Ordered cookies for a coworkers last night but the 2nd party delivery service (not insomnia cookies) through Yelp messed up, looked like they delivered to a private residence a few doors away on the delivery app. I contacted insomnia cookies as I didn't have the driver contact info and they said they'd contact door dash for me, Yelp delivery didn't specify who the delivery service was when I ordered. I later found out it was actually grub hub by a text message and I contacted them. Insomnia cookies had the original charge cancelled and remade and delivered my order. I believe the original Order was located and redelivered or dropped off by the person they were mistakenly sent to as Several boxes arrived with my name on them. The cookies were moist, warm, and everyone raved about them! It was a wonderful way to say goodbye to an excellent nurse. A huge thank you to the staff at insomnia cookies for assisting with and rectifying a second party delivery issue (from now on we will exclusively use delivery from you only). For a limited time, Insomnia Cookies offered a Fruity Cereal 'N Milk Filled Classic cookie. This is a brown sugar cookie and fruity cereal pieces filled with cereal milk buttercream. It was a very yummy cookie and not overly sweet. Insomnia Cookies are always so warm, soft, and fluffy. I can't wait to see what other flavors they come up with. We ordered the deluxe 6 cookie box. The cashier continuously told us we had ordered 7 cookies. We had her read them back to us about 5x and she made a mistake each time. FOR SIX COOKIES. Then we added an additional two cookies from the regular menu. Thankfully checked the box before we drove off. We had FIVE deluxe cookies in the box. Plus the two smaller cookies. I brought in the box and my receipt although I had literally left a minute earlier and no other customers in there. I opened the box for her and clearly there was a space for a large deluxe cookie. She said oh I'm sorry and gave me the cookie that was missing in an individual wrapping. Or so I thought. Opened up the wrapper at home. Small cookie in there. Stopped in this cute little cookie place while walking around Thayer Street. They have a great selection of cookie flavors that come in two sizes. They also have various brownie choices, as well as a great selection of ice cream. I chose the larger size cookie and purchased a peanut butter cup flavor as well as s'mores. They are then warmed up and placed in a box. I took one bite, and it was so warm and soft, really the perfect cookie. Definitely stop in for a great treat, you won't be disappointed. read more

Came here around 11 but didn't realize this location closed at 12pm so they were out of quite a few things I wanted to try- such as the icing to dip the cookies in, but they were out. They were also out of quite a few cookies as well. I got the mix and match cookie 6 0/,@ and for $16.95 + tax - I felt it was a bit steep. Don't get me wrong the cookies are pretty delicious but they should have more then 6- such as red velvet, etc. Definitely good so surprised with so many of the negative reviews! Fascinated reading the reviews--it looks like people enjoy this business, but don't leave reviews, until they have an issue with delivery or they go in and aren't acknowledged or the store is out of some flavors. The chocolate chip cookies, double chocolate cookies, and oatmeal raisin cookies are usually baked reasonably well, while the sugar cookies, birthday cake cookies, and snickerdoodles are consistently overbaked. Considering the relatively high price, you're better off at a real bakery like Pastiche, baking cookies from scratch using a site like allrecipes, or even buying and baking a tube of dough from the supermarket. The strongest selling points for Insomnia are probably the icing dips and the ice cream sandwiches, but these are better elsewhere as well. read more

I love insomnia's stuff and have been a customer for years in Providence and NYC, but today I was taken aback. As I walked in, the cashier sneezed on their left hand, but didn't wash it. He asked me what I wanted and I placed my order, but still had not washed his hands. When I asked him to wash his hands he looked at me like I had 3 heads and I said "I literally just saw you sneeze on your hand man". So he gave me a dirty look, proceeded to wash his hands using no soap while looking agitated, and served me my order. I'm pretty forgiving - really I am - but this really is so unacceptable that I created a yelp account just to post this review. The cookies are fine, typical Insomnia Cookies. The employees are horrible. The girl at the register didn't greet us, didn't thank us, didn't ask what we wanted. All she said was "I'm ready." I have given this place many chances, and they never seem to get it right. If it weren't for how much I love their cookies, I wouldn't have given it so many chances. Once, we placed an order for delivery, waited for an hour, contacted both the store directly and the customer service line, and were told repeatedly that the order had been delivered. The ice cream flavors were bland, you knew what flavor they were but it just didn't have the kick and wow that I wanted. And their cookies.. The snickerdoodle was so sad, it didnt have enough cinnamon, they might as well call that a sugar cookie.. The M&M cookies, had it not been for the M&Ms, the cookies wouldn't really have a taste, lastly the double chocolate chip cookies, probably the only thing I liked from their menu. First of all, workers didn't greet us at all when we walked in and ignored us for a while as we stood there confused. Then they barely had the attention span to take our order which was only 4 cookies. We came at like 7pm and they were sold out of a huge list of stuff already. Then when I got home, I noticed they didn't label or package my gluten free/vegan cookie separately from all the other regular cookies we ordered so I had no idea between multiple chocolate chip cookies which was the allergy friendly one, which ruined my night because I am currently a very hormonal and emotional human that just wanted a delicious warm cookie on a really cold night. For the cookies to be that expensive and for such a popular place that is so concerned with dietary restriction options, they should be way more attentive. This is what makes me so upset when I go out to eat... I almost never do because restaurants don't care about people with actually health concerns. Very upset tonight. I came to this store and was greeting by a a very rude employee who gave me and my friend attitude. After leaving, I was so excited to go home and eat my m&m cookie when I took a bite and it was a raisin oatmeal cookie! Not only was this disappointing, it was also dangerous, imagine if I had an allergy? Clearly they need to hire new staff, and also clean the store, since there were roaches and rats crawling everywhere. I'm giving 2 stars because I haven't tried the cookies yet - otherwise it would be 1. I'm trying to be fair but the customer service was so terrible I am writing this from my car. I ordered online and when I got there the store was dark and looked closed. There was a handwritten note that said something about being closed for a few hours. But I already paid so I stood outside looking to get someone to come to the door and let me know if my order was canceled or not. The guy finally came and asked if I ordered online. I said yes and gave him my name. After a few minutes he came back with my order. This was my first time so I wasn't familiar with their packaging. I asked a simple question about the number of cookies and ice-cream. He was very annoyed and condescending. I ignored that and asked 1 more question. He answered in a very rude way. I walked away and said "wow, so pleasant." He then started to bark at me through the door. I couldn't make it out but I'm sure he cursed at me. I'm sure he was having a bad day but I don't care how good these treats are, with that kind of customer service - especially on my first visit- I will take my business elsewhere. What a shame, because my husband and I love eating out and supporting our local restaurants. I sure hope the owner knows how his staff treats his customers. First things first: I love their cookies but tonight's customer service experience was horrible. I ordered the cookie sandwich . Two cookies with ice cream in the middle . I told the rude girl up front that I wanted both with sugar cookies and an additional salted caramel cookie on the side . Seems easy right ? She rang me up with something completely different which was a salted Caramel cookie sandwich. I tried to correct her while she was ringing up it . Instead she said " I know " , so I like it alone . She proceeded to make the order which was wrong although I tried numerous times to correct her . Finally she handed me the order and I said " I was telling you it was sugar cookies ", she said " no you said salted caramel". If she were to actually listen to me then she wouldn't have made the order wrong . Instead of apologizing , she proceeded to mumble under the breathe to the other girl she worked with and had a stank attitude .
