The tasting room attendant was cheerful and friendly, telling us about each of the wines and sharing some of her favourites. I had six samples in total: the 2013 Windward White Blend (which would be great with spicy food), the 2014 Pinot Gris, the "Friend's Rose" (which is the one I bought - it was bright pink, with lots of berry and some rhubarb, a definite afternoon sipper), the 2013 St. Laurent, the 2013 Gamay Noir and the 2012 Meritage. Tastings were, I believe, $1/sample but they were waived with purchase. This is an environmentally friendly, solar powered winery with a sustainable mindset! It's not as fancy as some of the ones you'll visit in the county, but I think it just adds to the charm.

The outdoor seating area with Muskoka chairs has this nice view of the vineyard. It's a really lovely space as it uses what may be an old barn (but refurbished) and there's a very large event space upstairs, and downstairs is where you'll meet customer service and the wine selection. They have a great outdoor seating area and a really nice outdoor space with a mini creek running through it. I'm not sure if they specialize in Gamays or not, but they have a few. My wife really enjoys the Chardonnay - specifically the one aged in the steel barrel. Naturally you'd probably do a tasting before purchasing here, but regardless I'd recommend it as you can get quite different tastes even from the same type of wine depending on the vintage, barrel and other factors. They have a few sweets you can pick up and they also have a stone wood-fired oven for pizza. Lovely spot all around with some great wine - and pizza, makes this a can't-miss stop on any PEC wine tour.

We came in for a quick tasting of their wines and the hosts are clearly knowledgable about their wines. They offered our large party 4 different wines for tasting at $7 per person, and it comes with a nice discussion on the flavours to be expected and a bit of background about the wines and vineyard. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and it's easy to see why there was quite a bit of traffic at this vineyard. No reservations are necessary but it's best to check with them if you have a very large group. Note that they have very friendly Goldens roaming the fields a bit (they are the "Branch Managers"), definitely adds points to the already 5 star review!

We ordered a large, 4 topping (sausage, onion, mushrooms and tomatoes) and it was @ $29. Bring cash because that's all they take. The pizza had a lot of flavour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We'd absolutely be back and despite what some other reviews say, I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.
