I went here because it was near my house and they had some good Yelp reviews. I used their Yelp offer of $75 for $50. I got there at my appointment time and did not have to wait very long to see Dr. Previsich (which is a huge bonus...I hate waiting). The exam went very quick and the doctor was professional and got me out of there quickly. Plus they didn't give me a bunch of grief for asking for a prescription so I can order online. I was referred here through a friend and was told when I made my appointment that it would be $130 for eye exam for glasses and contacts plus a pair of frames. The optometrist was perfectly fine, very professional and friendly. The opticians on the other hand were a different story. After my exam I was asked to select a pair of frames. So I did. I opted against ordering contacts right away because I was trying a new style and wanted to make sure I liked them before I bought them. They rung my order for glasses and I opted for the best lenses, a $90 upgrade. Suddenly, my total was $378!!! I figured my frames were not included in the deal, but since I was never given any invoice, I couldn't be sure why I was charged so much more than what I came there for. Truth be told, ill pay whatever more for better frames. But, I am really disappointed that I wasn't informed or ever given an option to choose from the frames included in the promo, and the fact that I wasn't provided any invoice was just plain unprofessional. When I returned to pick up my new glasses, I did ask about the extra charge. And the girl rattled off the additional charges. And again, I got what I wanted, so the price wasn't really the issue, it was it being informed of what was or was to included, and to being provided a summary of charges. As it turned out, the frames were an additional $175. The upgraded lenses were $145, with other hidden charges because of the frame type (semi frameless). Again, not complaining about the fact I received these charges, they are all fair. My complaint is that after the fact, I feel like I was being pawned since I wasn't given any outline of charges or shown any of the frames that were included in the price of the exam package. In fact, I didn't get an invoice when I complained about it either! Not even a receipt from my credit card. read more

I walked in to the office and saw many choices for the glasses. I went in about 20 mins before my appointment and the ladies at the front desk were very nice. I waited till my appointment time at 1115 and the dr took me in on time. They have many places to sit while waiting. The dr had given me some interesting fun facts and information about nearsighted and farsighted differences. I loved that he took the time to tell me that. He was very thorough with all the testing. This place is AWESOME!!! The Optometrist, Dr. Previsich, is really good and cool!! The staff is not unorganized, they are just really busy, if they are not answering phones, they are welcoming patients in, doing exams, dealing with patients that are there, ordering glasses/contacts for patients, calling patients to let them know their stuff came in, getting and giving patients their stuff when they are there to pick up their stuff, and they even send you an email for your birthday!! But overall the staff in nice and extremely helpful!!! Their prices are reasonable and they gave a great selection of different of brands and for children as well!! They also have Oakley glasses!!!! My best friend recommended Anaheim Optometry to me and I'm so glad I listened. I called on a Friday afternoon to get a Saturday morning appointment, which I was able to get. Once Saturday came, I had something come up and was on a time crunch. I ended up walking in at 9am, my appointment was for 10:45. I explained my situation and the girls at the front desk were very nice and said that it was no problem. I was taken back shortly after the other patients waiting before me. I never felt rushed by staff or the doctor. Doctor was very kind and my exam wasn't rushed. I explained to him that I needed new contacts badly and it had been years since my last exam. He made sure my new prescription was the best for me. On my way out he even gave me a pair of trial contacts with my new rx while I waited for my new ones to come in (3-5 business days), as well as a sample bottle of contact solution! The nice front desk assistant even gave me my contact rx and glasses rx in case I ever wanted to get glasses as well. Last, while I was there my best friend who recommended this place to me had contacts waiting for pick up. The staff allowed me to pick them up on her behalf with no trouble at all. I will definitely be back for all my future eye exams and contact needs! Very happy! read more

To be fair: I have no issues with the doctor. He seems very professional and I have great vision though my new glasses (once I got them). His staff, however, leaves something to be desired. When I enter the store, they have barely even looked up or acknowledged me on the 3 times I have been into the store. They simply continue their conversations till I approach them and make me wait till they finish helping me. I am not sure they know what they are doing. They certainly never offered to help me find frames that match my face. When I asked them about proper fitting, they seemed to have no idea what I even meant. In addition to the staff the store doesn't have a good selection and what they do have is disorganized. They don't even have catalogs of other frames they can order. Once I chose a pair and assumed the default fit would suffice (I would have left but I had already had my appt). They took *much* longer to get me the glasses than they originally said and never called me to inform me of the delay. Any one of these things I would have over looked, but they seem to have a culture of casual disregard for their customers. From the reviews on Yelp I choose this optometrist but I wish I had gone with one of the other highly rated ones because I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism of the staff. read more

Kid Friendly My daughter Melenie, my husband and I all need glasses. It's a life saver to be able to walk into his office and know that he will be the courteous, patient doctor with my daughter as he is with me. I am thankful to the front office staff for all their help. They love to spend time with my daughter picking out frames. My daughter is a chatty little kid with an awesome personality. It's nice to know that the front office staff takes the time to help my daughter pick out her glasses! On top of that we didn't have to wait too long for her glasses. I was in need to seeing an Optometrist badly as my current glasses were scratched up & needed new glasses anyway. Everytime I tried to make an appointment with my Optometrist, he was always busy & seemed extremely difficult making an appointment just to get seen. Then it was approaching the end of the year & needed to be seen so I wouldn't loose my vision benefits from my insurance. I mentioned my situation to a friend/co-worker & told me of Anaheim Optometry & how good it was. I was a little apprehensive, but gave it a chance. I called to make an appointment & they were willing to take me which I greatly appreciated BUT they also offered Walk-In hours. I opted to go in through their walk-in times. First off the staff is extremely helpful & knowledgeable which I appreciated. Even though they were extremely busy during the walk-in time when I went & was told it could take 45min. to an hour; they were quick and Dr. Steven Previsich was good in taking his time examining my eyes. Then they also had a wide selection of brand glassware which I appreciated. So I was able to be seen & get my glasses all at once & before my benefits for the year expired. I am more than pleased with both the service and prices of Anaheim Optometry. I have been to Dr. P since he was practicing at his Walmart location. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I can call in and ask questions and the front office is always willing to help no matter how small or complicated the question is. I am a single mother on a budge and find their pricing more than reasonable. I am an insurance patient, with coverage of frames and glasses and always more than happy to pay the little extra to get the frames I want. I have found it very challenging since they have such a variety of frames available. They are all just so cute :-)! I have recommended their services to family members and friends. I was a fan of Dr. Previsich when he practiced at Wal-Mart a very long time ago. Going to Wal-Mart was such a hassle; I am so glad he is at Anaheim Optometry! He is very professional and friendly. Every once in a great while another doctor will cover for him, but they are just as nice. The contact exam is less expensive than my insurance provider (Kaiser) especially if I can grab an online coupon. So I go to Dr. Previsich for the contact exam and buy my contacts from Costco. You just have to ask for a copy of your prescription before you leave. They do not pressure you to buy contacts or frames there. I would have given Anaheim Optometry 5 stars, but SOMETIMES the office staff can be a little aloof and the facility could use a bit of a face lift. I recommend getting an appointment as early as possible because the office gets very busy and a bit crowded. read more

I am sure it must be difficult to deal with the amount of "patient traffic" that I see in that office each time I am there. I have been to this optometry before with no issues and Dr. P is soooo nice, however, he really needs to teach customer service to his freshly out of HS frond desk little girls with attitudes. I got out of work on Friday and decided to call to see if I can do a walk-in, the time was exactly 12pm (noon) and a young girl answers and tells me, "Walk-ins are only until 12:30pm...so see if you can make it before then" I tell her, "ok....i'll see if I can make it!". So I get there and there is this little, "mad at the world" looking girl with glasses who says to me, "No more walk-ins...it's over at 12pm" and I tell her, "Well, someone said i could" and she replies, "nope" I told her, "then why waste my time and effort to come out here? I was told 12:30pm and it's 12:20pm" She just shrugged her shoulders......SCREW this place! Unless the doctor spends a little more money than $13/hr on these little HS girls, and gets professional help, I won't be going back! And I referred someone there, too! I regret it! read more
