This drag show is the best around- Hands down! Mimosa's Cabaret takes place in the basement of the Unicorn bar in Capital Hill. We've been to the Halloween Beetlejuice show and the Christmas spin off of the Grinch. Both were seriously hilarious, totally fun, and a great time! They have a breakfast buffet at Mimosa's cabaret, but you can also buy fair themed food upstairs and bring it down. The bars are the same menus as Unicorn, so lots of fun and fruity drinks! My tip is to bring some cash for the drag queens- if you have big bills the bar will happily break them into $1 bills too. Overall, Mimosa's Cabaret is a must!

Who knew ladies could be more fabulous than their accessories? Well, the ladies are fabulous and so are their accessories! Cabaret is located downstairs in the Unicorn and also serves as the wait area. I easily purchased my ticket online which also allows for you to purchase a ticket within your party as long as your party is registered. Parking was terrible!... typical of Capital Hill. Make sure to find parking that has long term parking to allow for time for the show. Fantastic brunch for my friend's bachelorette party and bc our party was the largest, we got seated first! All seating offers great view of the stage, although seating area is also tiny which allows for great seats and a intimate experience. I chose not to buy the brunch this trip, however I thoroughly enjoyed the mimosas which were served before and throughout the show. Loved, loved, loved the performers, and yes I have my favorites! Remember to bring some bills to tip your performers and bar/waitstaff.

Such a fun girls day out! I loved the 25 minute version of Chicago they did. We plan on going back for the Christmas show!

Mimosas Cabaret was hands down one of the best live performances I've ever been to. Every seat has a good view of the action. The performers are so charismatic, funny and just a joy to watch. I was laughing and smiling the whole time. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon activity that I'll definitely look forward to going again.

Went with a few girlfriends to celebrate an early birthday. Can't even describe what a fun filled afternoon we had. We got our tickets ahead of time and had seats front and center. Drinks were delicious. The acts were entertaining. What more could one ask for on a Sunday afternoon?

Absolutely LOVED today's Illegally Blond mini musical! All the ladies and gent ROCKED the house! Isabella, Ruby, Indeka, Vincent, & the luscious Luvell are exquisite & hilarious. Plus, there's Friendly service and yummy drinks to boot! Such a FUN and FABULOUS afternoon! FIVE stars!

The show is great and everyone (over 21) will have a good time. They mix it up the first act but second is 30 minute stripped down musical. I went with a lot of coworkers and everyone had a blast. Big groups have a code word so you all get seated together. Also bring singles and have cash. No one told me so I spent all but one dollar upstairs waiting to get in. They do a game show before Intermission that you need cash for and my group only had $21 combined by that point. The drinks are okay but that's the Unicorn for you. The mimosas were good aren't big so you will finish it before the show starts. The buffet was better than I imagined it would be. The corn dogs and French toast bread pudding were so delicious.

Come for the tits, stay for the show. And let me clarify: Mama Tits is impressive well beyond those sequin-encrusted mounds. Likely, you don't know me, but let me tell you a (not so) secret- I've been to more drag shows than I have shoes and well, Imelda's got nothing on me, hunty. So, I speak from a place of glittered expertise and I'll tell you: Mama was a gracious, funny, smart and oh-so-entertaining hostess. I'd seen her out and about but this is the first time I'd managed to see her perform and DAMN! It was amazing. The show was a mix of classic drag-synch, comedic song send ups (complete with audience on-the-stage-a-little-against-their-will participation), game show w/PRIZES, glittery prizes! and honest-to-goodness (albeit lip synced) not-too-far off Broadway theatre. If you've been to that one down the way but were all 'meh' about it, get your sweet ass down here and come to Mama! You'll have a damn lovely Sunday and have more fun than you ever did at that other show.

    Gorg queens

These queens killed it! Great banter between numbers, singing, dancing, costumes, etc. I'd come all the time if I was local.

What an AMAZING time!!!…read more First of all, I cannot believe there is (1) Review for this place. This is a MUST DO for anyone that loves the arts. This is like Cirque du Soleil but way better, because the actors/actresses interact with you. If you sit in the front row or close to the stage, like we were, you will definitely be chatting with them throughout the show. Also this is a top notch production, check-in was easy, coat check too and shortly after arriving we were shown our table. Service is what you would expect from a five star restaurant, their timing was on point. They even walk around hunched over during the show not to interrupt your viewing of the show. (Not a job for us old people). We arrived one hour early, got a seat and a few drinks and then the show started and last a fast 2.5 hours. We arrived at our tables to find a small snack, then the show, and then three breaks for soup, main entree and then dessert. The performance stops when you are eating, but the actors/actresses still roam around the dining hall. Food was really good, but overall had mixed results from our table of eight. A friend said "you don't come here for the food", but I disagree I thought everything was tasty, especially the salmon. Oh yeah, then they have a really good band, which was always changing up the tunes based on the skit! I have been here before, but its been a few years. Also, its not cheap but for the amount of money it is completely worth it. I am going to make this at least a twice a year thing from now on and a must when I have guests arriving from out of town. AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!

We were up pretty high in the second balcony, but still had a good view of the show. This is the sort of theater, where the higher up seats are closer to the "you get what you pay for" type seats than other places, we've been. This is a big enough theater that it does make a difference. Not a bad thing, just something to know. The acoustics here are lovely., And at least when a comedian is going, the sound is spot on. I will say, they've got the snacks and bar thing down. I think there were four total refreshment stations available across the number of different levels the lines moved quickly, and they had a good number of drink options, including alcohol and nonalcoholic beverages. I also appreciated the option of gummy bears! Everybody loves gummy bears! Unless you're communist. Then you probably like the sugar-free ones... Look up the review on Amazon! A wonderful theater, and one that you should check out if you have a chance.

It feels very covert, like you need to know a guy who knows a guy with a password to get in. You can also enter through the bar (I think). We initially went through the side door to get our tickets scanned in and then went in and out of the bar between acts to grab a drink. We weren't able to bring drinks into the actual theater, but not a huge deal. If anything, keeps the venue cleaner. There aren't any seats, just tiered standing platforms. Honestly, even with it being packed, I felt like we had a pretty good view of ~80% of the stage. The one thing I will say is that with everyone standing, you would think there'd be more movement/dancing. But alas, this is still Seattle and most people were bopping their heads to the music while I just wanted to swing around and feel it in my soul.

There is available street parking however it can be tricky and limited due to the narrow streets. The theater shares an entrance with a jazz bar which provides a comfortable seating area to enjoy a drink while waiting for a show. We came to see the Rocky Horror Burlesque Pastie Show and was impressed at the capacity of this small theater. Beyond the hallway, patrons are immediately welcomed to second bar and a sea of padded chairs. The theater was packed with Rocky Horror Picture fans with some proudly wearing costumes of their favorite characters. The show started a little later than advertised however we were kept entertained during the slight delay. The seats were comfortable and we had an unobstructed view of the stage. This was our first time seeing a Rocky Horror Show in burlesque and we didn't know what to expect. Audience participation was encouraged and specific names (which I will not repeat) were yelled out when either Brad or Janet took the stage. Overall, a wonderful group adventure night full of sing-a-longs, heckling, and cocktails. Drink prices and show tickets were cheap compared to other venues.

This is something you HAVE to experience at least once. It's awkward. It's raw. It's real. It's embarrassing as hell. Even if you aren't the one up there, you're gonna feel second hand embarrassment. From the second I heard about it I knew that I had to check it out for myself. Listening to people read diaries and letters from their past sounded like the best time ever. Plus they sell drinks. I can not believe this concept does not appeal to some people. Unfortunately it is hard to get into and only one day a month, with tickets only being sold a month in advance. I hear the smaller venue often sells out. I signed up for the email and liked the facebook page to make sure I would stop missing it. It may be easier to get in if you are one of the brave souls who is willing to share their most vulnerable selves, but I am much more willing to pay the 15$ to watch others suffer, although I did debate volunteering to do chairs for free admission. Many months later I finally found a day I could go and convinced a friend to join me. We ended up arriving late and while we were super close had some items blocking our view of the stage. The pictures that go along with the readings are amazing, as is the sign language interpretation. It seemed like many readers may be frequents, but there were some newbies as well. I really enjoyed the commentary that accompanied the evening. Its also reassuring to know that their is a time limit in case its not a reader whose story enthralls you.
