Margharita pizza

First time trying Richard's Brick Oven Pizza - they are right next to my office but only open for the dinner hour, so I usually am not able to go. I enjoyed the style of pizza from the brick oven, but felt like the serving size was much too small for the price. It's a thin crust pizza with very fresh ingredients and had a great flavor but for almost $11, the serving size needs to be bigger. You can get almost the same size for several dollars less at other nearby pizza places and the quality is comparable.

Garlic pinwheels - cinnamon roll meets cheesy breadsticks.

Yeah, this place is worth the hype. Tucked right off downtown, this little place really packs a punch. Our first visit was a crowded Saturday night - about a 45 minute wait, but we entertained the kids walking around in front of the restaurant. The hostess mentioned that we could get a drink at the bar while we waited if desired, but with the kiddos we opted out of that. The namesake brick oven is the focal point of the indoor dining area, so you get to watch your food get prepared, which is pretty cool. Where we were sitting on the other side of the room, I could still feel the heat when someone walked in front of the opening. There are a few suggested combinations for pizza, but be prepared to make your own with the toppings provided. We went for Alfredo sauce for the base (my wife is picky on her red sauce) with chicken, pepperoni, and spinach - a fantastic combination in my opinion. Garlic pinwheels were also delicious - think a big cinnamon roll, but made out of a breadstick and lined with cheese instead of cinnamon, dipped in marinara. Fantastic. Really neat little local place that absolutely is worth a visit if you're in town. Great experience all around.

We've been to Richard's before, so this time I decided to have pasta instead of pizza. It was awesome and was glad I was able to add whatever I wanted. I added artichoke hearts and mushroom! My husband had a pizza with numerous meat options that looked and tasted great! Hanna gave us GREAT customer service, she gave well thought out suggestions and had a positive attitude! One suggestion, if you and your dinner guest drink the same beer.....get a pitcher! We plan on doing just that when we go back! Ask for Hanna, you won't be disappointed!!

We came here for my dads birthday and we had a group of 5. We got sat right away. We were sat next to a beautiful hanging wine rack and it was awesome seeing the pizzas made right in front of you in their brick oven. We got an order of the cheesy bread for the table. I got the cheese tortellini with spinach and chicken and it was delicious. I shared it with my mom and it was plenty for the both of us. My dad and sister in law got a pizza and loved it. My brother ordered a calzone and raved about it as well. They have beer and wine for your drinking needs. We will be back!

Food was outstanding. Best pizza I've ever eaten. Service wasn't great nor terrible. I would recommend this place to anyone. Got 2 deserts to try. Would definitely recommend the lemon cake. The s'mores pizza was pretty much as you'd expect. Some dough, chocolate chips mini marshmallows and some crushed up graham crackers. Really rich stuff. Probably more so suited for a group of kids imo. (It's the same size as the pizzas) but overall I was very pleased with this place.

Pizza is the best and we love coming here. Tuesday night is open mic night and always a lot of fun. Small so finding seats can be hard.

La Trattoria is the only place in like a 25 mile radius (that I know of) that you can get mushroom ravioli. That's what I was going for. I brought my DH and DM along for the ride. Hubby got the filet with veggies and MIL got the baked lasagna. The salads come out first and while the lettuce was fresh tasting, it was just lettuce, what tasted like bagged cheese, croutons, and dressing. For the price of the meal I expected more. Hubby liked his steak and said it was cooked just about perfectly. MIL barely had any meat in her lasagna. The cheese was overflowing but almost no meet. My mushroom ravioli was adequate but the ground up mushroom stuffed inside a thick ravioli was not enough to fully satisfy my craving. I finished with a cannoli but it came out covered in Hershey syrup. It was okay after I wiped what I could of the chocolate off. The bill for 3 people came out to $128 and for me, it was no where near worth that. The food is just mediocre.

My husband and I had the spaghetti dinners and he added a side of meatballs. I ordered a stuffed mushroom as an appetizer and it was one big Portobello cap and it seemed to be stuffed mostly with ricotta. I wasn't a big fan of it it was okay. She also brought us a basket of bread with some dipping oil and herbs. A salad came with our spaghetti dinner, it was just regular iceberg lettuce and a few croutons and cheese. Our spaghetti came out it was nice and hot and we enjoyed it but it was nothing special. I also had a cocktail which was a triple chocolate truffle and yes it was very chocolatey. Everything was fine here but probably not some place we would go back to.

They have a few parking spots in the front, all of which are handicap spots. They have a decent amount of parking spots in the back. There is a decent sized dining area that is decorated like it is the 1960 with old school memorabilia and Coca-Cola stuff. If you are dining in you must place your order at the counter first. I decided to dine in. There are two counters, one on each side of the restaurant, only one was open during my visit. I guess that is where they get the "twin" in its name. The restaurant serves salads, pizza, burgers, spaghetti and other Italian entrees. I got the lasagna, which came with bread and a salad or you could substitute the salad for extra bread. They did not have fries. But they did have potato wedges, which is what I got to complete my meal. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food and they brought it to my table. It was fresh and hot. The lasagna was small and tasted ok. I have had better, and I have had worse. The potato wedges were pretty good. They do not come with catsup though. You have to request it. All in all, this is a neat little mom and pop diner. It really takes you back. I think that it does miss the mark on table service though. I am glad to see that they got with the times and do now accept credit cards, as a few years ago they did not. I always love supporting local.

We arrived a few minutes before they opened but they were quick to welcome us and get us started on the options. Once you enter there is a counter where you order with a menu on the wall as well as a board with lunch specials. I got the spaghetti with marinara which also came with a substantial salad and garlic bread sticks. There are several rooms for seating with both booths as well as tables. The decor is very fun and festive and definitely Coke oriented! We weren't seated too long before our meals were brought to the table, and things were hot and fresh and smelled wonderful. My spaghetti was an ample portion with a lot of sauce which I mopped up with the tasty bread. The rest of the party are their food with gusto so I'm assuming they liked it. It is a fun spot for a quick lunch or dinner and they had lots of options for hot sandwiches or cooked food.

Online it says happy hour is all day Sunday and Monday-Saturday from 8-9pm. When we asked our waitress about it she said the website must be incorrect, even though it was listed on the Pizza and Libations website as all day happy hour on Sunday's. We ordered mozzarella sticks and a Spritz. I also ordered 2 beer samples to try before committing to a full sized beer pour. The spritz tasted watered down and had little to no flavor. Our mozzarella sticks came out in about 15 minutes. We received our mozzarella sticks before our drinks from the bar. After receiving our appetizer, we were still waiting on our drinks we ordered and had been waiting more than 30 minutes. There were multiple tables around us checking on their drinks and food because the wait was so long even though the restaurant wasn't even halfway full. There were only about 6 people sitting at the bar. Our mozzarella sticks were fresh and the hot honey drizzle was a good addition! They were pretty thick mozzarella sticks but reminded me of a higher end Arby's mozzarella stick. We ended up getting our check after my husband finally got his drink more than 30 minutes after ordering it. All in all, service was slow and the menus were not updated with correct pricing or specials. One menu stated a Coors Light was $6 while another said it was $7. Maybe it was an off night for them. The pizza looked very good and I would like to go back to give it another shot.
