It's been over two months since I paid for an eye exam and two pairs of glasses, and I still don't have a working pair of glasses. I had my appointment around March 15. I took a standard eye exam, the doctor seemed nice, and ordered 2 pairs of glasses and paid in full. I had one pair rush shipped, which cost an extra $40, and picked it up the next day. Something was off with my vision with the glasses on, but I figured it was my eyes getting used to the new glasses. The issues persisted but I couldn't figure out what was wrong, and I waited until they called me for the second pair of glasses. When I picked up the second pair of glasses, the same vision problems were on this pair as well but it was much more pronounced. I told the lady who was gave me the glasses that it was crooked, like this pair was literally slanted so that the left side was higher than the right side. She acknowledged the pair was crooked, told me to wait outside, and that she'll take care of it. I did as I was asked and after some time she called me back in and said she did something to the glasses to fix it. I can't remember exactly what she said but it sounded like she used some tools to manually fix the glasses herself. I was skeptical but the glasses did fit better. However, the vision issues still remained. Both pairs were still blurry, but not outright blurry; I still couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong and I brought it up with the lady in the front and her solution was that she will adjust the nose pads on the glasses. It really didn't make it better and she seemed annoyed that I was not just going away. I wanted to see the doctor, but she informed me I'd have to schedule an appointment as it was late in the day. However, an appointment was not available for a week so I decided to come in the next day as a walk-in. That night, I fiddled around with the glasses to figure out exactly what was wrong, and after some time I figured out that the right lens was blurry when the glasses were resting on my nose, but if I held it away from my face at a distance it became clear. Next morning I come in, wait 40 minutes or so and the doctor is able to see me. He listened to my concerns, tested the glasses, and confirmed that they were the prescription he gave me. Then he re-tested me and confirmed that the results of the first test were off, so I had the wrong prescription for about a month at this point. These were my only glasses and I had been having headaches because the right side of my vision was weird. Also my vision without my glasses have been blurry. I had perfect short-sight vision when reading books without glasses, but after wearing these for a while looking at words on paper became blurry and I had to squint to read books. Apparently according to google, these side-effects won't cause permanent damage but it is certainly annoying (imagine your vision being SLIGHTLY blurry and giving you constant mild headache). Anyways, the doctor agreed to re-do the lens for my glasses and let me keep the blurry pairs for the time being. Three weeks went by and I called them to see if the new glasses were in (head aches the entire time) and they said yes and they called me two days ago to let me know. Of course I check my phone history, and no missed calls. Anyways that brings us to today, May 13 2021. I went in to finally pick up my new glasses that I paid for two months ago, with hope that these headaches will go away. I went in, waited the standard 40 minutes, and when I tried on the new pair I knew something was wrong immediately. I tried to read the writing on a piece of paper nearby and it was the same problem. The right lens was blurry, and if I held it at a distance it would become clear. I told her this pair had the same issues as before, and she legit tried to say "oh you didn't pay for new lenses on this pair, only the other pair" I had to correct had and say that there was a doctor error on the first test so he was replacing both pairs for me. Then she fiddled with some papers then agreed with me and told me to wait outside again. So after waiting outside for what seemed like another 40 minutes, she called me back in and told me that they switched the "Sphere" and "Cylinder" measurements on the prescription and I had to wait until they call me again. Not once did she apologize on behalf of the business for repeatedly making mistakes but seemed more annoyed that I wasn't going away. At this point, I'm done trying to get proper glasses from this place, I expect the new pair to be "wrong" and don't want my day ruined dealing with the rude front staff. Paid over $450 two months ago, and all I got were literal headaches. read more

I have been coming to Dr. Previsich for a number of years for my annual exams & prescriptions. The staff is always nice, they get me in & out. A couple of years ago I developed a horrible redness & burning sensation in my eyes and I came right in. It was close to the end of the day and the doctor took me right in. As it turned out I had developed an allergy to the cleaning solution I use for my contacts. What an improvement ever since. So grateful. read more

The doctors there are great, but most of the girls in the office couldn't care less about you. On top of that I purchased a pair of glasses that should have arrived between 4-7 business days and when I called them wondering if they have arrived and they just forgot to call me, they told me they were just ordered, 4 weeks after I had the appointment. And now since they were ordered at the beginning of spring break they're telling me that it'll take another week before they get there. On top of that, the pair of glasses my insurance covers, I was quoted 4-6 weeks, after I call to check, they're quoting me 7-10 weeks. Honestly not worth your time, find a better optometry, if I were quoted the right amount of time from the beginning I would have just found a place that could get me my glasses faster. No reason your glasses should take more than a month to get to you. read more

The optometrist was pleasant. I have been to various optometrists throughout the years. I assume that his prices are low, because he is able to get you in and out fairly fast, but I did not feel like I had a thorough examination. If you are just looking for a quick renewal of your prescription, you probably want to come here, but if you want an extensive exam to make sure you are not having any eye condition then keep on looking. Generally, an optometrist will put drops in your eyes to look at your pupils, and they have you wait for 20 minutes or so. No drops were used on my eyes, even though it was my first visit. I was also not given the color blind test, where they ask to see some image and say what you see. I also was not told to follow the optometrist's finger/pen to make sure that my eyes could follow. I can see why people say that the receptionists are rude. They are not rude, just not friendly. They don't welcome you or smile at you. Customer services generally requires a person to be peppy, and I don't think these ladies can be peppy, just not their style. Also, people probably assume that they are rude, because the receptionists do not help you with finding a pair of glasses or with contact inserting, but that is not the job of the receptionist. It seems like they are understaffed. They probably need to hire someone to help people with their fitting and to show them how to insert contacts, but then the price might go up, and they might have to limit what insurance they can take. I did read another review of someone complaining about the price of the contacts, and how they were so much more expensive than at Wal-Mart. All I can say is you live and learn. Anyone that has ever had contacts knows that your optometrist RARELY will give you contacts cheaper then Costco, Wal-Mart, or Walgreens. You just make sure that they will give you your prescription before you leave, so you can order somewhere else. read more

It was time for my eye exam and to get some new spectacles so I did some pricing research online and called around and chose to come here. The staff was informative, helpful and pleasant. I also only paid $39 for my eye exam (coupon). They were fast and efficient. I left really satisfied with my exam experience. Dr. Previsich was attentive and nice. After my exam was over, I requested my prescription and they wrote it out for me with no hassle and pressure so I could choose to purchase my frames somewhere else. I did end up purchasing my frames from another supplier (SEE Eyewear). A lot of people will choose to do this and I really, really made a mistake. If I had known now what my two experiences would be like I would have done the whole process through Anaheim Optometry. When I was waiting I did look at some of the frames at Anaheim Optometry and they had designer brands and nice options. After a month of dealing with SEE Eyewear I finally received my frames and they were going to charge me $180 for my PX lenses and anti-glare reflective coating. I called back over to Anaheim Optometry explained my situation and they said bring the frames in and they charge $90 for PX lenses and anti-glare coating. I couldn't believe how great of a price that was in comparison and how easy it was for other places to really swindle you out of your money. I brought in my frames, they sent them off to their lab and I got my glasses back in 4 days. I am really thankful for having discovered Anaheim Optometry, they really, really helped me out and didn't even know it. The whole experience with them was great. read more

I am a single mom on a budget and thought I would treat myself to contacts with my tax return. I searched high and low until I found what I thought was a killer deal. I found a coupon in the pennysaver that said I could get my eye exam for lenses and contacts for $69. Now that is a good deal, but as always there is a catch... $50 for a box of contacts!! So, I am actually paying $169 for my contacts and exam. They really marked up the contacts. I found I could get my contacts from Wal-mart for $27...I ended up paying $89 for the exam because I did not purchase my contact from them. In addition to the high price and crappy deal... The service was dog s**t. I never had contacts and did not know how to care for them. All they did was did was show me how to put them in. I didn't know to change the solution in the case daily, I didn't know how to tell when to change them, I didn't know that protein builds up on the lenses. The receptionist are not helpful. And I asked them to fax my prescription to me twice...never received. THIS PLACE SUCKS. I'll go to Wal-mart from now on. read more

I hate putting bad reviews. The doc is nice but the staff is so disorganized. They dont recall what I ordered twice in a row. They called me to say the order was in and they have no idea why I'm here. My prescription was bad hence why I am back. Again the dr is nice but the place needs to be more organized. Waiting for why they called me for and being told me they have no idea whh That is bad. Of course I let them know. I need my contacts. I will go back to my regular doc or costco. I've been seeing, or should i say not seeing?, Dr. Previsich for over a decade now. Way back to hi Walmart Vision Center days. He's great. He suggested I try hard contacts because they would help w/ my astigmatism, and I've been wearing for close 8+ years now. I'm frugal and love them because i can continue to use one pair for several years. So I only see the Doc every couple of years... I recently was playing Marco Polo, I am hard core, they didn't get me but I lost both my contacts in the pool. My eyesight is pretty bad and any glasses or contacts require at least a week to produce. I had my Buddy Holly specs (Side note: I hate that being a nerd is cool now, I've been a nerd my entire life), no problem, right? Wrong. I was leaving for the river in a couple of days. I needed to wear sunglasses. Luckily Dr. P was able to provide me with some soft temps. He absolutely saved my vacation. Or least that part, I was vacationing with the in-laws..... read more

I went to this office in 2020, it was the last 2- 3 last months of the year. It was on a Saturday, a lady Dr. the experience was very nice the girls were very friendly, nice and polite. My experience was very good. After 2 months, I called the office and was told " that they were being Process"? I had a pair of new frames and wanted to see if I could use them. The manager" Ana" had spoken to my Husband !! 1. She confused me with another patient, 2. had the wrong paper work, 3. now it was my husbands fault, When got to talk to her, I explained what i had been told before, Her respond was " They are not ready. "I said what do mean? I was told differently. Being "Process " and they are not ready is different, I told Her that I was going to google it! That really trigger her Anger and position and responded to me that i was being Rude and that she was going to have to Disconnect the call! Not Professional at all and a NARCISSISM who takes advantage of her position to Insult, lied, and still have the "Audacity of being "Right". I was just here today for the first time in over a year. Just like every other time the Doctor is very friendly he explains everything very well. I did not have to ask him for additional lenses. He just gave me extra ones with a solution as well as well as let me try on and keep some colored ones. With the Yelp deal there is not better place to go to. My experience here has always been positive. The doctor takes notes on what you guys talk about and brings them up to you the next time he sees you. The girls are also very helpful too. The only reason I would not give it a full 5 stars is because the contacts exam and contacts can be found for less somewhere elsewhere. contacts can be found online for much less. that's not fair though. read more

Walk-ins are accepted. It doesn't take long for them to take you in. Very friendly staff. They remind you when you're up for an eye exam. Being a busy mom and all, I don't really have my time as organized as I would like. I was looking for a new optometrist and searching on line, I read the review and found out about this place. All good reviews that made me went there. The doctor was very nice, but the receptionists were not happy to be there and were not helpful. I felt uncomfortable when i was there. I thought I was too skeptical but turned out my husband had the same feeling about these two women. I guess they're so busy that cannot be helpful but we are happy with our glassess. 2/25/12 The office called me back to refund an extra charged on my credit card when they dicovered that was under insurance coverage. Today I did a walk in because my eyes got an allergic reaction to eyelash extensions (price of beauty). I never visit optometrists because overall I have very good eyes, so I called different places and decided to come here not only because the Ana who assisted me over the phone was very nice, but because their price is reasonable. My experience was awesome. Doctor was so nice and caring, he took the time to explain what had happened to my eyes, prescribed me medication and out the door I was. I cannot believe this place!! They dilated my pupils and allowed me to drive home while having blurry vision. They didn't tell me when this will go away.
