My family and I had been visiting the artesia location for some time. However, since we moved to Buena Park, we decided to change to this location for the close drive. I appreciated the Dr. Taking her time assessing my 6 year old due to poor vision. What we planned was a quick in and out ended up being us waiting for my daughters eyes to be dilated for further assessment. I am glad she took the time to do this. The only downfall was limited frame choices vs. the artesia one. One employee actually informed me they get the leftovers sent from artesia LOL in other words, if you like fancy frames, you may want to check out another place. If you're like my kids who will just take what's on the rack, feel free to stop in. read more

I saw another review in regard to medical recipients not being able to get glasses ... and I just want to also note that I had the exact issue. They will gladly do the test but when it comes to you getting the glasses good luck. They for some reason never have the frames and don't help you too much. Beware MediCal Recipients! When I called this place they told me I will get a free glasses every 2 year. I did the exam which took more than 1 hour however NO FREE Glasses unless you have extremely bad eyesight. I have to pay out of pocket if you want one. Waste my time and energy. The staff are super knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I walked in to book an appt for 2 days later. And on the day of my appt, I checked in and was immediately taken care of. Someone did my screening tests, the Doctor did my exam, and someone helped me pick out my frames and finalized the rest. I have VSP Signature from my employer, and this place accepts that insurance plan. The young lady who helped me out at the end explained my plan very clearly and I understood exactly what was covered, and what wasn't. And they're not pushy on upselling add-ons, which is a plus in my book. As a new patient, the full screening, exam, and frame selection took about 70 minutes. read more

Sharing a good experience review as we just finished our visit today. Very professional consultant and optometrist. I was there with my mom for her dmv eye examination. Maria(eyewear consultant) was super nice and eager to help. She was kind enough to wait patiently on the phone to hep us verifying our insurance documents prior to in-person visit. Although our service was not covered by insurance and we had to pay cash for the exam, the staffs and doctors are super gentle and professional. Dr Yu is really kind and knowledgeable as well. Review for safety glasses. This optometrist was listed as a place i could get safety glasses from through my work. Called prior and was told I could do a walk in and I'll just need the proper forms filled out and my latest prescription. So I did just that. *covid info*. You wait at the entrance and they come out to take your temperature. Masks are required and all the workers were wearing one. They had me choose from about a dozen safety glasses. Choices were pretty standard. I got 2 sets, one tinted and one clear. The whole process was very straight forward. The thing I appreciated the most about them was that they kept me updated on the status of my safety glasses (it was a 2-3 wk lead time) via text and call. I've never felt so belittled or humiliated in my adult life. First I must say - The women working at the front desk were amazingly kind, helpful, and respectful. However, there was a miscommunication between myself and Dr. Yu that led to a charge not covered or advertised on the VSP website. I couldn't afford the charge, and the doctor asked me to return the pair of contacts CURRENTLY IN my eyes so that she could throw them away. I can't adequately express the morbidity of the situation in text, but I know this is not how anyone should ever treat a patient. I will never return to this site. read more

Had a great experience with Precision Vision. They increased my insurance allowance, which allowed me to get a year's worth of contacts for an amazing price. Eye exam was quick and the Doctor offered solid advise regarding my use of redness-relieving eye drops. I'll be back in January to get a pair of glasses. I highly recommend this place. read more

Located off the 5 freeway and Euclid, in the 99 Ranch plaza is this optometry place. They have another office off Pioneer in Artesia, also next to the 99 Ranch Market. Their staff is friendly, and they don't pressure you into buying certain brands. I never had a bad experience at either location, and they always check my insurance to make sure I get what I am entitled to. I can't find any fault with either location, except perhaps parking can be a pain in a busy shopping plaza. read more

If you are reading this, stay away from this business if you want no trouble and problems. 1. They don't care what customers want and need. They only care about their profits. 2. Their policy that customers are allowed one re-do if customers not satisfied with any lenses/frames problems. However, that one time re-do includes Dr's mistakes and/or the lab's mistakes. 4. A bifocal glasses for driving, long distance for driving and intermediate for dashboard, they made the small window as for short distance reading. The glasses is for daytime driving and so should be made as sunglasses. The small window not tinted. These 2 problems are not my fault. So they re-do with no charge. I told them I want my right for that one time re-do. They check with the manager and told me ok. The re-do bi-focal sunglasses has vision problem that I can even see better without the glasses. They said I need to pay if I want the lenses changed even though they told me before that I still have one time re-do right. read more

Thus office is very clean makes me so comfortable to bring the rest of my family. Mayra help me out with my eye exams. My exams are usually 25-30 mins, doctors are sweet and give alot of additional information regarding glasses and contact care. I usually get my contacts in a week or less. I would recommend this place to anyone, it's located in a convenient shopping center with lots of delicious food and baked goods. I've been going to a different optometrist for the last 8 years because I liked the selection of frames they had. The selection of frames here isn't as great but The staff is very thorough in all their exams and makes sure your eye health is top priority. I didn't realize how subpar the eye care I was receiving before was until I came here. Dr. Helen Tran was knowledgeable, thorough and patient with explaining why I was feeling a strain in my eyes due to my different prescription in each eye. I have been wearing glasses for 20 years, and visited many optometrist in the area. In my experience this establishment is the best, the girls at the front desk are friendly, office is clean and doctor's are courteous and knowledgeable. My most recent visit involved contact lense eye exam and try on, the doctor was so patient with me, I'm love my contact lenses, I've tried using them before but they were not the right fit and other offices just gave up. Love that I now have both options glasses and contact lenses. Highly recommend, 10 stars for this office! read more

The staff here are very nice. They are professional. That's the only good thing I can say. Other than that, BEWARE OF THEM RIPPING YOU OFF! EXPENSIVE! I bought a pair of glasses that over a day I realized it made my face look off. I called to ask if I can return or even store credit, and their policy does not allow any kind of returns nor swap nor store credit. So I'm stuck with a $330 pair of glasses that also have a lot of glare which they can't even fix. AVOID THIS PLACE WHEN IT COMES TO BUYING ANYTHING! I went in because I broke my glasses and needed a new frame asap. I called ahead to make sure they could help me look for a new frame for my lenses and I was told to just walk in. Upon entering they check your temperature and ask you to fill out a form regarding covid-19 before trying on glasses. I was having a difficult time looking for a frame that was a good fit for my lenses especially because all the frames are inside glass storage so I couldn't physically see the fit but Karina came to help with that and was determined to help me find the right frame for my lenses. I was just about to give up and walk out but thankfully she kept looking for me and found one!! I was so glad she found the perfect frame for me and was able to help me see again. I went in with a foreign body in my eye. They accommodated their schedule to fit me in. They were very professional from start to end. Ran all necessary exams before even taking a look at my eye (I'm assuming to get a baseline). Then Dr. Sue proceeded to extract what she later mentioned appeared to be a shard of mental. I had suffered a corneal abrasion. They prescribed eye solution to prevent infection and sent me on my way. Let me mention, I had already gone to an urgent care who basically brushed me off. Currently still in the healing phase, so we'll see what happens, but Thank you to Precision Vision! My eye feels much better. read more

I used to think was a great place, but I have been proven wrong. My husband and I got our glasses here and I am very disappointed on how the prices keep going up unexpectedly. The day I picked my glasses I paid for them then the next day I was told I needed to pay an additional amount because things were added wrong. That wasn't my fault so I made sure to stand my ground. Then I go to pick up my husbands glasses for Valentine's Day and he goes to put them on and they're super thick like ugly. The frames were already $240. And insurance paid $150. So aside from that I paid an additional $165. Now I'm being told I have to pay an additional $113.00 to get a thinner lens when that's what we asked for in the first place! Now I have to have my husband take time out of his day and take them back and wait for a week or two. This is just insane! So with what insurance paid, what I paid and now what they're charging me ($113.00) to get this issue resolved, the total comes up to $424. I work in retail and I would never do something like this to someone. I am just so upset that they did this. To all of my friends and yelpers don't waste your time or money here! I'm going to do some research on what can be done about this. UPDATE: Linda contacted me and was able to resolve the issue. I am very happy with the end results. She went above and beyond to get my husbands glasses fixed. We are very happy with the outcome. Linda read more
