We've been going to this ACE for years. The employees are always super nice, though sometimes they…read moredon't have something we're looking for. But we always try them before going to a big box store. This past weekend we needed to rent a carpet cleaner and just had the BEST experience with the lady working at the front. She was just super nice and made sure the unit was clean. When we returned it she asked how everything went and made sure we were happy. When we were walking out my husband turned to me and said "and that's why I'll always come here first."

Got lots of help and was checked out in the garden seciton by Michelle.. she was so nice, kind, helpful and pleasant. Loved her! I was given a piece of paper to rate her on her service, but it wanted me to scan athe QR code.. sorry I dont have a smart phone, and my desk top computer wont scan one. Everyone in uniform or talking in crowds in red vests either wasn't working that day or not in the…read moreclock or was too busy on their phones 6 people in uniform walked past me at self checkout and none of them could help me then the one lady that did help me with my issue messed up her code on the machine and then out loud said "oh well" and walked away. I asked one of the 6 people heading to the break room if they could help me with my issue and they either ignored me or said they can't and shrugged and continued on their way.

We had actually stopped at the Lowe's in Tukwila first, but I was surprised to find their shelves so empty--they were completely out of stock. Coming here was the right move! The store was clean, well-organized, and had exactly what we needed. I also felt that the prices here are generally more affordable compared to Lowe's. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, with staff members greeting us as we walked around. Even at the self-checkout, the attendant was very kind and helpful. Overall, a very satisfying shopping trip!

This Home Depot likes to leave up signs that tell you you're going to get a good deal if you buy something from there, so you go there to buy it instead of anywhere else, even though it is out of your way because you're getting a $130 item free with purchase. You get your items and go to the register just to find out that in fact that deal is expired and so instead of giving you the $130 battery, they take $20 off, which doesn't even cover the cost of the tax! What a ripoff... Do yourself a favor and go to a different store if you need a tool and they say it's on sale, because it's likely not going to be true...

I waited for 60 minutes to talk with a manager who finally made things right but I lost a hour of time. My hour was worth more than the $50.

When I was struggling to mount a shelf, I got advice from one of the employees who was super friendly and explained to me exactly how to screw in the L brackets I was struggling with. He walked me over to the aisle and showed me exactly which screws would and wouldn't work for my project and explained to me how the screws would interact with different wall materials. Most recently I dropped by just before they closed to pick up drywall paste and a pallette knife. Despite me walking in ten minutes before they were supposed to shut, they didn't make me feel rushed at all and helped me find what I was looking for. I always prefer supporting a local business and I love having a neighbourhood hardware supply store I can count on with employees who feel kinda like family.
