Absolutely the worst contractor I've ever dealt with. Unorganized, unresponsive, and dishonest. I hired them to build a simple 10x20x5 rectangular pool. What should've been a straightforward project dragged on for nearly two years due to their total lack of planning and professionalism. They never provided a comprehensive project plan or timeline, despite repeated requests. It was clear from the beginning that they were winging it and had no real coordination with their subcontractors. Progress was wildly inconsistent. Permits took almost a year because they outsourced to a single permit expediter who -- according to the city -- "never had his stuff together." One time I planned a visit to their office to pick out tiling and other features and they completely stood us up Construction delays were constant. There would be days, sometimes weeks, with no activity. I had to follow up every Monday just to ask if anyone would show up. Half the time I wouldn't even get a response. Less frequently anyone would actually show up. But the worst part: Four months after the project was done I was served with a mechanic's lien on my property -- because these bums are refusing to pay one of their subcontractors and pocketing my money instead. Since then, they've dodged my calls and texts, made empty promises to resolve it, and offered excuse after excuse -- but no payment. Now I'm stuck dealing with the fallout and likely taking them to court for restitution. Avoid this company at all costs. Working with them has been one of the most frustrating, expensive mistakes I've ever made. If you decide to, make sure you know a good lawyer because these frauds will find a way to screw you over. read more

I'd leave zero stars if I could. Fraudulent! Stay away! RUN, don't walk! Unresponsive, Mickey Mouse work, followed by embarrassing patch-work attempts (after years of us chasing them and them ignoring us), money-hungry, despicable humans with no consciences. I don't know how they sleep at night robbing innocent people this way. But I find comfort in knowing the Good Lord will deal with them how He sees fit. Intex happily took six figures from us and left us in a horrendous, dire situation. I've attached a few photos of examples of texts and a few photos of our pool and bbq area literally CRUMBLING, but the whole project is pretty much failing in some capacity. Coping needs to be fully gutted and redone, bar-stools need to be fully redone, all concrete work needs to be redone, rebar rusting throughout many areas of project, outdoor kitchen needs so much repair work from crap work, RIP swim-up bar, and on and on and on. Sam and his team are in hiding - nowhere to be found. Shame! They deserve to have their business licenses revoked. They are liars and thieves. Shady, shady, shady "business" practices. They keep on changing their business addresses to different counties to run away from clients seeking resolution, repairs for their shoddy "work" or compensation. They never had anyone there supervising and it's been four month los and not only is the hole still there but it's a disaster and will cost thousands to clean up because they didn't even bother to cover the pool when it rained and when they did so, it was done by idiots so the covers were not secure and to boot, they didn't Install pumps so my pool hole flooded on several occasions causing the walls to collapse They even installed the rebar a week before the worst rains were in the forecast and that got buried in mud. The worst contractor I have worked with every. Alireza has a charming demeanor and sweet talks you into working with them. Yes they are competitive on price but that's where all the issues start. They took over a year to construct a 14 x 7 ft spool for me. They would show up on a given day and then not show up for several weeks and suddenly show up at an inopportune time without warning. They broke many plumbing connections and took out my internet several times. Ever since my pool was "finished", it has never worked properly. The heat pump company told me they installed it all wrong and even sent me a new heat pump. Two years later, I am waiting on them to come install the new heat pump properly. Unfortunately a couple of friends who started work with them at the same time as me have had the same experience so I know this isn't just me. Never again. read more

Intex built our pool last summer and I've just now decided to send a review. There were some issues that came up. Some were probably from me not reading the fine print before we got started and we felt some were communication issues on their part. With that said, we absolutely LOVE our pool. To give Intex Design & Construction one star would be overly generous. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. From day 1, there was no project management or communication - pipes installed in the wrong place, tiles not ordered til the last minute (after us asking), landscaping / plants demolished without our notice. Multiple times we had to ask when crew was coming back to get an idea of our timeline. As the plumbing and electrical was being installed, we asked the owners of the company (because the project management was so crappy, we had to get them involved) to confirm that they would straighten out the equipment to have it leveled against our pool house. We got written confirmation. Day of the installation - guess what was installed wrong? Every time Intex came to our house, it was a guessing game on what they would not tell us. If you are thinking of using them, run the opposite direction. Happy to post photos of the mismanagement and lack of communication from the team - our project is still under way. The quality of work, impeccable. The work men, ALL well mannered, clean and nice. But most of all, the 5 men who updated us daily - Ali, Ali, James, Randy , Sam...THE BEST. My experience with Intex was awful. Communication with project mangers was nil. Had to call them multiple times every step of the way regarding when the next step will be started, who is showing up, and when. I'm not here to babysit your workers and staff and most were very slow and lazy. Luckily I was home the day the tile was being installed, they had the wrong tile. I told the man bringing in the tile that it wasn't correct, he kept bringing in the boxes, I then told the installers, and they also ignored me. I finally had to call my contractor in a panic for them to stop and bring the correct tile. I totally agree with Alexis R. and Lorraine A. on how bad the service and communication was. The color in my pool started fading within 3 weeks of installation and Ali did nothing about it. Now 10 months later my pool is almost completely white when it's suppose to be deep teal, There are deep scrapes in the plaster and now the plaster is flaking off! read more

We are currently mid-project for a pool with Intex Design & Construction. Our story seems to parallel Alexis R.'s experience dated 6/18/21. The project began rather smoothly and then came to a screeching halt. No communication. No timeline for finishing. No idea if anyone is even coming back. The portable hot tub is good for 1 year. If you want parts you are screwed , it's a ripoff, they want you to buy a complete tub and motor.
