SUPER cute!! This is inside of Little Pisces ONLY on weekends (SAT&SUN). If you're a coffee lover who enjoys creative, seasonal flavours, Interlude Coffee is the perfect weekend pop-up to check out in Burnaby! They only open on weekends, but their lineup of drinks makes it so worth the trip. I loved their Hojicha + Black Sesame latte, rich, nutty, and beautifully balanced. You can tell they put a lot of care into the texture and presentation. The vibe is cozy and minimalist, with friendly baristas and a community feel. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to slow down and just enjoy your cup. There's usually a small line, but that's part of the charm of a pop-up this good. Definitely keep an eye out for their new flavour drops! Interlude Coffee is a must-visit for anyone who loves trying unique drinks in the Burnaby area.

Interlude Coffee has done a great job of marketing their drinks and when their banana brûlée matcha launched a few months ago, I was stoked to give it a try! It was quite delicious with torched bananas on time, and a bananay pudding purée at the bottom. The matcha quality was excellent and I had no complaints about the sugar level (it's definitely a treat at around $8-$9 but would be a great spot for a matcha fan). They seem to be keeping this on their menu for now. I went back to try their black sesame hojicha recently. While this did not wow me the same one the matcha did, it was still a combination I haven't seen at any other cafe (unfortunately I found the sesame brittle too hard and could not taste any of the supposed miso). Overall, the staff are always friendly and it seems to be a popular pop up!

Located Inside of Little Pisces Taiyaki and Soft Serve This coffee pop up is serving to-go coffee from 9am-2pm on Saturday and Sundays in the summer. They also offer a few baked goods as well Coffee was tasty and their barista was very quick. Oat milk is available at no extra charge. They offer a few summer special coffee like Banana Bischoff ($8) matcha and Black Sesame Latte I got the Spanish latte ($6) They were playing some music so the cafe had a nice vibe. I would come back for more coffee They are not affiliated with Little Pisces so purchasing coffee does not give you Little Pisces loyalty points.

Wifey also ordered a latte whilst I got an Americano. The chocolate cake was super moist, decadent and delicious. Too sweet for me but I can see for chocolate lovers this would be a good choice. My chiffon cake was lighter, moist and plenty of cream. The blueberries were plump, juicy and sweet. The overall bite was nice. The seating in the side of the bakery is cozy and clean. Nicely accentuated chairs got the decor. Service was pleasant from the cashiers at front and they had smiles throughout our visit. Very vice bakery and would definitely visit again.

This place is well known for its mille crepe cakes, and we can see why. The cake was light, soft, and beautifully layered with what looked like 30+ thin layers. They offer 15+ flavours, including durian, mango, matcha, pistachio, and tiramisu, so there are plenty of options. We liked that the cake was not too sweet, which made it easy to enjoy. It felt like a perfect dessert for a celebration with friends or family. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The service is a bit slow, but we think it is worth the wait since everything is freshly prepared. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would order again for another special occasion. We tried both the matcha and pistachio crepe cake and I found the pistachio to have a nicer flavor. Someone had the durian slush and they loved it. If you love durian, it's a must try as it packed a strong smell! The mango fruit was fresh but there were annoying fruit flies buzzing around. Another had the mango with taro mochi ice dessert. The mochi was delicious. Overall we found the prices to on the higher end. Ambiance: 4/5 - nice clean place with plenty of seating. It looked new. We selected two different items to share: a chocolate cake and the other was earl grey. I loved how they were not overly sweet. The earl grey one had grapefruit inside, which unfortunately my friend cannot eat so he was a little disappointed that I got to have more of this one. Lucky for me, I don't have that problem! The piece of grapefruit on top should have been a clue, but he didn't notice it when we were ordering. haha I did find the combination a bit unusual but I enjoyed it nonetheless as I love both grapefruit and earl grey tea! Service appears to be restricted to counter service, so you order at the counter and take your food and drinks to a table. It was really busy in the cafe but we managed to snag the last open table. Because it was so crowded, it was a little difficult to carry on a normal conversation. Not deafening, just quite lively. The coffee was good - but word of advice, make sure you let them know if you want to add milk or cream as they do fill your cup to the brim! I would probably return to try some of their other desserts because I find most places a bit too sweet for me. Definitely recommend this spot.
