Boutique bakery focused on sourdough breads. If you get up early and wolk downtown Corvallis you can't help but notice the smell of baking bread. This bakery tucked away next ot the Big River restaurant has some of the best sourdough bread around. Their main client is the local First Alternative co-op, but if you stop by the bakery you can pick it up same day fresh. The owner is a fantaic about the starter she feeds. She won't even allow smelly people (cigarettes or too much perfume) near the starter for fear of it taking on the wrong flavor. Learned that the word companion is latin for someone you share bread with (com - with, pan - bread). Their logo is "in crust we trust" and the proof is in the wonderful bread they make. The baker even threw in some bonus spinach sourdough rolls that tasted like the spinach dip was baked in - yummy!

Best chocolate buttercream cupcakes I've ever had and they were only 2.50 each! The bread was very affordable as well.

Tried one of their breakfast crepe, it was pretty good, although their espresso/cappuccino machine was broken.

I always enjoy my latte here. I've also tried out their sweet and creamy cold brew (a little too sweet but as a treat it was great!) and their cortado which are both solid. My go to dish is usually the acai bowl. Plenty of textures, flavors, and a good amount of sour and sweet that makes it's perfectly balanced. The only downside is that the spoons that are provided are a little big for the bowl that you are given, so you are bound to spill a little bit. The Mexican bowl is okay, but not quite my personal preference since there is more of a curry taste to it. Overall come and give Bodhi a try!

Though busy on a Wednesday afternoon (it was the day before Thanksgiving after all), we found a table and had a great meal. I loved my latte and biscuits and gravy! Everything was tastefully presented and had wonderful flavors. The portion sizes aren't too big, so don't expect a huge meal. I found the biscuits and gravy to be filling for a brunch, but someone with a bigger appetite might want to opt for something more substantial. The staff did a great job getting many orders out in a fairly short amount of time, and based on my meal, they weren't sacrificing quality in the process. The cafe norms are pretty standard for a seat-yourself cafe where you order at the counter, pick up your food at the counter, and bus your own table. I found Bodhi Cafe and Bakery to be exactly what I needed, and look forward to returning.

Delighted and very pleased . . . My husband's big birthday…read morewas during the terrible ice storm last weekend in Corvallis. All of our family was arriving before the bad weather hit, so we decided to have the celebration Friday at our home instead of Sunday at the reserved location. It was a scramble to have everything in place on Friday instead of Sunday, but the best part was the beautiful cake I had ordered from Tami of Sassy Cakes. Over and beyond the call of duty, she made it possible to have the cake delivered on Friday as well! I know it was a great effort on her part, but I was thrilled she could make it happen. Tami is a delight to work with, and her cakes are most exceptional! She is a true artist and the birthday cake was scrumptious and expertly custom made. I am spreading the word of how pleased we were, and I know you will be pleased, too!

There are two bathrooms and cute windows but you'd never guess what deliciousness awaits. From a blue clues cake, to wedding cakes/cupcakes, bridal showers, or any theme you could imagine she makes it all happen. Her talent is a steal for the pricing and definitely creates a memory. She can do a variety of flavors from chocolate with raspberry filling - which was my favorite, a creamsicle, or Andy's mint, to a variety of others I didn't get the chance to try. They were sweet but not overwhelming and dare I say.... moist. For your next special event or when you're craving a sweet keep it local with Sassy Cakes!
