5 stars because I'm a sympathic guy, but you guys were unhappy this morning. The energy wasn't there at the register. You forgot my order within seconds of me telling you I wanted the Avocado on wheat without the olives. I was going to eat there but I decided to leave because of the negative vibes I got. I ordered an espresso (which being from Southern Europe, is almost like second skin), but not only was the so called "double espresso" really short, it was awfully and unacceptably cold! Big no-no. Interzone honestly has my favorite coffee in corvallis. All of their coffee is organic and local; it gets delivered I believe weekly. The staff are all extremely friendly and have really gotten to know so many of their customers. They can get busy, but if that ever happens and my food or coffee takes a minute they apologize. I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. All of the food here is vegetarian or vegan. The bagel sandwiches are very delicious. On the weekends they have a different menu where you can get scrambled eggs and other options. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out and giving it a chance ! read more

Interzone is my go-to for the BEST breakfast in town! The platter of Potato Nachos is big enough to split for two. All fresh toppings on a heap of beans and potatoes, topped with an egg. Predictably good hot coffee, a totally random playlist and genuinely enthusiastic staff. It's a nice blend of young families, students and quirky Corvallisites. read more

I was meaning to go and check out this place for awhile now, but then I just wandered in without realizing where I was and I ordered a honey and something something latte. It was pretty good, but I'm more of a tea person anyway, the vibe was really nice and it was served quickly. I'm pretty sure they have free wifi but I didn't use it because my phone was dead. I enjoyed my visit at Interzone. I have heard mixed reviews about it and was hesitant about trying it. I ordered the Mac and cheese with an everything bagel on the side. The bagel was amazing! I would go back just for it. The Mac and cheese was okay but nothing to rave about. I have noticed that in the evenings, this place can have a lot of traffic but during lunch time, it is pretty quiet and laid back. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable about the food that they were serving which is always a plus for me! read more

This is a great alternative coffee shop right next to campus with a nice assortment of beverages and food items. The staff is always super friendly and I really like that they have several alternatives for dairy products. I much prefer this to the chain places that are also on Monroe. read more

So there is this one table that I've never sat at that's weird. It's in front of the espresso machine so it seems like it's where people wait for a drink to go, but also friends of workers sit their. A sociable table. Interzone also has a picture of a cartoonish Nick Cave which is comforting. I've heard Dinosaur Junior and Sonic Youth on the stereo so that's cool. I have been coming here a lot and I have to say, their coffee is very good. Definitely the best coffee place that is close to the OSU campus. It is also a very awesome place to gang out and have a cup of coffee. The atmosphere feels very relaxing and the service is very friendly. As for their coffee, I usually order the caramel latte. The taste has the right balance between bitter and sweet and I love how they made the latte art when it was brought it (usually it comes out as a leaf or a heart.) The food that they served was organic and I can see myself definitely coming there again. read more

Coffee is local just like the folks that own Interzone. The Sat/ Sun breakfasts are AMAZING! What I like most about it is that it is not just full of hipsters, but families too. It is the one place I know of where everyone is just there, its all good. There is bike parking and you can use your to go cup holder over and over like a coffee club card. read more

I have been here numerous times, I have read my poetry here, and I have performed music live here. The best thing about this place was performing. As a café, I hate it. The staff who aren't the owners have been nice, but the owners always serve their friends first, take forever, screw up orders, the coffee was bland, the cups were dirty, and food is left till it's bad in the fridge. The bathroom is disgusting. The only people who seem to recommend this place to me were pretentious people who just seem to hate Dutch Brothers, which I don't care for either, but it's no reason to lower the rest of my standards. There's plenty of other coffee places in town that are local, make good products, clean up the place, and treat you with respect. I don't think the owners even know the movie Naked Lunch's reference to the Interzone, unless they are keeping the place so dirty those giant roaches will show up. read more

I love Interzone! My favorite coffee shop in Corvallis. They have great coffee and tea, and the staff is friendly and will get to know you if you become a regular customer. The only negative is that they can be really slow, and it always seems without reason. Ie, I ordered 2 lattes the other day and nobody else was in line in front or behind me and it took 10 minutes to get my drinks. So if you are in a rush it is maybe not the best option. read more

The cardamon latte is as good as it gets! The owners are wonderful and they are very supportive of local artists and musicians. The food is always changing but there is always a tasty option for us. I usually end up coming home with a hand drawn card for a friend or a t-shirt for myself and I always enjoy seeing artwork by local artists on display. Its hard to write this review, as I do enjoy some aspects of the business. At the same time, I had a terrible experience the other day here, and I felt the need to write about it. When I was there a few weekends ago, I ordered off the vegan brunch menu. It was a tofu scramble which I was super excited for but unfortunately I regret ever paying that much money for the dish. The first warning sign was that the dish did not look appetizing. The tofu had this brown seasoning that mad it look like dirt. Once I had taken a bite of the food, I immediately spit it out in my napkin. I then proceeded to try to dump hot sauce all over the dish to make it taste at least decent and that didn't even work. I have never asked for money back for a dish or even sent back a plate of food at a resteraunt but I seriously considered it in that moment. All I could think was I could do so much better at home. It really was inedible. I ended up throwing the dish away and lost about $10 on it. I was super disappointed since I have had their bagel sandwiches before which are decently tasty. Overall, nice people, decent vibe and good tea, but I would stay away from their vegan brunch menu. read more

i was recently writing reviews of coffee shops for tucson, where i live now, and realized that i was comparing them all to the interzone! at the risk of sounding small town, i really think that the interzone is one of the best coffee shops. ever. i love bill and iris and their coffee is really (really, really) good, reflecting a true knowledge of what a real brew should taste like. they get their beans from a local roaster and iris slings up fantastic grub on the weekends (yummy huevos rancheros) and tasty (fresh baked!) pastries on weekdays. i like their self-serve presspots, as it really speeds things up in line, and i find their shop a wonderful place to pass the time. do yourself a favor and have a cup of their coffee--they'll even make you an individual drip cup if you prefer a certain roast. bill can tell you what's good at the moment, or help you choose something that'll suit your tastes. i particularly like the mexican, sumatra, costa rica and ethiopian. they'll rotate their presspot offerings often, too, so you'll have ample opportunity to sample various beans. max stars all the way! read more
