I was skeptical when my 'Cuse student suggested Inka's. We were able to make an early reservation and WOW was it fantastic. The restaurant has a warm, inviting feeling and decor. The wait staff were all lovely, and our waitress was patient answering questions and explaining details of some of their dishes. We had difficulty deciding what to order as so many things looks phenomenal. We landed on the Aji De Gallina (shredded chicken in a creamy mild Amarillo sauce with white rice) and the Arroz Chauta with chicken. (Fried rice with fire grilled chicken) Lip smacking loveliness!! We did not have alcohol and the price was much less than expected with the quality of our meal. We will absolutely go back.
I was coming to Syracuse for a short trip for my birthday to see a concert. While perusing places to eat, we noticed that Inkas cuisine was Peruvian/Japanese, and upon further inspection, I noticed they had one of my favorite dishes ever on the menu (lomo saltado). That sealed the deal. We had reservations for 7pm on a Monday, and even though the restaurant was full, we were seated right away at a cute high top table. Our server was busy taking care of what looked like the entire bar area but she was on top of everything and did an amazing job. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience and would highly recommend checking this place out!
Amazing place! We loved it here. We were looking for a dinner spot. Drove by, saw people on the patio, and we decided to try it out. Everything I had was amazing. I tried the iced tea, salmon, filet, sweet potatoes, asparagus, fennel and ordered a latte. All of the food I tried was incredible and fresh. I can't wait to come back here. I'm glad this spot is in Syracuse!
Had reservations for Valentines Day. We were seated promptly as we arrived. We had the ceviche special and some sort of potato appetizer to start. I very much enjoyed the ceviche and it was a large portion. My partner seemed to like the potatoes. I had the whole fish special. An interesting experience to say the least. No idea what kind of fish it was but it tasted good. Do not order this trying to look cool or attractive. This is a messy experience- not for a first date. My partner had a vegetarian entree, something with mushrooms. She enjoyed it. We had a total of 3 mocktails as well. Bill was almost 200 dollars. Steep for no booze and one person ordering all vegetarian. Take that into consideration when planning a night out as th drink menu looked great so you're destined to go above that if you booze. The tables were very close to each other and the dining room was loud. Not romantic in my opinion. Food was pretty good, rest of the stuff could use a little work.
We enjoyed our dinner on 6/11/26. Service is always stellar and the ambiance feels like we are in Peru! I enjoyed the Mango Ceviche for my entree, with a side of tacu tacu (a flavorful mixture of rice and seasonings). To end the meal, I had flan. It was a healthy portion; one bite missing in the picture, with a lovely garnish of fresh fruit.
Packed for a Thursday night totally didn't expect that.... We had the chicken fried rice , shrimp risotto and flan along with coffee. Everything was excellent. Will certainly come back when in town. The bathrooms are neat and ambiance is nice in the restaurant. We were lucky to find free parking .
When I read the Peruvian chef Flavio Solórzano to whom I follow in Instagram, designed the menu , which incorporates Peruvian and Japanese influences, I immediately bookmarked Inka's on my "to go list". Every time I have been to Syracuse since this restaurant opened in November 2024, I hald to dine at Inka's . We loved so much the yuca croquettes with the yellow sauce. The salmon with the lucuma sweet potato puree is totally a solid dish, I had it the 2 times I visited this restaurant. My daughter's favorite dish was the Ají de gallina which is a traditional Peruvian dish, this dish is definitely a must try. This restaurant is located in the middle of downtown Syracuse. It is so beautiful and spacious, there is a cute second level where I would like to be seated next time I go ! The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and kind. The bus boys were very attentive. Street parking.
I would give this 4.5 stars. It was a very good place We wanted to try something new in Syracuse, and a couple of people we trust recommended Inka's. My wife and I went and really enjoyed the food and drink. It is a large space with two sides. One side is tables only. It is separated from the second room, which has a few tables and a very nicely appointed bar. We were seated promptly. Our server introduced himself and was excellent throughout the entire meal. We started with Pisco Sours, which were very well made. It was smooth and had an excellent balance of sweet and citrus. We ordered the fried squid and a potato dish as appetizers. The squid was very good. It had an excellent coating that had lots of flavor and had a nice crunch. That was refreshing, as most fried squid that we have had is a bit soggy. The potato dish was OK, but nothing special. We each got an entree, and they were the stars of the experience. My wife had a short rib dish. It was so flavorful! The meat was fork-tender as well. It is something I would recommend. I ordered the lobster ravioli. I have had this dish at many Italian places, and I believe this ranks amongst the best. The sauce was excellent, and the ravioli were cooked perfectly. The lobster was plentiful and tasted great. We enjoyed the restaurant immensely. I would definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Inka's is a wonderful restaurant that seems to hit all the marks.... Ambience, service and food. We arrived early for a Saturday lunch and we're promptly seated. The restaurant filled up quickly but service stayed at the same high level. We started with Croquetas de Yucca....creamy and perfectly fried yucca balls served with a slightly spicy sauce. We finished them all. My friend had the Pollo a la Brasa - 1/2 chicken marinated in Peruvian spices and slow roasted - it was perfection. It was served with fries and a salad. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the fries were crispy and the salad was fresh. I had the Salmon with orange butter, grilled asparagus and sweet potato puree. The salmon was cooked perfectly....moist and buttery inside. We finished by splitting a Tres Leches cake....it was moist and sweet.
Had a great impromptu dinner at Inka's! Sat at the bar because the whole place was packed on a Saturday night. The service was excellent from the start and the bartenders put on a show shaking and mixing the specialty cocktails all evening. Loved the sparkling Chicatini with coconut and passionfruit flavors and also tried a bourbon old fashion which was Smokey and delicious. For dinner we shared the Arroz Chaufa fried rice dish with large shrimp and it was very mild with a tangy sweet and sour sauce that added a lot of flavor. Would like to see a choice of a hotter sauce for variety and punch. We also shared the Pulpo A La Parrilla - grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked and had a delicious smoky flavor. We shared the flan and praline dessert with homemade ice cream which were both so sweet, and creamy. Inka's ambiance and decor is the best in CNY. Can't wait to come back!
On a recent Friday night before a showing of Hamilton at the Landmark Theatre (amazing) we decided to try out Inka's finally. We had seen it appear in a space that had gone through a few different names over the years and wondered how it would be. Admittedly I wasn't familiar with Peruvian cuisine when we walked through the doors but based on what I saw and smelled, I knew I was in for a treat. Service was impeccable. Our Cuban waiter alternated between speaking English and Spanish based on what table he was working and did a nice job of complimenting our selections when he gave us his attention. I tried a traditional Pisco Sour cocktail. Delicious. I got a bit adventurous and tried some ceviche - not for me but the others loved it. For dinner, we shared the filet and the braised beef entrees. The braised beef was amazing. The steak was good but nothing earth shattering. For dessert I shared the alfajor- a cookie dish with some caramel cream - very rich and a nice way to end the meal. The server stayed on top of our timing needs and got us out the door in time for opening curtain. We all remarked we'd be back!
Date night at Inka's. Totally skipped the appetizers because they were as expensive as the entrees, and the entrees start at $$18. I ordered the eggplant à la Brasa, my date, the pollo à la brasa. We also had a side of platanos dulce frito, sweet plantains with a citrus flavor. Truly the best maduros I ever had. However, my eggplant proved to be inedible because it was WAY undercooked. The fork couldn't penetrate it nor the knife cut it. I was able to get a sample taste of the quinoa stuffing on top before asking my waitress to swap out the eggplant for the cauliflower à la brasa. The quinoa was really good too. After getting the cauliflower, I was blown away with the complexity of flavors and the perfection of how well the cauliflower was made. Fully redeemed. My date had the aji y gallina; a chicken stew made with yellow chili peppers, crushed pecans, Parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs. Again, the complexity of the flavors made for great deliciousness. The ambience and service were what you would expect at a restaurant that costs greater than $100 for 2 before tax & tip. Inka's is somewhat expensive, but, it is equally as exceptional and delicious.
Beautiful place with a great vibe. Must make reservations. We were there on a Saturday night during dining week. We decided to order off the regular menu. Carlos was great and took care of us. Appetizers were fabulous! Had an Inka maki roll, which is a Peruvian/Japanese fusion, as well as ceviche mango over shrimp. This spicy mango sauce that was perfect. Both appetizers were hits with our party of three. For mains I had homemade fettuccine with a green sauce with grilled shrimp. The Creamy sauce with basil, spinach and garlic was delicious. We also had the Peruvian fried rice called arroz Chaufa. Loved this dish with crispy fried onions on top with a touch of orange pineapple flavor. We had yuca fries which were bland and the sauce didn't save them. For a main my husband ordered the grilled octopus which came with sauces and roasted potatoes. This dish was presented in an elevated platform which made it difficult to cut and eat. It was just okay. All of the mains contained generous portions. The menu is so different that we will return to further explore.
The service and atmosphere are the shining stars here. We went during the holiday season and it was absolutely gorgeous inside. The food was good. Portion size was great. The Ají de Gallinas actually has a misprint on the menu, as when I asked about the huancaína sauce, he said it didn't come on that. Odd. Nevertheless, it was yummy. The arroz chaufa was good, but nothing notable. read more
Our anniversary dinner is always the time we try to make sure we feel special and oh did Inka's deliver! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant every interaction with staff was delightful and the fun decor made you think you had gone on vacation! First we enjoyed their happy hour from 4-6 with an icy cold Fiddlehead and a creamy Chardonnay. All bartenders always checking on us as we enjoyed our conversation and the relaxing environment. Now on to dinner...... I always feel that service is the gold standard to judge a restaurant, because if it is attentive and engaging you can forgive culinary missteps. Let me introduce Leo who is by far in the top 5 of the best servers in CNY! From the moment we sat down he was engaging, knowledgeable and patient with our questions, and proud of his restaurant, not to mention we share many things in common....... He is a treasure and a true asset! Now the food.... Appetizer chosen was ceviche classica and the fish of the day fluke. Incredible light, and bright great choice but alas no picture we gobbled it down! Next the entree for two Arroz con Mariano's a delightful savory dish likened to a Spanish paella except I feel more flavorful and not as rich. The seafood consisted of octopus, squid, scallops, and shrimp each perfectly cooked! Kudos to the kitchen as that is usually tough to pull off. If that wasn't enough Leo made sure we enjoyed a complimentary dessert for our anniversary and let's say I'm not a dessert fan usually, but this changed my mind! Save room for the incredibly decadent Suspiro Caliente. This beautiful caramel cake is served warm with a meringue on top I would buy alone, and the side of rich vanilla bean ice cream in a chocolate cup was a perfect compliment. My husband ordered me an expresso martini which I am very particular about and it was creamy, toasty, and bold yet smooth. A hit! Leo checked in again and left us feeling very special! As we were slowly strolling to our car an employee came sprinting out to find us as we left our credit card. As I said service makes the restaurant and all around 10 out of 10 well done!! read more
First time visiting Inka's and I wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere is lovely, very cute decorations, seating and great ambiance. The bartender was great, definitely put quality time into making the drinks, making them worth the price. The service was great, even on a busy night. The food was very unique, tasty, and the serving sizes were good. read more
Inka's was top notch for ambiance, cocktails, and service were all exquisite. The food is Peruvian and for those with a more adventurous pallet. I had the Octopus appetizer on skewers that came with roasted potatoes, beans, and a spicy mustard type of sauce. That was good, some pieces cooked more than others, but still good. Texture not consistent. My friend ordered short rib that came in broth with some vegetables that is listed under entrees. The broth was fine, the short rib was tender but absolutely bland and tasteless. The large ear of corn was white with enormous kernels. It served as a distraction only! Needless to say that was returned, only picked at. A friend I ran into on our way to be seated ordered the same meal, and joked on SM about his $29 bowl off soup. Not passing as an entree. No bread is served with meal either. We both left pretty hungry. My friend was compensated without request for her meal, and was complimented a to go order She chose a chicken and rice entree. She mentioned later it was very good with the same spicy sauce that came with the octopus. The cocktails I had were presented with a flair and delightful. Our server was spot on and went out of his way to make sure our visit was exquisite! We were seated in the upper loft with a lovely view of the dining area and holiday decor. This was my birthday celebration and was presented with a birthday dessert that we shared. I believe that was complimentary as well. I would love to try some of their small plates next visit! We might be cocktail and appetizer clients at this venue. read more

The best meal I've had in a long time!! The cocktails, ceviche app and main entrees were flavorful and delicious! I had never had Peruvian food before, so I had lots of questions that our bartender and server patiently answered. The lobster risotto was probably the best risotto I've ever had! The octopus was a different choice for me but still very tasty. I am hoping to get back here soon. read more

Had been hearing a lot about this place since it opened and finally had to try it for myself! The ambiance inside is warm and inviting, and just a little bit fun. We were greeting immediately by the host and sat at our table (had made a reservation for prime dinner time) and then were presented with a food and drink list. Our server, Stephanie, took the time to walk us through the menu and highlighted some of her favorite dishes. I chose the Pisco Sour for my drink and was pleasantly surprised at how well-balanced it was (had to have another later with my dinner as well!). We each selected the Ceviche Clasico for our appetizers which was absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of heat. It was such a filling dish, I probably would have been satisfied with it as my entree. Nevertheless, the short rib in the cilantro sauce was excellent and a great way to round out our first Inka's experience. Thank you to Stephanie and the rest of the wait staff for a great evening! read more

Desserts & cocktail were from the visit in December - back in April, we tried the ceviche (I wish it was more finely chopped and appetizer-like) and meals of grilled octopus (so flavorful, even the veggies) and fall off the bone pork belly (love the rice and bean). Definitely think that the happy hour is the best deal and will be returning mostly for that. read more

Such a cool spot! The decor, ambiance, and somehow tasteful neon accents made this a really fun place for a birthday dinner! Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and all the other staff we encountered were friendly too. We each got a cocktail and entree, and split the skewers for an appetizer per the waiter's recommendation. We were happy with the quality and amount of food for our entrees, and we enjoyed getting to sample a cuisine and culture we aren't familiar with! read more

We came in from Maryland to visit family over the holidays. The restaurant itself is so beautifully decorated and ambience is very nice. The waitstaff were amazing as well. Our family all ordered different items. We all loved our meals. We left feeling so full and we couldn't stop talking for the rest of the night about this meal. My husband and I love traveling and this restaurant felt like it could be in a major city for how amazing the experience was. The Maricuya Pisco Sour and Pulpo a la Parilla were divine! But highly recommend the Salmón Con Mantequilla De Naranja, Arroz Chaufa (Seafood), Sweet Plantains, Panceta De Cerdo, Eggplant a La Brasa! Don't forget to get the Alfajor dessert-it's simply delicious. read more
The renovation of this space is amazing! Loved the new vibe and the music. I wasn't sure what to order but my friend & I shared the ceviche clasico. I don't normally like raw fish but this was so good. This was marinated in lime and very mild in flavor. It came with corn, onions, sweet potato and nuts. It was a great combination and plenty for 2 with leftovers. My choice was the arroz chaufa (seafood) my friend the pollo a la brasa. These were from the lunch menu (served 12-3). Both were delicious! The service was amazing. It was a very enjoyable lunch and I will be back. read more

Add this place to your list of growing hot spots in Syracuse. Great food, great ambience and great service. The octopus skewers are simply amazing and the sauces are a great compliment to the dish. If you're going to try the ceviche, make it spicy. That mix of citrus and spice makes this one of the best ceviches I've had. For the main course we had the Aji De Gallinas, Arroz Chaufa with chicken, Pollo a la brasa and the Lobster Risotto. Simply delicious. Oh and the Pisco sour is a must! Enjoy. read more

Wow! What an amazing dining experience. They really go all out with the ambiance which adds to the the whole experience. The server, Verona, was very friendly and made sure to make my birthday celebration extra special. The drink was delicious and my first time trying a pisco sour. They also had a delicious mocktail on the menu. We got a couple appetizers and everyone tried each other's meals and all the food was delectable. I will say it takes a bit longer to get some meals because they really take the care to prepare them properly and deliciously. read more

Really wanted to try a Peruvian restaurant, since I am half-Peruvian. I went here alone, with no date and other than the server asking if I'm waiting on anyone; i felt very welcomed and felt completely comfortable being there solo. It's a very good spot for a date or night out with the girls. I really like how they turned the inside of the building into a scenic pleasure. They really did a good job designing the interior. And the music was the perfect volume. You could easily have a conversation while still maintaining privacy with just your table. I ordered the ceviche Clasico, and of course it was amazing as always, I ate the entire plate, I think the server said the fish was SOL or SOLE? Either way, it was very close to flounder, almost identical in taste. I ordered the Seco plate, and wow! Fall off the bone perfect! I wasn't a huge fan of the beans and rice concoction they had, but the sauce... I may have to tell my dad your sauce is better than his!! I loved the sauce!! I also got Peruvian Old Fashion.. perfect touch! I think the first one I got sat too long, but the second one was on point! I would have gotten a 3rd, but I'm a lightweight. For dessert I tried the suspiro de limena, I've never heard of it (sadly). It was a nice size, I thought maybe small at first, but it was quite sweet, easily 2 person shareable. All in all, I'd definitely take my father here and have him try it out! If I'm back in town I'll be coming here for sure!! If you haven't had Peruvian food, you need to try this place, it was decently close to authentic even though it says fusion read more

I love Peruvian food so when my friend told me about this place after sampling some of their dishes at the taste of Syracuse event I immediately made us a reservation. I don't travel to Syracuse often but this was well worth it. There's plenty of street parking around the restaurant and if you don't feel comfortable with that there's a parking garage within walking distance. We were blown away by the decor when we came in from the beautiful ceilings, nice table settings, and floral touches at every corner. Our waitress Aymara was amazing! She was very patient with us, helped us with menu selections, and gave us updates throughout our meal on cook times and when to place our orders. The menu was detailed and labeled with GF, VEG, V, and NUTS by certain items. Their cocktail menu had tons to choose from and also had mocktails available which was great because my friend doesn't drink alcohol. I ordered the Vinicunca and it was the perfect balance of flavors and great for pictures. For an appetizer we got the Anticuchos with chicken and it was delicious. The sauce it came with made the dish even better with the perfect kick of spice. The entree dishes were much bigger than expected and we had plenty to take home. I ordered the Seco de Asado de Tira and it was some of the best short rib I've had in a while. The sauce it was in was incredible and it fell off the bone. By this time I was ready for a sweet treat and they have a great dessert menu. I was immediately intrigued by their Tres Leches del Día because I love tres leches and for them to have a different flavor every day sounded amazing! But I decided to go with the Tarta de Lima and it hit the spot. The perfect refreshing and citrusy flavor and great texture on the crust. If you love caramel you'll really enjoy the Suspiro Caliente because it was like a caramel molten lava cake with ice cream. Overall, this was a great dining experience and I'll definitely be back! read more

We had an incredible experience at Inka's in downtown Syracuse! I love the way this restaurant has breathed new life into the space it took over; it's beautiful inside. The ambiance feels very much like fine dining and it's the perfect spot to bring out of towners, have date night, or get drinks at the bar with friends. We had a reservation prior to going which is necessary if you don't want to wait for a table. The menu is condensed to a good size; enough selections to make a picky eater (me) feel at ease but definitely a lot of unique/exotic choices for the food extroverts of your group. We had a very difficult time choosing between appetizers and entrees, as there were so many appealing selections. We really enjoyed the drinks which were curated to give a cultural experience. Service was efficient and very friendly (thank you Carlos!), and our food tasted incredible. I really am so excited to go back and try the things I missed this time around. Feels like this will be the newest hot spot restaurant in downtown! Thank you for a great dining experience! read more

This was my first time at Inka's and I loved it. It's a beautifully decorated space. I had a Tequilla based cocktail and it was tasty and looked just as good (I've been disappointed lately at other local places with a basic lime being on every cocktail). The food was incredible. I only snapped a pic of my cocktail. And that is actually a sign of a good time with my friend and a delicious experience. I'm looking forward to coming back and soon. read more

Wow I was so impressed with this place! It's an awesome addition to our city. They've completely redone the inside and it looks great. Service was top notch. Everything we had was amazing. From the Pisco cocktail, grilled octopus appetizer, pork belly, short rib, flan dessert, and Parmesan risotto.... Couldn't have asked for better! You will definitely have food leftover to take home. The sauces and rice that came with the dishes were also delicious. I feel like these are sometimes overlooked. The only caveat I would say is asking for a side of one of their special sauces to add to the pork belly dish. The meat was perfectly tender, it just needed a little extra kick to it. read more

The service was exceptional but the food absolutely AMAZING!! We had the mango ceviche, kept trying to figure out how they marinated the fish hmmm but there was just enough tang with the hint of mango delicious. Also has the potato avocado not sure of the name for another appetizer. Fluffy, tasty with layers of avocado and mashed potato. I had the beef soup the broth took the show, stewed to perfection the meat was tender but the broth, you could tell they did this slow to get all the flavors. Beautiful place, food was amazing. There's a parking garage in front if you can't find street parking. read more

Visited this place on 10/17/24, 2 days after their opening, for dinner with friends. The ambiance is more upscale and the service to match. The host, server, and other staff were professional, kind, and went above and beyond to ensure we understood the menu. I've had Peruvian food before so I had an idea on what to expect and wasn't disappointed. I would have liked some non-alcoholic beverage options other than water presented to me - chicha or Inka cola anyone? But sadly that was not on the menu. We ordered the ceviche clásico which was our favorite (spicy sauce on the side). The papa a la huancaina was a little different than I'm used to but still tasty. For entrees we had the lomo saltado, arroz chaufa, and pollo a la brasa which were all highly rated by everyone that ordered the food. Drinks were delicious as well! I would definitely recommend for a nice date night out. read more
