Wine Slushy

Never disappointed when I come here. They are so friendly. The wine slushy is incredible, by far the best I've ever had. This is the second paint and sip I've done there and they're so fun and definitely something different to do in the area. Love love!

Enjoying the cheese and crackers under the tent patio

Wonderful service and great people who care about their products. Wine was good, flights are a great way to try a few. Also grab crackers and cheese and enjoy the patio. Very nice. Dog friendly and we would like to come back for music on Friday and Saturdays in the summer outside.

Our weekend getaway to the lake house held an unexpected surprise... I set out for a lazy walk with my fiancée and all of a sudden ended up at this gorgeous family run estate was just a mile away from us... We were greeted by the owners who go beyond to extend their warm welcome... you are also greeted by their beautiful pooch... the dogs are also featured on a label of a wine 2019-Belle & Boon Juice. We spent a wonderful time tasting wine at the outdoor table. $8 Tasting let's you sample 5 wines from a selection of semi-dry, dry and sweet. I highly recommend you sample their exclusive ice wine for an additional $3. The delicious wine slushie beckons with the summer months coming soon. It's a great fun place to relax!!

Wine Tasting

Visited Grace Tyler Estate Winery on Saturday afternoon. A lovely space and friendly staff, but I just was not a big fan of the wines I tried. Quality: For the Wine Tasting I selected the 2021 Skin Fermented LaCrescent, 2021 Diamond, 2022 Marquette Rose, and the 2021 Nightwalker. The Marquette grape flavor overwhelmed both the rose and dry red wines. I was okay with both of the whites I tried, but neither enough to push me towards a bottle. Quantity: Wine Tasting came with four selections. Value: $10 for a Wine Tasting. Ambiance: Grace Tyler Estate Winery is located right off Oneida Lake on the northern side. The winery is a little ways from the road, causing issues for my GPS. They have three sitting areas, the first being an outdoor space, which was covered with snow. The other two are indoor areas, the standard indoor tasting room, and then an enclosed outdoor patio with heating lamps and fire pits. We selected this room, which they really did a nice job with for colder weather. Crowd: Two other couples, both sitting inside at the bar. Service: Very friendly servers, allow visitors to explore on their own or with close attention. Parking: Dirt parking lot outside the tasting room.

So since the fall a lot has happened here and all for the good! They are ver popular and now have and outdoor oasis and music on Friday nights as well aS a few new selections and more to come. Indoors has a few new additions but you really need to check it out for yourself. Like x2 for me and a stop on my travels whenever they take my east on 49 from Central Square. Nibbles for purchase and bring your growler for a $20 fill up of your on tap choice!

We enjoyed an afternoon of wine and cheese and crackers here. We stopped here after checking out the lake house in sylvan beach. The outdoor space is beautiful and the service was excellent. They have about 10 wines to choose from and a small snack menu.

They are located across from Oneida Lake so unfortunately there is no view, the ambiance inside is rustic modern farm.

Information from their website: https://www.stricklandhollowfarm.com…read more "Strickland Hollow is a working cider apple farm, artisan distillery and event space built in the 1800's nestled in the heart of the great western Catskill Mountains. Our Tasting Room, located at 70 Main Street, Delhi, showcases not only our spirits but the best wine, beer, cider and spirits from New York State, along with cooking classes and the occasional special dinner." I am writing a review of a cooking class I attended, "The Art of Making Sushi". Jerry Pelligrino wears a lot of hats. He is a farmer, distiller, and chef. After 20+ years in the hospitality industry, Jerry, came up to the Catskills to create Strickland Hollow Farms. The Tasting Room is the storefront where distilled spirits, ciders, beers, and wines exclusively from New York State are offered for sale. Conservas (food preserved in cans) are also sold there but they're not from NY. Attached to the left of the main shop is a room which can be converted to an ad hoc kitchen. That's where the cooking classes are held. Mise en place (putting in place) is a culinary term which means ingredients and tools are prepared and organized before the cooking begins. The success of this sushi making course was dependent on the preparation of the ingredients ahead of time. Fish (salmon, scallops, tuna) was cut into strips, pre-cooked shrimp (deveined with tail on) was available...halved avocados...julienned cucumbers...soy sauce...cutting boards...knives...makisu (rolling mats)...plates...sushi rice...everything was ready. A lot of work went into the preparation to make it easier for the students to learn how to make different types of sushi. Jerry usually focuses on teaching maki and nigiri sushi. This time, he also prepared gunkan maki zushi because I asked about it ahead of time. A brief demonstration of how to create each type of sushi started the class and then we were left to our own devices. I really liked this style because I think most of us were experiential learners. We had to do the thing to learn it, get a feel for it. Jerry also cut some chu toro (medium fatty tuna) I managed to get before the course in order to add it to what was already available. Yeah, I'm a geek and, Jerry, well, he is beyond accommodating. Overall, it was a really enjoyable course. We learned a lot. Jerry is a knowledgeable and engaging person. It won't be the last time I'll be taking a class at Strickland Hollow.

$25 for three one-once tastings of mediocre wine is absurd and is taking advantage of people. Great…read morepizza, but a total miss for me. Skip this place unless you don't mind ridiculous tasting fees. I have tasted wine all over the world at some of the finest wineries, including small boutique producers and have never paid this price. The only reason I tasted here is that I was dumb enough not to look at the prices and too embarrassed to back out once the tasting started. There are other small wineries in PEC that produce better quality wines that don't have that homemade backyard taste and they charge $3-5 for an ounce tasting.

Discovered this winery on at Saturday afternoon after reading about it on Google. The reviews…read moremostly raved about the friendly owner, service and pizza. We arrived at 12 pm and there was roughly a line of five people ahead of us and heaps of people leaving the store with pizza boxes. The parking lot was busy. While in line, we met the owner Anthony. Based on our conversation, one could tell that he is passionate about what he does and enjoys it. He spoke of his training in Italy and that he is one of the few Pizzaiolo in Canada. After hearing this, we ordered a bottle of white wine (Vidal) and a calabrese pizza. Their patio was full and the owner set up a table with his chairs from Tuscany by the entrance/exit to the kitchen. He said that when the restaurant is sometimes full, he used to bring out his own furniture. The pizza was phenomenal. Anthony said that he wakes up at 5 am to start on the dough, but was unable to share his secrets on how great the dough was. It had more of a phyllo texture and the meat was delicious. Overall, we very much enjoyed our experience learning about the history.
