Anyela's vineyard is located about 10 minutes from downtown Skaneateles. It is located on a beautiful property and offers some gorgeous views. I'm not sure if customers are able to walk the vineyards because it was raining when we got there. We stopped in for wine tastings - $20 for the preset menus and $25 for selecting your own wines. The tasting includes 4 wines and I thought the pours were generous. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza with hot honey to share and it was delicious. The service at the vineyard is a little strange because we sat in the main room upon entry but were told to go pick up our pizza in a different room. Thankfully they weren't very busy and the sweet lady that poured our wine ended up bringing the pizza over to us. They have 3 or 4 different rooms you can sit in. We chose the main room with both low top and high tops, one room had a fireplace to snuggle up next to in cooler months, and then the outdoor seating where they had live music allowed you to feel the breeze and see some views. The wine was good - our favorite of the day being the Cayuga White so we purchased a bottle to share which is a much better deal than buying by the $12 glass. This is a great place to hangout with friends or go on a date. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon but steady and very enjoyable. We played cards while we sat and drank and it was a wonderful time. read more

This was a wine dinner pairing held by the Sherwood Inn at Anyela's. The Sherwood Inn will occasionally hold these pairing events but at different locations. I love that idea as it allows exposure to a variety of locations. The food was tasty and seasonal incorporating produce from leeks to beets. Also fruits from apples to cranberries. This is a beautiful place for a wine tasting! We had our wine outside in the gazebo, but there are places to drink your wine inside as well. The outside is amazing though and professionally landscaped, so I'd recommend that. This was a little pricier than some other tastings, at $20-$25, but we also got more wine than usual, with about 6 ounces in each glass. We left with two bottles. Try it out! read more

The tables were dirty, they didn't have anything to keep wine bottles cold, they didn't have ice available for us either we were told to bus our own tables, but there was still nothing to wipe tables off with. The employees are all wonderful, they're kind and knowledgeable. The view of the lake is breathtaking, the beautiful grape vines are a bonus as the look over the lake. The wine is tasty, I love the Albariño. They have great outdoor seating, and plenty of indoor seating in the winter. read more

We have visited this winery numerous times. We've always loved the Avail wine. We always get a bottle and sit outside and enjoy the views. On this particular day, we decided to try a different white wine. We chose either the Pinot Gris or the dry riesling. I cannot remember which one. Anyway, after our first glass, which we weren't really impressed with, we poured a second. The second glass tasted worse and was cloudy. We looked in the bottle and noticed a bunch of sediment on the bottom. It smelled like apple cider vinegar. I took it inside to the tasting counter and showed the girl that was doing the tastings. She explained that it's normal for wine to be cloudy with sediment. I've had hundreds of different white wines and this is the first that I've ever had that was cloudy with sediment. Anyway, she poured us each a tasting of a different white wine because we couldn't finish the bottle we bought. I felt like we were looked down upon because we couldn't appreciate the cloudy/sour wine. read more

I absolutely love this place and have enjoyed my visit each and every time. This winery is located a few miles outside the village of Skaneateles, located on a hill top overlooking the lake. It is a very large winery. In the summer there is a outdoor stage and plenty of outdoor seating. We have only gone in the winter, but it's still a magical place! Upon entering you will see there are 3 separate rooms for seating. To the left, there is a large room with a wine bar counter, many tables and stairs that lead to upstairs seating. To the right, there is a checkout counter, two wine bars, a retail wine area and comfortable couch area for tasting. Beyond this room is a room with tables, snack stand, and fireplace (we always sit in that room) full of windows with natural light. Now for the tasting! You can chose two options $15 gets you 4 glasses of chosen white wine or a flight or red chosen wines. For $20 you can pick 4 of whatever you want. The pours are always a great amount. You can also buy a bottle of any wine and get glasses to drink just that. For snack they have: lots of different cheese, cracks, cheese spreads, nuts, and bread. They have music sometimes inside in the winter. This place is a must try, it's perfect for a date night. We recently dragged our friends along because we like this place so much and they enjoyed it. What a beautiful vineyard and winery! The grounds and overlook of the lake are enough to make them stand out from other wineries I've been to. With respect to the wines, they were exactly what you expected; the Cab Franc was bright and fruity, the Pinot Noir Reserve was bold, and the Albariño was refreshing. We tried 5 different bottles and were happy with each of them. Wineries like this are great at making it an experience rather than just a place to drink. I can't wait to visit again in the summer when it's a bit warmer. They have a small outdoor stage for bands and a gardens to walkthrough. They have a selection of cheeses and crackers for those that want some munchies, but they don't have a kitchen or anything to that size. For those looking to bring dogs, we did see furry friends outside but not in the tasting room. read more

We were recently in Skaneateles for a little get away. We went to Anyela's on a Saturday evening. I think it was the best time we had out of all We did! They had live music, wine was good and the pepperoni pizza hit the spot. It was the best meal we had in Skaneateles (sad to say)! It was relaxing and we loved the comfy chairs in the loft. They were pretty busy when we got in, though that's not too surprising given it was Mother's Day. They probably should've been a little more prepared for it, as they had an unstaffed, empty overflow table and told us to wait for someone to leave, which they said would only be a minute. A few minutes in, though, as the people currently tasting were being slow, they went and got another person to fill the overflow table - that person was super friendly and helpful... amusingly, I only learned as we were leaving, it was the owner of the winery(!) (guess he wanted to keep it low-key?) Anyway, glad they realized they shouldn't keep us waiting for too long (it was only a couple minutes before they went and grabbed someone). Anyway, it's $5 to taste 5 specific wines, or $10 to taste any 5 wines off their larger list. Most of the wines I was most interested in were on their $5 tasting anyway, so we did that one. The wines I wrote down notes for include a pretty good off-dry Riesling (not the *best* I've had in the area, but I've had a lot of Riesling now, obviously - it was still quite solid), a *very* tasty rose of pinot noir and reisling(!) (you could definitely taste both of those, such an interesting combination - super smooth, just a tiny bit sweet, with notes of cranberry and cherry, tons of fun), and a blend of pinot, cab franc, noiret and cayuga white(!), which I thought was just good, not amazing, but still, that is a really interesting blend, so I applaud them for going outside the box. The other weird thing was they charge $5 extra to taste their one port, even though the port isn't even that expensive - I asked, apparently it's because not that many people want to try it (seems like a bit of a vicious cycle there), so they end up having to toss open bottles. I don't know why people wouldn't want to try it, it's completely delicious - one of the better ports I've had. A bit on the light side, but the perfect amount sweet (for a dessert wine, I mean), very smooth, and full of flavor. And I'm happy to say when we said we all (5 of us) wanted to share one taste of the port, he poured it quite generously, at least. As for the view - the view from the tasting room itself is nothing special, but if it isn't raining (like it was when we were there), the view from the outside *patio* of the tasting is quite beautiful. read more

It was so beautiful here. We went on a Tuesday during the day so it was quiet, and perfect patio weather during fall. We did a red flight for $15 and a choose your own flight for $20. They had little bags of snacks to comply with COVID restrictions and they had a cooler with little cheese/meat trays you could purchase. I'm not sure what is different on the weekends but this place would be perfect if they had more snacking options like a charcuterie board, etc. There was a lot of space, inside and outside and the views were to die for. What a wonderful experience! The prices are outstanding too! It's cheaper to buy a bottle than glasses. I had the avail blend and it was delicious- not too sweet and not too dry. You can see the lake from your seat outside in many spots and the inside seating was spaced out and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. It was really an outstanding place to take friends and family. I was told about this place about someone in town and so happy I heard about it. It's not far from the main strip of town. They request you order food with your wine so there's cheaper food like $1 bags of chips or snacks and then there's local cheese curds and a great tomato herb oil which they give you a loaf of bread for (I recommend this!). Very welcoming friendly service. This was my first time out here and I loved it and so did my company. I definitely look forward to coming back and next time I see their wine in the store, I'll pick it up. read more

I'm actually being pretty generous with this rating only because the view was so spectacular. We decided to stop here because it was listed as one of the top attractions in Skaneateles. I was greeted by a nice attentive lad who explained how the tastings worked. (either by the bottle, glass, or flight) He strongly suggested getting a flight because of the value compared to a glass. My dad and I decided to split a flight ($20) he likes dry red wines and I like sweet white ones. Based on his recommendation, I thought we were going to get a generous sample of 4 wines, which ended up not being the case .... essentially we ended up getting 1oz of a pour per wine (4oz in total) Ouch!! The wines were OK, nothing to write home about. The view and the ambience was pretty though. We saw a group of people who gathered with a bottle of wine and a deck of cards. (now that was the way to go) Did I mention , we had to buy a bag of chips for $1 (I know Cuomo's rule but still....) Ended up being an expensive 15 min trip. Maybe if I had the money to spend , the experience would be better , but this winery was a bit too swanky for my budget. read more

This place is in an absolutely beautiful location. It would be great for a special event venue. The grounds, gardens and vineyard are impeccable maintaine. We had to flights or 4 wires, 2 reds and 2 Rosas. All were very good. I bought two bottles of rose (can't remember the name but it was a bubbly) to the lake house rental and they did not last long. The charcuterie board was delicious and paired well with the wines. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. A perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon. read more

Anyela's Vineyards, simply put, another lovely stop on the Finger Lakes wine trail. Drive about ten minutes from downtown Skaneateles and you'll reach the windy, pebble road that leads to the lovely grounds of this vineyard. When we arrived, the wine bar was VERY BUSY for tastings, so we instead opted for glasses of Dry Riesling and headed out to the patio/promenade. WOW, what a beautiful view of Skaneateles Lake and Anyela's robust grape vines. The 2012 Dry Riesling was spot-on and was my take home wine for the day. I passed on the cheese plate as I looked at other visitor's and it looked somewhat plain. This is a large enough and pretty enough location for private receptions. A lively and fun staff here, although some are a tad 'testy' and I can see not everyone liking that type of personality. I'm fine with that, I'm on vacation and having a good time at Anyela's and I look forward to returning soon. read more

Beautiful setting right on Skaneatles Lake...one of the top 10 cleanest lakes in the US. The views are amazing so make sure to outside. It reminded me of some nice wineries on the West Coast. We each bough a glass of wine and the charcuterie platter. It was okay, nothing spectacular but good with the wine. I definitely will bring friends here when they visit our new summer house and also want to come when there is live music! read more
