It's been since June 11th when I had my first and last appointment here. I went in because I lost my glasses and my vision is like -4 and -9 and they didn't offer me any contacts to see in the meantime of waiting for my glasses. First they said it would take 4-6 weeks until my glasses arrive which was majorly a high concern considering other optometrist take up to 2 weeks max to receive my glasses. Then I call and they say it'll be 6-8 weeks. It's now July 28th still haven't received my glasses. The eye doctor I hope has my prescription correct so I can see otherwise I will complain to a higher department. And the staff upfront weren't really trying to help at first because I didn't have a bank account to pay for my visit and went through my insurance instead idk if they get commission or what that way but they were rude. Today I came in to renew my eye prescription! I've been coming to Dr. Pevisich for a while now.... Today was my first time at the new location that's directly across the street from the previous location! It was easy to find... you just have to park in the back part of the office (in the alley)! It's a lot bigger than the previous spot! When I walked in it seemed so busy but the staff got thru the rush really fast. I got Called up exactly at my appt time! Dr. Pevisich did my eye exam and was very thorough! He remembered me even though I hadn't gone for a couple years! Staff is very friendly & I recommend them to anyone looking for an optometrist in the Anaheim area! Dr Steve is great to work with! Between the Front Desk and the doctor, I had nothing but stellar customer service. Good conversation with the Doctor and the staff is always nice. As long as you remember it is not a fast-food and you are going to see a Doctor and allow some time for the appointment, you are fine. This stands true for any doctor's office. Came down here to get a pair of prescription glasses that were purchased here for a simple fixed. And right off the door, they were so rude. They didn't even look at us to say hello we said hello they didn't even look to acknowledge that we were there when you finally do get looked at, she immediately said we we cannot help you very rude. I found out that it's not the first time. She is rude that she's been very rude on the regular and the fact that you can purchase glasses but there's no repair at all. No options not through insurance or private or anything that's insane. I would recommend that you find a different place to take your Business because you definitely want to go somewhere who's going to take you take care of you for long-term. If your glasses break they help you fix them send them out for repair. Tell you about warrantees not just completely dismiss you and tell you that they cannot help you completely rude if you're black or brown, don't even bother.... read more

Fast, friendly and clean. Dr Steve and his staff did a great job of making me assured during these still crazy Covid times. Social distancing, masks and sanitizer. Plus they were routinely cleaning the eye medical equipment. They do have you wait in the walkway but there's plenty of fresh air and space. Dr Steve took his time with the eye exam and did a quality job. Even identified a condition that didn't exist any more which makes contact lenses easier. And they have the newer retina testing equipment which allow them to take a picture of your eyes without the dilation. It was pretty slick after I kept my eyes open without blinking. They also have a lens machine in house so they can literally grind your prescription glasses right there in the facility. They have a large selection of glasses/frames as well. Even oakleys! If you have VSP vision insurance I would recommend coming here. They offer a variety of glasses to pick from. Not just vision glasses but also sun glasses ( you can get them with your prescription) The girls are nice and they helped me out right away. I didn't meet the doctor because I already had a vision exam done somewhere else. Overall, good service and I love that they have a well select variety of glasses. I absolutely love the staff and the doctors Always great customer service , getting an appointment is difficult because they are always busy but once again that just means that there are a lot of returning clients. I went into this office excited that an optometry practice had open near my house. I had an eye exam and ordered glasses. It was not until they had changed my card that they informed me that my glasses could take up to 28 days to make. We are now in day 21( working days) and no glasses as of yet. Just called today and they said maybe next week. Don't come here unless you need glasses made a month later. read more

I ordered a prescription sunglasses, I was told by the staff member that it would take up to six weeks for the order to come in. Later that day I went to Sam's Club. I found out they returned their glasses 10 to 12 days. I order a second pair and I got my glasses almost 15 days prior to this location. Since I use them for reading as well as distance, I learned that Sam's Club reading area of a glass is much wider, not limit to the inner corners as most optometry places have. My guess is they source the glasses out of the country and it takes much longer. I've never experienced this long of a wait and I been wearing glasses over 30 years. read more

I took my niece and nephew to get their eye exam and order their glasses that were cover by their insurance, the office lost the original order for the frames and claim we never placed the order for the frames I had to go back to their office and place the order again and had told me 4 to 5 weeks, I just called again to check on the status and now they are telling me 8 to 12 weeks. We have been waiting for 4 month now since we first came in. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone they are very unprofessional. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, I'm not one to complain because I have worked customer service and I understand what comes with it . Honestly this place is terrible, customer service is terrible. The only good thing about this place is the actual doctor. Unfortunately he has terrible employees who don't care about the people. I called about picking up my glasses and said I'd be there at 4:58pm and they told me they'd help me if it was before 5pm. I arrived at 4:58pm walked up to the door, and the black metal gates were already set and the doors were locked. I knocked and the females there did not look at me once and they knew standing there and I waited because it was not 5pm yet and they ignored me, then two minutes later when the clock hit 5pm they turned off the lights. First time going to get my vision checked and I'm sad to say I had a bad experience. Their website doesn't work for booking so you have to call. I got bad luck as there were many other patients the day I came. The eye exam itself was quick but nothing was explained. I should have asked questions but I didn't think there was anything wrong with my eyes. It takes 8 weeks minimum to get glasses which then have to be picked up at this site. They did give me a copy of some numbers which I used to buy different glasses online and I wow I really did have bad eyes, everything looks much better now. I think my biggest grip is there's no way to email, only phone call. I get one free vision exam every two years with my insurance but I don't think I'll be returning. read more

On a buy-one-get-the-second-pair-half-off deal I was told it would take 20 business days (so, a month - because my eyes don't take weekends off) to get the first pair, and a month and a half, for the second...after I presented my credit card. A month. To get a simple pair of eye glasses made? That can't possibly be the standard. Dentures, which are far more intricate, far more customized, and are fabricated from scratch, don't take half as long as that, to have made. WHAT is the hold-up? I handed the girl 2 pair of glasses asked for 1 pair to be sunglasses Nd the other regular glasses and I also asked for contacts. Apparently the girl only wrote down 1 pair of glasses and contacts Even though I handed her both and had an entire conversation on how to charge my insurance. I needed a new optometrist and started my research on the Internet. I wear glasses and I don't like to pay extra for a bunch of testing for contacts etc...when I am not going to even consider that product. I keep that in mind when asking about exams and what they consist of. I don't mind paying for what I NEED, but I don't want additional products or procedures to be pushed on me. Anaheim Optometry is in a central location (center was easy to find, get in and out of and has plenty of parking) plus they had great reviews here on YELP so I thought I would give them a try. I needed an appointment for myself and my daughter as well at the same time and they had no problem at all accommodating that request. The office staff was friendly, the office itself was organized, clean and comfortable. After signing in and filling out the quick paperwork for new patients, I only had to wait a few minutes and I was in. Dr. Previsich was great. He introduced himself and was very friendly and approachable. He explained everything about my exam and gave me my prescription no questions asked. My daughter went in after me and was done in about the same amount of time. I felt good about my appointment and I can say with confidence that I have found my new optometrist! read more

I gave Anaheim Optometry another try since they are a 3 minute drive from my home. Yes, the place can get a little crowded but that goes to show just how great the doctor is. This time, I was able to see the doctor, my wait time was no more than 15-20 minutes. The doctor is SO nice! He's very patient and made me feel very comfortable. He was honest about the possibility of me not having success with contact lenses but tested lenses with me to see what would work best. I am so thankful for Dr. Pervisich's patience and professionalism. By the way, not sure if the girls at the front desk are different from my initial review in 2006 but the service was a LOT better. read more

If you want a Dr. that cares and isn't money motivated then Dr. Steve and his friendly team are where you should go. I have shingles in my eye and been seeing him almost everyday for two weeks to get this under control and he hasn't charged me for all the follow ups. He even gave me his personal number in case I had issues over this last holiday weekend (Memorial Day) and ask me to at least text him with how I'm doing.
