Made the journey to sample the tasty beverages with some friends for the afternoon. It was a beautiful sunny 80° day in October. The scenery is lovely. They drew in a very large crowd that day. Lots of Apple treats in the bakery. There were hayrides, a corn maze and apple picking in the orchard. Needless to say, our group wasn't disappointed with the outing.

We love apple season in New York and Beak & Skiff brings back nostalgia when I was little and now I bring our two littles here. If you've been apple picking here before you know when the best time to go lol, weekends are obviously busier unless you get there right when they open. We opted to go on a Thursday for our favorite, honeycrisps. We had lunch which everything was delicious. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoor. We ate outside with the beautiful views before us, the weather was perfect. Our youngest loved the kids section. The quality of products and friendly staff makes it worth stopping by each year.

I went on a weekend and though it was packed, finding parking was surprisingly easy (very well organized!). This place really is the Disneyland of apple orchards! They have everything from pick-your-own apple picking, a corn maze, a cafe/ bakery with every iteration of apple drink and apple pastry one could want, a general store filled with even more delicious goodies and products made locally, and even a distillery. There's really something for everyone here!

This review is for the cafe specifically. We ordered the smoked Mac & cheese with pulled pork and the pickle waygu burger. The counter service had to finish their personal conversation before taking our order. The food came out fast but the burger was well done regardless of them asking how I wanted it cooked. $14 burger, doesn't come with sides. The Mac and cheese was good. The bakery is phenomenal as always and the service was very friendly and kind. There are a few tables to eat inside the cafe when chilly but otherwise mainly outdoor picnic tables. I'll come here again for apples, the bakery and the fall activities but not for the cafe lunch/dinner.

What a great experience! Orchards to distillery they have it all. Great raspberry cider, outdoor tables, band, general store and food! You can dine, drink, shop, eat dessert from the bakery and Apple pick all at one location.

This was actually a Syracuse Food Truck Association event "Foodie Fest", held at Beak and Skiff. It was a great venue for this event, with lots of room, there was seating and grassy spots to sit, beautiful scenery and the buildings have indoor bathrooms. The tasting room as well as the gift shop were open. There were some of my favorite trucks at this event and a few new ones I was able to try. Redneck Reuben Union is amazing and their corned beef is the best.

Really incredible place. I went to Beak & Skiff for a concert. I was pretty well blown away. I wasn't expecting a venue as big and nice as that, but alas! There it was! Beak & Skiff feels like it is in the middle of nowhere because it's on the edge of the Appalachian Mountains and there's really not a whole lot around, but you're only a short drive outside of Syracuse. Parking is easy. They have food and drinks. Everyone brings their own chairs and they setup in the big lawn in front of the stage. The earlier you get there, the more likely it'll be that you'll be able to park yourself where you want. Just pace yourself on the beer because I'm not sure how many Ubers there are in the area.

Beak & skiff will always be the go to for my family since I was only a few months old. They have grown a lot and it's amazing to see everything they do and how popular they've become. We went on a Saturday around 12pm and I was reminded why we avoid the weekends but round 1 of early morning people left so we found a parking spot closer to the entrance. It was packed to say the least so if you want to come on a weekend be prepared for the crowds and lines for everything. Even finding seating area. However, we love Honeycrisp so we had to get here before they were gone for the season. The food was okay, but they really need to expand their cafe to prep for the amount of people. Ordering food especially on the weekends. It took about an hour to get our food and it was tough to hear when it was ready because they were shouting names. I think maybe they need one more tv and give order numbers to everyone kinda like Panera does now or McDonald's. Even a PA system would help because it was difficult to hear over all the talking. We got the porky apple nachos, deer hill apple bacon burger, and 1911 original chicken. The nachos were good the best part was the apple chutney that was nice and hot and the queso. The pork wasn't very warm and was a bit dry. However kind of expected with how much they prep in pans. The burger was good, your typical burger my sister said. The chicken sandwich was ok too my mom just wished there was maybe more to it than just pickles maybe a coleslaw on it. We don't come for the food but it's nice that they have it available. No drinks today but thought it was cool they were doing free tastings of 4 different whiskeys. Went home with their aged for 5 years whiskey for my boyfriend and a bottle of Honeycrisp wine and obviously some beak and skiff apple cider.

as a pumpkin patch/farm/orchard connoisseur this was extremely disappointing. the food lacked flavor, seasoning, and was not worth the cost. french fries that taste like raw potatoes, a veggie burger that looked like the shit of a vegetable in a patty. we really only interacted with one worker outside of ordering food (who did not look happy to be there). the lady we did talk to was sweet. apart from that there really just isn't much to do. there's pretty sights just not many activities

Beak & Skiff, yet another place I had on my list to try and once again it was a rewarding experience. Steve and I had their Freedom Cider, a cider oriented towards our veterans. The Freedom Hard Cider is a dry cider which more often than not the cider in which I prefer versus ciders that are really sweet. Flavor features with this cider are dry, crisp and tart. And of course the apple flavor which is the main attraction. As I go through the Untappd list for their other cider selections I see some very intriguing cider flavors that caught my eye and is something I wouldn't mind returning to for more exploring. The Cider Donut for one was what really grabbed my attention.

Beak and Skiff is simply marvelous and over the past several years has been a part of a new family tradition in apple picking! We live in FL but have a second home in Oswego, NY and our young nephews (5 and 6) are in Liverpool and Beak and Skiff is the place for us to take them and the family to enjoy a day of fun apple picking excitement. The adults enjoy an adult beverage or 2, the kids ride horses, play on hay bales and of course take the trip out to the orchards to find the tastiest juiciest apples around! My husband is obsessed with the apple hand pies- and when I say obsessed I am not lying! If I come up during the season aside from our trip with the kiddos, I am tasked with bringing at least 13 home. I will say this- sometimes the crowds are heavy and can be overwhelming and it would be great if the orchards staff could control flow and the food ordering process to make it more time friendly to guests. Other than that- it's a really good time!!

Beak & Skiff is a MUST visit for anyone who loves to food, alcohol, or just a wholesome good time! The campus has a cafe with very generous portions and great prices. While there I got the pulled pork poutine, which was incredible. The general store has all the merch and snacks you could ever want. And then there's the tasting room...what a treat. I went on a Saturday in October so it was peak season. The lines were long but moved pretty quickly. You can get a craft cocktail, cans of all the 1911 that is made, or flights. I opted for a whiskey and cider flight. It was great trying out everything so I knew EXACTLY what I loved and wanted to buy to take home. The store outside the tasting room packed up all my bottles and cans perfectly to transport home. Do yourself a favor and plan a trip here.

Another stop on an afternoon of Fall fun! The crowd was considerable this past Saturday afternoon, the line of traffic coming out as we were coming in was considerable! Luckily my friend's son works there on the weekend and knows where parking is less congested. We were able to order hard ciders without too much of a wait, and picked up a bottle of 1911 Donut Whiskey as a gift. Luckily I didn't have to wait in the line to score the fresh, hot out of oven Apple pie, that received rave reviews from my fiancé! Loved the thick, flaky crust! Apples and cider were also purchased at the barn. We did wander around the gift shop as well, I was disappointed very little Fall or Halloween merchandise but packed with plenty of goods. It is a little cooperate but a beautiful facility. The view of the foliage is phenomenal from their great location!

Ask the Community - Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards

I'll be coming to Beak & Skiff for a concert in August. I'm curious about their guidelines compared to other concert venues, like photography/bag rules. Can anyone give me details as to what attending a concert here is like?

Relaxed, I believe they reserve the right to do bag checks but I would call and ask. It may be canceled

I'm not sure if customers are able to walk the vineyards because it was raining when we got there. We stopped in for wine tastings - $20 for the preset menus and $25 for selecting your own wines. The tasting includes 4 wines and I thought the pours were generous. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza with hot honey to share and it was delicious. The service at the vineyard is a little strange because we sat in the main room upon entry but were told to go pick up our pizza in a different room. Thankfully they weren't very busy and the sweet lady that poured our wine ended up bringing the pizza over to us. They have 3 or 4 different rooms you can sit in. We chose the main room with both low top and high tops, one room had a fireplace to snuggle up next to in cooler months, and then the outdoor seating where they had live music allowed you to feel the breeze and see some views. The wine was good - our favorite of the day being the Cayuga White so we purchased a bottle to share which is a much better deal than buying by the $12 glass. This is a great place to hangout with friends or go on a date. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon but steady and very enjoyable. We played cards while we sat and drank and it was a wonderful time.
