I found the Clown Car almost impossible to drink because it was so sweet, but honestly that should have been expected. The absinthe is also fantastic. Now to the show! I was impressed by the caliber of entertainment. The announcer brought so much energy and humor, and brought in the crowd in just the right ways. The dancers were fantastic; basically the entire 3 hours was choreographed down to each step. My favorite number was the mermaid and sailor one. The singers were also good. A lot of fun and great for an event like a birthday or bachelorette.

I haven't been to the Triple Door in several years, but went a couple of weeks ago for a Burlesque…read moreshow. The environment has a boho vibe, with an understated classiness to it. The seating is arranged so there are really no "bad" seats to see a show. When we arrived, we were seated right away and the staff were very friendly and inviting. We decided to order drinks and food for the show and we went with Chicken Potstickers, Thai Bean Salad, Cabbage Salad, Seasoned Fries and Malay Chicken Satay. All were very good, and flavorful without being too spicy. We especially liked the Greet Bean salad - we'd never tried beans Thai style before ad they were delicious. I will say, for the price, the drinks were a bit small, but outside of that, this was a great evening with good service and food. I will make sure not to wait so long to visit again. From the incredible show and hilarious jokes to the gorgeous queens, the entire experience was so much fun. When I came back to Seattle, I knew I had to bring my wife -- and somehow the second time was even more memorable! The icing on the cake? I GOT CALLED UP ON STAGE TO TWERK AND DANCE IN A HIPPO BLOW-UP COSTUME. Honestly, an experience I never knew I needed, but I will never forget it! The food was great, the drinks were great, the queens were fabulous, and the atmosphere was so fun and welcoming. Whether you're going for a special occasion, a night out with friends, or just want to do something totally different, Le Faux is absolutely worth the experience. 10/10 would go again -- and knowing me, I probably will!

One of the funniest and most unique parts of the experience was seeing so many people walking around wearing the signature "dickhead" hats it definitely added to the playful atmosphere. The bartenders were kind and efficient. They weren't very chatty, but they made the drinks quickly and kept things moving. Overall, I'd recommend coming at least once for the experience. It's unlike your typical bar and is worth visiting just for the fun, over-the-top atmosphere.

The cabaret acts were much too short and too few and still they had Kat singing the whole time which would have been fine if they attempted to cohesively integrate it or pick songs that made sense with what was happening. If you were thinking about going... don't. One of the worst things I've seen in a while.

Told us she needed the email and well as the ID to use us the verified purchase when I had the copy of the email (shows us the verified purchase). After 20 minutes of dealing and not getting anywhere this security guy tells us that Molly (ticket checker and usher) she was able to help since the show was starting. She took th lead and handed us a card and said have a great show! This angel came out of no where and gave us 6th row seats to the Notebook! I hope this karma comes back to Molly ten folds! My mother walked in and gave a few workers $10 Starbucks gift card she always keeps in her purse. The night was a success and we both had an amazing evening thanks to her :) keep this prized employee around bc I will be come back for futures shows and hope to see her darling face again soon!

Just got back from an absolutely traumatizing performance of "A Chorus Line" at the 5th Avenue…read moreTheatre, on this, the theatre's 100 years of operation. To say it was dreadful, boring, and unpleasant would be to praise what I was subjected to. I'd thought "Jesus Christ Superstar" had been an aberration, but no, it carries forward into the new season. It wasn't a positive that I decided to go to a weekday matinee which is apparently favored by the white-haired crowd; no disrespect to them, but it didn't help that the theater allowed everyone in and made them wait in the lobby (as in crowded, mob) without opening the theater doors until about 15 minutes before the performance...someone needs to think this through. The wheelchair bound and walker assisted were then let in first, making everyone wait longer and then dash to their seats before showtime; however, this was not a problem since the show started quite late, and even later because all the different entities had to stand up front and wax aplenty about their roles in the thratre/production. I should have suspected something like this would happen once they announced their new partnership with STG...the first thing that happened was that purchasing tickets became a problem...the second is the annoying availability of tickets only minutes prior to the performance via changing QR codes...the third was that Customer Service which had been quite good disappeared. But the real travesty has been the choice and quality of the shows. Not only are there fewer of them per season, but they are now "locally produced", whatever that means. The only way I can describe it is that it's the same junk that STG's other theaters churn out. Used to be, the choice of shows was unique, now it's all a regurgitation of old Broadway material, and not even masterfully done. The acting is atrocious, the singing subpar, the talent...well, to say it has evaporated would be an understatement. Still in shock, I just looked online to find that they have undergone significant budget cuts...and it shows! A Chorus Line was an absolute snooze; the substitute cast (I assume due to it being a matinee) was a joke, and the entire production was more like something one would see in a high school than in one of this city's prime theaters. Not sure how seniors managed to sit through two hours with no intermission. Very depressing, particularly compared to what it was not so long ago. I have one more set of tickets, and then I'm done, and I might try to dump these first.

Ernesto is a miracle worker. We started off just taking a trial dance class. We'd originally…read morefigured we'd do a subtle sway for our song. Within that trial, Ernesto was able to show us a vision of our dance, and made us realize we could actually learn the skills needed to do something excellent. We had so much fun with our classes - Ernesto is fun, creative, patient, and thorough. The poor guy had to listen to our first dance song ad nauseam without a complaint! He was able to take two very basic dancers and pull together a fabulous and doable choreography- and we surprised all our guests at the wedding, including our parents and close friends. Definitely worth it - not only did it have purpose, but we had fun: it turned into feeling like a date vs another wedding task.

I took a beginning belly dance class with Delilah. It actually was not my first class in belly…read moredance, which is probably good, since I think I would have a hard time keeping up if it was. Delilah is obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about belly dance. So passionate, in fact, that she often forgets that there are new comers and she just dances and doesn't always catch when people are struggling. When you do interrupt her trance-like state of dancing and ask her how the heck she's moving like that, she will give you a phenomenal explanation. I've taken belly dance with 3 or 4 different teachers now and NO ONE has been able to properly explain shimmies the way she has. The space is really cool. I like the Persian rugs all over the floor. They keep your feet from hurting. Much nicer than doing it in a community center on a hard gym floor. I was a little put off my how often Delilah was late to our class. Once, she was almost 20 minutes late. She'll make up for it by giving you more time at the end. But still, it's no fun standing around outside the studio waiting for her. The time she was 20 minutes late, she also seemed very frazzled when she got there, like she just woke up from a nap. And in the process of teaching us some moves, she flashed us her cooch. That was kind of entertaining, actually. It was pretty amazing how great of a dancer she is, even in a half-awake state.
