I usually go to Wada optometry but this place had good reviews and was just down the street to my house so I decided to check them out. I came in today for my eye exam, glasses and contacts, since my insurance covers both. When I checked in the girl at the front desk, I didn't get her name, had told me that my insurance only covers one or the other and I would be charged for the contacts or the glasses. I informed her that my insurance covers both, and she said "well usually insurances only cover one." Im like "I know that but my insurance plan covers both." I work in the medical field, I'm currently a nursing student but I've worked the front desk and dealt with insurance eligibility before. Apparently they don't check benefits and eligibility here at precision vision optometry because after I kept insisting she decided to call and what do you know... I was right. After we had that settled she then said I would still be responsible for the contact lens fitting which I was confused because I never pay for that. I agreed at first but after my eye exam I told the optometrist that I was going to hold off on the contact lens fitting because I was being charged and I normally don't pay. I logged on to my United health care vision account and checked my benefits and again, it showed my that my contact lens fitting was covered if I get the contacts that the insurance covers which is what i always get. When I asked the front desk about it again she said that they don't carry the ones my insurance covers (I get the acuve vita monthly ones) . So I said okay fine how much would it be for the monthly ones and she said it depends and it occurred to me to ask if they carried acuve vita to which she said yes. I hate arguing, I hate being a patient/ customer that is a pain in the ass, but come on. At this point I was just so annoyed and frustrated but I remained calmed. I showed her my benefits on my phone and told her "look those are the contacts I get and they're covered under my insurance" and she responded " yeah but we need to be the ones to look up that information and I can't find it...do you wanna just get the glasses today and do the contacts another day because I have to call". Nothing is more frustrating than someone not wanting to do their job. So I replied to her "no, I'd really like for you to figure this out because I know my insurance covers my contacts and I'm already here" so she asks someone else and they figure it out and what do you know... I'm right... AGAIN. But this time she says I still have to pay and IF the insurance covers it they'll reimburse me. Are you kidding me? You just checked my Benefits it literally says it's covered and I still have to pay ? This is why I have insurance so I DONT have to pay. She's like "okay we'll it's office policy" I'm like I have never heard an office with that policy before, I have never had any issues with my insurance I don't understand. I was over it I told her I'll get my glasses right now and my contacts else where. And apparently it takes 3 weeks for their glasses to be ready. Honestly I would avoid this place it's just a hassle, I don't know about the other front desk staff but the girl that I had to deal with did not want to do her job.Definitely going back to Wada Optometry never had issues with them and I would get my glasses in a week. I was just wanting to go somewhere closer but clearly that didn't work out. read more

The office is very clean and all of my questions are always answered, I never leave with any doubts. They have lots of options, take mostly all insurance and always help me find what fits me best. Referred to this Optometry by a friend, and glad I came. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I saw doctor Hsu, and I do appreciate how she patiently explain to me how progressive glasses works. Staff are all very friendly too, I found they greet customers when we walked in, everyone is kind of busy but can still keep a smile on their face. They explained to me about my insurance benefits throughly which helped a lot. This lady who is their assistant manager is the best, she seems really know her stuff, easily understand the style of frames I was looking for, and gave my recommendations based on my wish list and did not go over my budget, she let me know that there are these different kinds of progressive glasses, which I didn't know, she also told me about this blue light blocker coating, which is something I never had before, and I totally love it, never gonna go back to regular anti glare again. This place is top notch! Customer service is definitely what keeps me coming back. Seems like the process of getting you eye exam here seems so straightforward and hassle free. The machines that they have are all new and its nice to put your chin is something that looks clean. On top of that, their machines also seem more advanced. One of the main reason why I keep coming back is the selection of frames you can choose from. They have all types of brands from economical to high end fashion. They work with your insurance and work with you to make you happy. I have referred a few people here and they all have been very satisfied. A coworker already ordered a pair of eye glasses through LensCrafters. I told him to give this place a shot and he ended up spending a third of what LensCrafters was charging him. And the funny thing, he was much happier with the frames he got over the ones LensCrafters were offering. If you are in the market for new eye wear... definitely give this place a shot! read more

We made an appointment to come in this afternoon for a simple eye exam and waited so long to be seen by Dr. Tran and were there for about 1.5 hours. I guess doctor was running behind but I feel like that's something that should've been communicated to us before. Maybe it was a bad day for the doctor but I recommend to speed things up a little to better service patients. Front office staff was courteous they apologized for the delay but I don't think we'll be coming back here for slow service. read more

This place is the best for glasses and contacts. My husband and I have separate insurances and we were both able to get an amazing deal. I've been wearing glasses for 12 years and I've purchased glasses from Lens Crafters as well as private optometrists such as this office. This has been the best deal I have gotten on glasses BAR NONE!! I bought a pair of Gucci glasses and let me just say that I less for these here than a pair of no name glasses at Lend Crafters. They carry all the designer names as well as generic, which ever you're into... The doctors are amazing, very knowledgable and they have all the latest equipment. They do not know good customer service. Was stuck and traffic and going to be 10 minutes late to an appointment. Apparently so many customers I wouldn't be able to be seen because i am a new patient and apparently there is a lot of paperwork! Lol if you have great insurance like I do (VSP) there are PLENTY of doctors in the area that will accept your insurance and be kind and courteous, unlike the reception staff this evening, and understand when circumstances arise out of your control. Have an appointment for 5pm tomorrow at one of them. "We told you to be here a little earlier for paperwork" is not the response you give a customer.!I'm sure your form is simple and will not take that long. It seems to be an issue of laziness. I like this place :) I've come here a couple times, with the most recent time being last week. The first time, I felt that the service was a little lacking, but everyone was polite and straightforward, which I appreciate. I was looking for some glasses, but didn't find what I was looking for. The appointment was pretty short since I didn't find anything. The next time I came, I wanted to try contacts. I had a different doctor (optometrist) this time who was very sweet, and really explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable going through the whole process of switching to contacts. After she put the contacts in my eyes herself, an assistant helped me learn how to take them out and put them back in on my own. She was also super helpful. All my questions were answered, and I left very happy with my new contacts! read more

Dr. Helen Tran is amazing at what she does! That was, by far, the most thorough eye exam I've ever had in my life. And I'm old. Really old. She left no stone unturned and I learned things about my eyes and vision I never knew existed. The rest of the staff was also impeccable, I'll never go anywhere else. read more

We went in to get a quick frame for my new reading glasses and Karina (an employee who worked there) was extremely helpful! She helped me find the perfect pair for me that fit my price range. Went there to get my fiancés glasses fixed to replace his nosepads, they were very disrespectful, very rude, & did NOT give courteous customer service. They talked in their own language about us and wanted to charge $4 dollars for a simple thing that could of been free. I will NOT return back to them for anything. read more

They have a variety of different glasses selection, so I applaud them for that. However, their employees in this place have bad attitudes and look pissed off 75% of the time. They don't have great customer service and they're not approachable. I would advise the employees to have a more positive attitude when they are serving current and future clients. read more

3 stars but only because I've had to cone out so many times (otherwise 5 stars honestly). Here for the second time in 2 days and didn't leave with my contacts. Says open 7 days until 7PM on door and website but are apparently closed today (YELP even says you're open right now!). Got here at 6:52 last night an they were closed with their lights off. they are super friendly but I'm kind of upset their times are not accurate. I wasted gas (which is super expensive these days!!)and time, 30 min today and 45 min yesterday coming out here only to have to come back again tomorrow. Please update your times as personal time is precious to people. read more

Very dissatisfied. I went in looking for some black frame glasses that would fit my oversized abnormally huge head and the white chick seemed bothered that I asked what the options where. I caught on to her unwillingness to provide customer service so I left and my big head with me. I went around the corner to Euclid optometry and saw a HUGE difference. They layed out all the options and I found the perfect frames. Sorry but not sorry. You should do your job with a smile and practice good customer service. Just an fyi. read more

I enjoy this place. Short waits, very professional staff and the office appears to be in great condition. I ended up getting a contact exam, 6 month supply of contacts, and a new pair of glassed. There was a delay because my eyes were extremely dry and there was a minor infection. This place is very professional and nice. They took good cafe of me and kept checking my progress until my eyes healed (so that my vision stabilized again). read more

They tell me my insurance only covers two certain brands and that if I want anything else I have to pay out of pocket well today I called my insurance plan and they said that's wrong they cover any brand and that if I went over my allowance I had to pay for it. So why would they tell me I'm only limited to two certain brands? I'm so upset I'm getting the claim reversed and getting the prescription and buying the frame and lenses somewhere else. DON'T COME HERE! Unless you want to be lied to about your plan coverage. If they did this to me I wonder how many other people they have done this too. read more

Hope this helps. The optometrists are very nice and friendly. They explained everything perfectly. The only thing i didn't like were the girls working in the front. They were not helpful at all and seemed bothered every time you asked them a question. I have a very big family that i wish i could recommend but honestly i wouldn't feel comfortable sending them just because i wouldnt want them to deal with any type of rudeness. The eye doctors themselves are very nice though. Hate to write this review but hope they either hire new people to be nicer to their customers or get them to improve their customer service. read more

The staff is very accommodating as both myself and my teenage daughter went in for exams and they staggered our appointments so that we could both be seen. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They seem to have all the latest technology and Dr. Hsu was very thorough with my exam and I learned many things about my eyes that I did not know before coming here, they have a wide range of brands to choose from. The optometrists there seem knowledgeable, but customer service is marginal. I do not recommend getting eyeglasses there as the lab is one of the worst. Staff error could not be ruled out, but definitely the lab needs to be inspected for quality control. My eyeglasses are still not worth the near $500 I paid. I still have some difficulty seeing out of them. I recommend finding another optometrist. read more

This place was great, called in on a Sunday afternoon to see if any open slots for my appointment and lucky me they had one. The lady on the phone was nice and professional. When I got there it made a very good impression, really clean and organized inside with a lot of options to select from, the doctor there was really nice and informative. I needed an eye exam for contacts and don't have vision insurance anymore. I called Wal-Mart first because I thought they would be affordable but they couldn't fit me in during my lunch break so I contacted Precision Vision. Not only were they able to see me right away, their cost for an eye exam turns out to be even less than Wal-Mart! And the doctor was very informative, friendly, patient, and professional and answered all of my questions. She even gave me sample contacts to tryout before making a larger purchase. So I was here last week I don't remember if it was Monday or Tuesday but let me tell you this optometrist is by far one of the best ones that I've been to very clean and very courteous staff. They greeted me as I walked in and took me in fairly quickly the Dr. I seen was also very friendly I believe her name is Dr. Hsu she explained every question and concern I had thoroughly and the exam was pretty quick as well, and the girl that was doing the testing before the exam was also very kind and answered my questions about every one of the "machines" everything took about 35 mins I was in and out of the dr office and I was able to pick out a frame. My appointment was at 6 pm so I had about 30 mins to pick out a frame and be out of there (although I took a little longer) they have a variety of brands to choose from, some very high end brands as well. I did stay a little after 7 because I just could not choose (the girl with the bun helped with that decision and she was very nice as well I can't remember her name:( ) and they did give me a warning letting me know they closed in 10 mins and would be open the day after at 10 am but they didn't try to rush me out of the door I am a college student so I don't have time to come back the day after and they were understanding of that. So I was out by like 7:05? And I just picked up my glasses today and I love them!! It took about 4 days for them to have them ready and the prescription is perfect I would definitely come back and recommend friends to come here! read more
