I have been coming here for over 10 years, customer service and care has declined drastically. The past three visits, receptionists were unfriendly with a sad demeanor. The doctor and receptionist both have nasty attitudes as if they hate their job, They don't like when you ask questions or having your prescription written out. She was annoyed because I came in to get my glasses fixed. The arm fell off, I just got this pair TWO weeks ago. They also have a very limited selection for lenses. I shouldn't be coming in 4 years in a row and the selection is the exact same. Please take your business anywhere but here. read more

It was late afternoon last Friday and I was on my way to Disneyland for Dapper Weekend. When I took my glasses off to clean them at a stoplight, one of the earpieces broke off. I reached for my spare set, and one of the earpieces broke off that pair as well. My phone showed me that I was very close to InStyle Optometry, so I called them. Even though I was not a patient, Jessica said I could come in and she would try to help me. And she did. She popped out my lenses and tried them on quite a few frames. She finally found a pair that fit. The glasses looked good and were very reasonably priced. She really went the extra mile for me and I was able to finish out the weekend with a functional and stylish pair of glasses. I commend her kindness and her professionalism. Improvement in Customer Service Training. Never judge a book by its cover just bc someone has a certain medical coverage don't assume they can't and won't spend money on your higher end items but if you never ask it won't happen. That was my experience and I was a little offended that I had to ask to be shown the higher end choices bc they kept me. Olon the basic low end like I could afford to spend more??? It just training maybe and not the person who helped me who was fairly nice. Why she never introduced her self to me and I at the end had to ask her her name is once again a customer service training issue. I think I and people want to be be treated and get treated by a human caring being and not robotic questions and responses and then just move on to the next person. Maybe that just me but it seems.to be a lost Art in Customer Service . I don't blame the staff I look at management that excepts service at this level. It can be so much more if people were given the right tools attiitudes and knowledge to know how to serve and do consultative selling. Dr. Is great staff was OK but it still feels a little cold and uninviting due to the awkwardness of communications or the lack of it. This place is a joke!!!! It's been 4 months since I ordered my sunglasses and they keep saying they lost my file and postponing my delivery. My insurance paid them last year 2021 and also I paid my copay the same day I ordered them. I asked for a refund because I'm honestly tired of waiting and just hearing stupid excuses they guaranteed me that they should have the glasses in 5 to 7 business days, this is the last time I"ll give them a chance. Nice office, large selection of stylish frames. The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr. Do extremely so. So I have very little sense of style and have been getting the same old wire-style frames for over 10 years. They helped me choose a more modern, hip pair of Ray-Bans and I still get compliments on them to this day. Needless to say I have been back twice since and have been very happy each time. Recently went back even tho I no longer have insurance thinking the prices would be better than lenscrafters but actually their the same . I was refer by my coworker to come here. I called and the girl I spoke was so nice and professional. I told that my staff and I need to get our eyes check because our insurance plan will switch and we wanted to maximize our plan. They were so accommodating and waited for us and extend the hours. Dr. Do was so professional and discussed my vision. My vision has gotten worst and she recommended I see a specialist and follow up with her every year. So here I am again posting another negative post regarding Dr. Do's services. As promised I said I'd never go back and I never will. I had another exam a few days ago. Come to find out the glasses Dr. Do prescribed for me are supposed to be for computer work, reading, and TV. However, the glasses are for distance not for reading. Are you kidding me!!!! Unbelievable to think you trust your provider only to find out you can't. I hope you pay better attention to the kind of services you provide your remaining patients. Because of me you've lost about 12 to 15 patients. Hope your happy. I'll keep spreading the word about you. read more

Be warned: typical Asian doctor who only cares about the money, overpriced glasses and contacts, and shoddy customer service. I came here a few weeks ago for glasses, but somehow ended paying $400 even though I have insurance. I told the doctor and staff that I was only there to get glasses because I already got my contact prescription with them back in April. The girl who helped me didn't explain the costs. My bad as I assumed everything was charged correctly. A week later, they called me back and told me that they forgot to charge me a copay. So I asked them to go over what I already paid. Apparently, I was charged a contact fitting fee and also for contacts with the new prescription that I never tried on. I didn't feel that a fitting was done, since my exam was short and the doctor didn't check to see that they fit properly. I was in the exam room for less than 10 minutes, apparently it takes only 5 min for an eye exam and another 5 min to fit contacts. I asked for a refund of the fitting fee since I already paid for one back in April (I had to point out that my contact prescription was still current with them, just shows how much they care about their patients.) They refused to give me a refund, and said the contacts could only be an exchanged. It would cost me an additional $30 to get my current contacts. I said forget it, not wanting to give them anymore of my money. Now I'm stuck with contacts that I can't wear. Another issue was the doctor showed up 30 min late. Why set the appointment at 9:30 am on Saturday, if the doctor doesn't come in till 10 am? (I honestly don't understand why doctors do this). This was my third and also my last visit. read more

Ruby told me my contacts would be ready 3 days from my appt. It has been 9 days and I am still waiting for my prescription. I gave the office a call & she rushed me on the phone by saying I needed to wait until Friday because She got confused and mistook me for another patient. When I asked for a estimated date for when they would be ready she had attitude and just said that hey would call me when they were in and that if I needed a trial pair they could give me one IF THEY HAD ANY. This place is a joke. Not only do they charge way to much but you could go to Costco and get the exam and contacts for pretty much the same price in half the time. If you don't mind taking to uneducated front desk girls who like to gossip about their boyfriends than this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor and find a better quality office! read more

Ok what can I say I'm a sucker for second chances. I believe everyone deserves a second chance so with that said I went back yesterday for my son's eye exam. However the place is located in a very small neighborhood and parking is limited so don't forget your fake disability sticker...just kidding. When we walked inside it was very inviting and we were immediately greeted by one of the front receptionist. She was friendly and was very helpful though her appearance looked like she had partied the night before and frantically got up in the morning and realized Oh shoot I have to go to work on Saturday....reapply makeup real quick, put hair in bun but Hey I look hot wink wink ...Ok I think we've all done that sometime or another in our 20's. I dont know about you but I still shower no matter whaaaat!!! Anyway I filled out new patient paperwork therafter my son was taken back to the exam room. After he came out she showed him a selection of glasses for him to choose. 5-10 minutes later OD called him back, exam took anywhere from 10-15min which is pretty reasonable when the OD says "1 or 2, or 3 or 4" After a while You just kinda wanna say what about 6 I like 6 just to throw the Dr off ya know. Anyway overall it was a great experience the second time around. Oh and my son was happy that they offered cool refreshing water..he's easy to please ;-) read more

I bought a pair of glasses from this place about 4 years ago. They remain scratch-free and I'm pretty careless when it comes to eyeglass care. I bought a different pair of eyeglasses about 6 months ago from a different optometrist. They were scratched after a month and I bought scratch guard coating. I wish I had stuck with these guys. This place was a life-saver! I tore my last pair of contacts the week of my bachelorette party in Vegas, and my prescription was expired. I called and spoke to the receptionist (I believe her name was Ruby??). I asked her if she had any openings, which they didn't, but I explained to her my situation, and she agreed to try to fit me in the next day! When I arrived, she knew exactly who I was and oh my gosh, she was a rockstar! There were a ton of people and she was multi-tasking like crazy, I was very impressed. The eye exam was just your average one, I guess. I used the Yelp Deal for $25 off, so my contact lens exam, including a trial pair of lenses and solution, came out to only $80! Way cheaper than Walmart or Costco, where I usually go. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you use the Yelp deal! read more

Do NOT NOT NOT come here. I went here because I was having trouble with my vision, needed a prescription update, and I was recommended by my primary care doctor. I had an appointment but they still made me waiting for a long time. Isn't that the worst! Strike one. Then I filled out all the paperwork and was called into the back. There they did the peripheral vision, color blindness testing etc... I then tried to tell the lady that the book she was doing the color blindness tests from were hardly colored anymore. It was a faintly colored because the book was sooooo old. For a service that specializes in eye care, you would think they would have proper equipment. Strike 2. Finally my appointment came and I went to the back room. I told the doc i had trouble with my left eye and before she even looked, she said it was normal!!! WTF! I continued to say I was worried about it since I really wanted her to pay attention... it is my vision we are talking about. She looked. Said normal. Moved on. Its obviously not normal because it has gotten worse! Back to the patient interaction.... I placed my head into the "prescription machine" and she went 1 or 2. 2 or 3. Which is better. The typical. As it continued it started to fog up. I told the doc and she wiped it but it came back and fogged again. I told her again and she was frustrated. Come to the end and I told her, its not right. My vision through the machine doesn't seem right. Oh well thats what you got. So she says 1 or 2 again. I give her answer. I told her its still not right, and she could care less. WTF!!!! ABSOLUTE WORST! SHE SHOULD 100% LOSE HER LICENSE. Horrible customer service. Horrible eye care. DO NOT NOT NOT COME HERE. PS. They want to charge you for a eye dilation without even being seen yet.
