They were professional and friendly every step of the way, from stopping in at their Kent location to look at the slabs all the way through the installation. The templating process was a breeze and Wesley Jr. was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He caught and corrected a few things right away, like that our choice of sink wouldn't fit in the cabinet. The measurements were perfect and everything fit better than the old countertops come install day. There's a seam somewhere in the countertops but we can't even find it - the layout was that thoughtful! The actual installation was as smooth as we could have hoped for and took a few hours. The process is smelly because of the glue, which we were warned about before the installation started so it's all good. Once it was done the smell went away quite quickly. Overall we're extremely pleased with the process and outcome. The countertops are gorgeous and everything was on-time, professional, and without any extra headache or drama. I am a retired contractor and have installed many granite countertops - except all of it was in SoCal. Visiting my son in WA, his neighbor asked if I could help her select and have granite installed. Naturally I went through the bid process and presented accurate measurements plus requirements. InTown was BY FAR the least expensive. Taking a leap of faith, I contracted with them. These guys were more than awesome. I was referred to Intown Granite by my parents who had completed their custom new build two years ago and had all their countertops done by them. Went in on a Tuesday, an hour and a half before close, and was able to select the exact granite slab I wanted for an incredibly reasonable price (Intown Granite charges by the square foot instead of by the slab, meaning you as the customer are not having to buy two slabs for a job that's only a slab and change). But what really shocked me was how damn FAST they were able to get me in. I put down the 60% deposit on Tuesday night with Ivo, they came to my new home on Wednesday for measurements, and by Monday (2/28), my countertops were installed. Everyone I've been in contact with is incredibly kind, responsive, and goes out of their way to assist you -- even when you're as inexperienced with home remodel as myself. Because mis-matched granite was installed in my kitchen I can't express my dissatisfaction strong enough. The backsplash does not match the counter in another area. The seam directly thru the center of the kitchen sink is rough and poorly joined. I spent my good money with in-town replacing all counter tops bathrooms and kitchen including the purchase of all sinks thru them at my home in Maple Valley. Their installers did a great job, even coming back to regrind the countertop to enable a better fit with an oversized stove. We received a quote; I asked A LOT of questions. They all had close pricing, so I cannot say this was the best, even with the sales they had. I spoke to Gabriel initially for the estimate, questions, etc. More times than not, he was friendly & helpful. Then came time to pay 60%. Where did all that friendliness go? Oh yeah, get $ & get nothing afterwards. 1 star down. We paid, so I asked for receipt, but 4 some odd reason their site says print receipt & blank screen below their logo. Glitch? Perhaps. Someone sent one via email. I was told an estimator person will measure to confirm & they'll be in touch. No further info. Our project began in April, paid the 14th, called & emailed for a week to find out when that estimator/measurer would come out. That eventually got scheduled. Again, to this point no text, email or call about what comes next. This was our 1st kitchen upgrade. Nice guy arrived, slightly miffed at us for not having the counters free of items. He said instructions were sent. Nope, 2nd star gone, never told about anything on "to do" list. I grabbed my spouse for help & asked him for 5 minutes as he setup. I apologized, he seemed ok & began measuring. He said it would be less than my estimate after 20minutes due to some shortening & size of new countertops. Sweet, right? Well, he gave us the printout & said they'd call. I was so excited, but the call never came. As a matter of fact, I called, emailed & kept being told they were busy. Finally a few emails back & forth to set up a date for install. DO NOT believe the website when they say from pay to estimate is about 7days. We didn't get our countertops for kitchen installed till May 10th. That was because I had to initiate every conversation after we paid that deposit. Hindsight, had I known the hassle, I would've paid $16 more for the other guy who was faster but less reviews. I went by initial reputation of this company & have a new house we're buying soon; intended to use the same company, but we'll use that guy instead. After scheduling, our estimate on paper, didn't match what was said. We found out that the sink cut out was just that, no sink at all. We said we'd use our own, but because it was a dropin, it would cost $150 extra from that estimate, so he wrote another one. Ok. So, price change. Then we were told it would be cheaper from 65sqft to 60 sqft, 3 brackets but 1 free of charge. OK, well I tried calling for that final price change. I spoke to Ted & got a friendly answer back, but when my hubby wanted me to ask further questions from the estimate, we got attitude back. "Price is final, see the last line!" Then did the all caps in some parts of replies. Ha. What are we 10yo? I began reading the reviews again with anxiety that my countertops would never arrive. Then May10th came. The reviews by others had us worried. I left my hubby there as he's construction owner, so could help if needed. We got instructions this time by estimator who came. Remove everything on, around & give enough space from entry to kitchen as stone is heavy. Got it. Water off, sink removed, stove pulled out. PS: your backsplash will get damaged from the tear out. No joke, it was. I have to remove everything & replace, so it that will be a problem for you, don't do it. At least we're moving. Time consuming, more $, but fine. The installers were AWESOME! I'd give 20 stars to these guys who came at 1137am, began tear out & by 1214pm they were cleaning up the old counters & vacuuming. Then the 2 small pieces were brought in & installed, followed by the biggest of 2 connecting pieces (C shape countertops) they connected them in the middle of the sink for least amount of seam. Brilliantly done by stone cutters fabrication team. Kudos. I've seen some countertops that are horrible. So, 1235pm that was in and 1pm the other large piece in. That's when the main guy move, adjusted, tweaked, & kept meticulously working till it was perfect. At 122pm it was in the sealing process. (PS: If you wanna know I have motion sensors cams in all main room for sitters and kids, so I could see). These guys measured, checked several times and minus a couple tiny chips on the edges near the stove and one on the edge, I think it wasn't their fault but either transport or fitting range back into spot may have caused it. IDK. The guys worked so hard. I told my hubby to tip them. Always tip contractors or delivery folks, they work so hard. The guys were reluctant, but my hubby said "I work in contruction too, I know." The guy said something like he was grateful and said he rarely receives tips. Then they went back to work to finish up. Man, they wiped those counters till sparkling, swept up, vacuumed everything and even waited for my hubby to see if the sink fit (perfect) and offered to stay to seal it. In the end, I'd say the sales team needs to work on communication, timing & stuff with other depts. I think being in tune with customers, being clear, & explaining helps. read more

Just got done with the granite countertop install and it went off pretty much without a hitch. We went out to their store to pick out a slab. I think this is a much better approach than buying off a small sample piece. Next we got a quote based on a drawing I provided. They have an online deal where you can get 50 square feet or less for $2,500 including a stainless steel kitchen sink. To put this in perspective, granite guys closest to us (they're located in Woodinville) wanted $6,500 for the same work with the same stone. I talked to a realtor who said the best deals were in Kent, but the two shops I contacted in Kent wanted roughly $5,000. And the sink would be extra. To be fair, I sort of had to 'remind' the InTown guys that they had an Internet sale price but their original number of $3,000 would still have been way better than the competition. Once we made a downpayment and called them to schedule, their template guy came out within a week as promised, and their installers were actually early. We were scheduled for a Wednesday, but Jonathan from InTown called on Monday to move the install time up to 11:00 on Tuesday. The guys arrived at 9:30 and I was out walking the dog but they called me and we got it all figured out. I was sort of annoyed that they left the front door open continuously (were you born in a barn?) and my dog got loose before I realized what happened. After about 10 minutes of driving around the neighborhood I got her rounded back up. The install went better than I expected, and we had only one well-hidden seam rather than the two seams I was expecting to have. read more

Worst experiance and extremely rude. They made a small mistake and granite did not cover tub deck far enough for tub to sit on top of granite. Installers kept insisting it would fit but since I could still see my pencil line of the outside edge of the tub on the plywood the only way would to have tried cheating the tub that direction but being a corner tub now your changing distance from one wall but not the other etc. Bottom line was it wasn't right. They ripped it all out because they said there wasn't enough slab left to cut another piece, that I would have to repack another slab of granite. Called today and they told me they didn't want to do the work for me because the installers said the tub would fit. Photo included Salesman Jonathon would not give me owners info so I could at least see if this absolute joke of running a business was known to him. But no just want to refund me and not make it right. I would not recommend them. Also found out that ubba tuba the granite I chose is not classified category 1 but that's what they charged me for. read more

I was a bit nervous about using Intown given the mixed reviews, but in the end I'm super happy with my choice to use Intown. First off the selection is pretty good. Way better than the prefab selection at the cabinet stores. In stock options aren't quite as good as some fabricators but still an ample selection. Pricing is very straightforward for the in stock product - class A, B, C, and D each has a clear price so you can make easy decisions. So for example we liked a C and D class product, we chose the quartzite C class to save $600. This was nice compared to other fabricators where you had to ask the salesperson for each slab. I of course got 3 quotes from fabricators. One fabricator quote for the kitchen was about the same as Intown for the kitchen and two bathrooms. Costco (which I thought would be reasonable) was literally 2.5 times the price. Generally I'd toss out the insanely low bid but decided to trust the good reviews. Service was very professional - friendly, good communication about scheduling, on time for measure and install. Install went without a hitch and everything looks amazing. On the downside they didn't drill pilot holes which left cracks in some of the sink supports and the dishwasher bracket. None of it is obviously visible but disappointing. Other than that bring a check if you want to avoid the CC fee. The adhesives are a bit smelly so open a window, it will dissipate in a few hours. On the whole they make the process very easy and quick. read more

Wow!! About 2 1/2 weeks ago we started the process of getting granite installed with InTown. The showroom had a fantastic selection and very friendly customer service. The pricing beat Lowe's and Home Depot's quotes by hundreds, but not only that, you were able to get the job done in two weeks, whereas Lowe's and Home Depot needed 6-8 weeks. The follow up visits for template and install were fantastic as well. The crew was so friendly and professional, explaining everything and helping us with any questions we had. The crew that installed the counters were two brothers (Marcos and I'm sorry I can't remember the brothers name). They worked late to get the job done. They did beautiful work. The install was perfect without a single flaw to be found. They were clean and straightened up after themselves when the job was done. The end product is absolutely stunning natural granite counters that really changed the look of our kitchen. Thank you so much for an incredible all around experience. ***** STAY AWAY****** I don't normally have such negative interaction with a company sending its representatives into my home that it causes me to leave a YELP review but here we are. The initial interaction in the office and with the sales team was great. It wasn't until the TEMPLATER arrived that it all fell apart. What a condescending arrogant dude. I had never had quartz countertops installed and he treated me like the questions I was asking were stupid and appeared annoyed when I requested things he felt couldn't be done. Not just a simple explanation but everything from him came with an attitude. The interaction was so awkward and unprofessional I ended up having to kick him out of my house. My sales rep called eventually and apologized and offered to install my full height backsplash for cost only to make up for it. I agreed and after multiple scheduling errors on their part I finally had another templater appointment set. GUESS WHO SHOWS UP? Yep they sent the same guy back. I originally told him no thank you and then reconsidered because I believe in second chances and needed to get the work done. I walked out to his truck before he left and said I apologize for sending him away and would like to give him a second chance. His attitude immediately returned and he said "look man no other templater is coming so do you want the measurements or not". I said no thanks and told him to leave. I called the company back to follow up and was met with another attitude. Instead of taking the customers viewpoint of the service they said "well it's your word against his ! How did the countertops turn out"! They still owe me a full height backsplash and now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to match this Quartz. We worked with Intown to remove and install countertops in our kitchen and are thrilled with the experience and the results. The sales associate was helpful, inquiring on our behalf on additional pieces of stone to fit our needs. We ended up ordering fantasy brown marble/quartzite/granite. The sales associate answered all of our questions about the materials and explained the stones risks/benefits. We visited several stone suppliers in the area and after hours of walking through warehouses we ended up going with Intown for their service and because we knew the pricing of the material and install upfront (the pricing, for what was in stock, was highly competitive if not better that what we found elsewhere). We had to demo, measure and install on different days and the scheduling of each part was seamless. We had text reminders w/ ETAs and they scheduled the 3 days as close as possible to minimize our down time without a kitchen. The same crew did demo and install which was nice because they were familiar with the space (and our dog). The measurement team was explained our options thoroughly for corners and edges and ensured we were aligned on every element of the installation. The install/demo crew was professional. I watched apprehensively during the demo (we kept our cabinets and I had my fingers crossed they wouldn't break them). They were careful and cautious. Took their time pulling each piece of granite away and cleaned up meticulously afterwards. I felt like they would have treated their homes as well as they treated mine. The install was just as seamless. They worked diligently all day and completed on time, caulking edges, shining the stone and cleaning up all of the dust and debris before they left. After install, I did notice a small scratched (unpolished) piece of the stone. I called the sales associate and he had the team out within 3 days to repolish the piece and everything is shiny and new. I would recommend Intown hands down for your countertop needs. read more

We would never go thru Intown Granite again. One of our worst experiences and we have remodeled homes several times. We had our very large kitchen countertops all done with granite and all the edges on the corners and ends were done 2 different ways instead of the 1 way we contracted for. My husband did not notice right away and signed off and paid but as soon as I got home that same evening, I noticed and emailed and called. Instead of agreeing to fix their mistake, I was belittled and yelled at by their manager Leo and told that my little check was nothing compared to all their commercial business and that the contractor that referred Intown to us has only done 3 deals with them, and thats nothing to them. They would not agree to do anything to fix the issue. Never again, lesson learned!! read more

The installation team was a nightmare. Broke our medicine cabinet mirror and instead of unscrewing the towel bar, they pulled it out of the wall leaving big holes. After several hours of trying to hook up the faucet, we called the plumber and he said the quartz installation was the worst he had ever seen. Holes were drilled in the wrong place making it impossible to get the faucet in. We had to call Intown and cancel our final check with the bank before they would come out and fix it. We have found chips on some edges and the surface polish is not even. Horrible. If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more
