My husband took me here for my birthday, and I absolutely loved it! The food was SO good probably one of the best Italian places in Franklin. We loved everything we ordered, and my husband's favorite was the Toasted Ravioli! The restaurant is super cute, cozy, and has such a nice atmosphere. Our waitress was also very sweet and friendly. The only tricky part was parking since there aren't many spots, so we ended up parking nearby by the Mexican restaurant. My spouse and I chose this restaurant for a date night based on its positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi and the 4oz filet. After taking a couple of bites of the filet, I realized something was very wrong. Not only was it undercooked, but it also smelled spoiled. The odor was so strong that I became nauseated. To confirm my concerns, I asked our server to smell a piece that had been cut onto a separate plate. He did and immediately agreed that something was not right, even stating that the dish should never have left the kitchen. I want to give credit where it's due--the server was kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic throughout the entire situation. He removed the filet from our bill and offered complimentary dessert. When I declined a replacement meal, he encouraged me to order something else and he would have it boxed to go. I ended up ordering alfredo fettuccini noodles. What was frustrating was that I was still charged $27 for the replacement pasta. Considering my original meal was inedible due to a serious kitchen error, I was surprised to see that charge remain on the bill. By that point, I was exhausted by the experience and simply paid so we could leave. The server handled the situation as well as he could. My concern is with the kitchen and the lack of quality control that allowed spoiled meat to be served to a customer. I wish I had asked to speak with a manager before leaving. The seating arrangement is very close quarters to the patrons next to you and I did not want to appear like I was causing a scene or demanding a free meal. In hindsight, I should have made management aware of what had happened to help ensure that no other customer was served food in that condition. Iozzo's is so inviting. A small, quaint Italian restaurant situated in downtown Franklin. Pleasantly decorated, quiet atmosphere, welcoming staff. I had an amazing cesar salad & the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and it was delicious but needed a little spice and they brought me out this "Diablo" sauce that made it the full 10/10. I will definitely be back ! Service was alright. We had a sarcastic,funny fellow and I think it offended the couple diagonal from us, but he was also very sweet. It could get a little noisy but it was overwhelming. Only thing they could do to make it better is more room at the front for waiting. It can get a little stuffy while you wait to be seated. Stopped for lunch on our way home from Edinburgh and really enjoyed the visit. The atmosphere was upscale but cozy and the service was super friendly. I enjoyed the gem salad and it was the perfect size for a light lunch. My son tried the lasagna (added meatballs) and it was fantastic! The sauces were delicious and he also really liked the house salad. The bread was amazing- we refused more even though it was offered because we knew we'd eat too much - however after trying the Alfredo I did wish I had some for dipping! Dessert was a tiramisu cheesecake (most of which came home). Definitely more on the tiramisu vs cheesecake side, but absolutely yummy. Great spot! read more

First time trying this place. Had great reviews. It wasn't as quiet and intiment as I had hoped but the service and food more then made up for it our waitress was great. Took time to explain menu, attentive, and took time to just talk with us not feeling rushed. The food was great. I had the rigatoni alls vodka with the spicier Diablo sauce and it was just right. Wow this food is good! I have tried several different items, all were excellent. My favourite is the rigatoni with the meatball appetizer a close second. They do have a lunch menu and the meatball sub is terrific. From a drink perspective I like the Strawberry limoncello. Definitely will be coming back. read more

So happy they opened Iozzos in Franklin! We've been going to the original restaurant in Indy since moving here and their food is fantastic. From the appetizers, dinner bread, house salad (which i could go there and just have that), to the various pasta entrees like the spicy rigatoni its all great. Xuening had the Sausage and Peppers (rigatoni, mild italian sausage, red and yellow pepper, red onion, Iozzo sauce, alfredo mozzarella, provolone, oven baked) with a house salad and I had the Cheese Ravioli in Bolognese sauce with a Caprese salad (heirloom grape tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil oil, balsamic glaze, micro basil). We had been wanting to try this new location of Iozzo's in Franklin and are glad we did. There is a small parking lot in the rear of the restaurant and limited street parking. I would recommend you make reservations as they were very busy already at 4:00 on a Sundays afternoon. The interior is somewhat similar to the Indianapolis location including the brick wall and family photos along the walls. The service was friendly and helpful with menu questions and the food was delicious. I had an Italian margarita and the lasagna and would order both again. The focaccia bread was fresh and warm and came with their famous soppy tomato dip. We had cannolis for dessert. They were so good and freshly filled. A group of six of us went to Iozzo's in Franklin Indiana. It was a very small restaurant that was pretty fancy. We have been there twice. Both times the service was fantastic. Our favorite waitress is Chevy. If you get her you're very lucky. the wife and I split the Gancho's and had a house salad. The kitchen split the salad and our main dinner, I'm telling you it was fantastic. Another couple split the grouper and it filled both of them up. they said it tasted delicious. The other couple had the steak which was delicious. the spouse had the eggplant Parmesan, which unfortunately was not cooked to her liking. It was called it to their attention and they quickly corrected the issue. There was enough food that they just removed it off their bill. They have complementary bread with delicious dipping sauce. It's extremely hard to get reservations for more than four people so I would recommend making your reservations early. I would highly recommend this place and definitely go back again. read more

We really enjoyed the atmosphere with exposed brick walls, wood floors and coziness of the dining area. The staff also enhanced our visit. From the welcome at the hostess stand to our server who was friendly and checked in on us frequently, and, especially, Tristan, who was very attentive filling our waters and assisting with requests. We skipped appetizers to keep our appetite for the entrees. All the dishes we chose were appealingly plated, flavorful and plentiful. I had the shrimp scampi served over linguini in a perfectly balanced lemon, butter sauce with a slight heat from red pepper flakes. It was delicious however the shrimp were slightly over cooked making them dry. My sister had the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp served in a garlic, parmesan sauce that is one of the best she's had however, again, the shrimp were overcooked. My mother enjoyed the ricotta gnocchi with 4oz filet and it was delicious. We all tasted the gnocchi and deemed it the best we've eaten. My husband ordered the chicken piccata and it did not disappoint. Two large pieces of lightly breaded chicken breast browned for a nice crust served over capellini with a flavorful lemon caper butter sauce. He was pleased with the generous amount of capers. He did say he'd order it again however with linguini or spaghetti. For the finale, we had a scoop of spumoni and the Main & Madison brownie with a scoop of vanilla. The spumoni was rich and creamy and the brownie was tasty. We will definitely return to try out the bar and order some appetizers as well as dinner. read more

Whether you're enjoying a drink at the bar where the cocktails are outstanding and the staff is both friendly and knowledgeable or sitting down for a full meal, it's a first-class experience. The appetizers were served and the bread for the table was brought out so much later that we didn't think they did that. Honestly, they could have kept it as it was tough and had no flavor. The spaghetti was watery. The ravioli had crunchy edges and was lukewarm. We mentioned this to the waitress whose only comment was I'll talk to the kitchen. The same plate was brought back to the table and had simply been microwaved. The initial crunchy edges indicates it was already microwaved once. They ended up removing it from the bill but the manager's attitude was as bad as the ravioli. For the price of the food, I was very disappointed. The restaurant only has a few tables and they are so close together I was sharing the table with the people next to us. read more

Had the pleasure of visiting Iozzo's for the first time ever this evening with a close group of 6. The ambiance was very warm and welcoming. Jeremy was our server and was top notch with his recommendations and genuine friendliness throughout the evening. The food was nothing short of incredibly delicious! We started off with a new special drink they had with sorbet as well as a strawberry cello martini, and a Jefferson bourbon drink. There was nothing we had that was even close to average. For appetizers, we had the crab cakes, portobello mushrooms, and garlic bread, on top of the complimentary bread and sauce to dip it in. The salads were great as well - caprese, Caesar, spinach, and the Southside salad. The the entrees were the filet, lasagna, fettuccini, Ricotta Gnocchi, and yellow tail fish - all of which were superb! We also had a side of mashed potatoes that were perfect! We then ordered the creme brulee and tiramisu cheesecake for dessert which again, were phenomenal! We will definitely be back again after such a wonderful experience! read more

First, they do not have private parking so you'll need to prepare ahead of your visit to find parking. There is a large step up into the building, not handicapped accessible and not sure if there is a back entrance in to accommodate that or not. The dining area is packed for seating. If you are seated on the left side of the room you better get used to sharing space with strangers because its a large bench and everyone shares it. Also, because the seating is so close and the room so small it's loud! Now, the service was excellent!! The food was excellent! I had lasagna and my husband had beef tip ragu, there was plenty to take home. Reservations are highly recommended because seating is very limited. read more
