all, I had a fantastic time. Spending a Sunday with Mama Tits and her girls is definitely a MUST. read more

3 stars because as the Yelp rating goes: "meh, I've experienced better". This was their first Christmas show for the season, and the lip syncing was off the majority of the time. There was also a groupie in the audience named Michael that was annoying and distracting. The queens seemed to know him. He kept yelling "yesssssss!!!!" at the top of his lungs several times throughout every performance, which was so distracting. There was some live singing as well, which was really great. I've heard a lot about Mama Tits, but sadly, she wasn't at this show. My friend and I ate elsewhere before the show, but the brunch buffet actually looked really good. They had potato's, toast, French toast, mac & cheese, eggs, etc. When you purchase your tickets, it says that groups of 6 or more will be assigned seats. So we got there early so we could try to get good seats, but it turns out it's assigned seating for everyone. They don't let you downstairs until the actual start time of 1PM.. and the show didn't begin until 1:30, so no need to arrive early. At the end of the show, they had a mini musical. It was a spin off of The Grinch, which was clever. There were only 4 performers in the entire show, so it is on the smaller side. It was nice checking out a show at a different place, but I wasn't blown away. read more

I was so excited to see this show I showed up a week early...oops! I was ready to take my mom and myself home until the following week but the hostess, Mama herself let us stay :) Once we got down stairs and found a seat we were approached by Disco Vinnie who had a table with a better view of the stage for us to move to, so here the show hadn't even started and we are already impressed!! We had our complimentary mimosa (included with the ticket) and enjoyed a fabulous show full of talent and fun! At the time there was a 30min Dreamgirl's number included that was so incredibly well done it made me regret not seeing the 30min Hairspray number that had been in the show prior to Dreamgirl's...lesson learned we will not miss the show changes anymore!! read more

WOW! The costumes, the makeup, the hair, the performances was nothing short of amazing. I went to their Boob Job for the Holi-Gays show written by one of the Queens and it was great! They killed the holiday theme and I can't wait to see them for a 'normal' production. I loved that there was live singing in addition to the classic lip-syncing. The brunch buffet was actually pretty good and if you get a full plate or two, definitely worth the $13! Would highly recommend this show!! read more

Traveled from Michigan knowing I wanted to at least catch one drag show while I was in town. Found this brunch hosted by a drag queen named 'Mama Tits'... how could I say no to this? I'm a drag queen myself, so I know a fair amount about drag queenery and can honestly say i was blown away by this troupe of ladyboys. This brunch production is absolutely professional in all extents. They are here to do just more than entertain you, they want you to leave knowing you just saw the best drag show you possibly can. I researched (a lot actually) the other drag brunches around town, which are a good amount... and this one struck me out as the most fun one, I don't think I'm wrong. The show was about 3 hours of pure entertainment for a really decent price. I highly recommend this show for all to enjoy, it had a little bit of everything. But especially sequins. Lots of sequins. read more

Hard working ladies and gentlemen. I loved the song where they did my body is my body and my body alone. It's not ok that politicians are telling women what to do with their bodies. Women don't tell men what to do with their bodies. I enjoyed the caberet and they had amazing work and special effects. I love that they were so energetic and animated and they are all great performers each and every one of them. I hope I'm not missing anyone. Thank you so much for putting on such a great show! My wife and I are new to the Seattle area and we're looking for something fun to do on a Sunday. We did some searching around and happened upon Unicorn, a whimsical and unique bar that rings true to its name. When you first step into Unicorn you are met with colorful carnival themed decorations and a friendly staff. We sat down at the bar and had a drink. We had only been sitting for about 5 minutes when from out of nowhere we heard cheering and the sounds of someone singing "sweet transvestite" coming from somewhere down in the basement. Of course I immediately demanded to know what was going on, as: 1. Rocky Horror is one my favorites 2. Someone was actually singing it LIVE and quite well I might add. After finding out from the bartender that they have the drag shows every Sunday we ran downstairs to catch the remainder of the show. It was $25 a person and WELL worth the money we paid. I have never been to a drag show before today, but my wife has been to several and said it was the best she's ever seen. Mama Tits is a riot, a true queen with a sassy attitude and an amazing stage presence. One of the things I loved about this show was that the queens actually sang for some of it. I know that most drag shows are nothing but lip syncing...not this one (although it did have it, which I didn't mind at all). Then just when I thought the show couldn't get any better they announced today was the opening night of "Chicago"!! The costumes, acting and choreography was true to the actual musical. Fierce is the only word that comes to mind when describing this drag show. These performers came out and poured their blood, sweat and glitter on that stage and kept me fully entertained the entire time. I can't wait to go back again :) read more

One of my most favorite ways of spending my Sunday afternoons (after church, of course). Mama's mini-musicals are fantastic. The cast are extremely talented, you even get a little live singing! The costumes are great and the energetic choreography keeps things exciting and moving! The optional brunch buffet looks very tasty, but if you have a smaller appetite, you can order off the menu upstairs and have it delivered to your table downstairs. Your ticket includes a complimentary mimosa, but I highly recommend "upgrading" it to a "Mama Mimosa" - you won't be sorry... although you might not remember the show! Did I mention Sunday afternoons are happy hour pricing for all your other cocktails!? Bring friends, bring tip money, and be prepared to get hooked on Mama and her troop of talented performers! read more

Went for my first time with a group of coworkers last Sunday. We had a blast and the cast is absolutely amazing! I was laughing so hard I was crying, and what made it even better is that we got one of our coworkers up on stage to help with an act! You get 1 mimosa with your admission ticket, so that was pretty nice. I did not eat the brunch buffet, but for $12 you could REALLY get your moneys worth as there was a ton of food to pick from. Drinks are very reasonably priced, and their bloody marys are amazing. I can't wait to go back! read more
