Pizza and Chardonnay in the shade of the oyster bar
Cin C.

I came here recently as part of our wine tour, and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities. They have a fully working with fire oven, an oyster bar, a selection of great wine, and plenty of space to enjoy it in. We shared a glass of Chardonnay, as they were not serving flights while we were there. Our server was good enough to split it into two glasses for us. We had to try out their pizza, and went with the Salsiccia. The crust is super thin, just enough to hold up the ingredients but delicious. Will try their house cured trout and biltong next time!

3.5/5 - came with a group of 11 at peak lunch time and obviously it was packed. However they did have picnic tables and gazebos on their property where we were able to stake out and grab. We then ordered take out pizza's and glasses of wine. We were told we weren't allowed to open bottles on their property. So basically we were forced to buy by the glass. We left at 3:30pm and the place was still packed with lunch goers with no open table in sight. The fungi pizza was delicious but I've tasted better Margherita pizzas before. Overall, strong 3.5 stars. Their wine was good but nothing blew my mind. The size of the individual pizza is large enough that you can definitely get full. But if you're a big eater you'd probably need 1.5 pizzas. Great atmosphere though and we happened to go on a day with great weather.

Smoked trout salad (4/5) - soft potatoes, tasty onions, and of course the DELICIOUS smoked trout. Too much Olive oil dressing though

Overall nice winery, here are the highlights: -GREAT outdoor stone-oven THIN CRUST pizzas - wine tasting! $5 for 3 wines is a sweet deal and can be waived if you make a bottle purchase -you can walk along the grape vines -see their other produce garden (hot peppers, sunflowers, tomatoes, eggplant, etc) -store containing lots of jarred & bottled local jams/oils/spreads We stuck around for a patio lunch and loved the SMOKED TROUT SALAD (next time, ask for the dressing on the side bc they were VERY generous with their in-house olive oil) and FUNGHI PIZZA. We also tried their in-house peperoncino (diced hot peppers) with the pizza and it was fireee.

Summer throwback and rave review. . I keep recommending this place and will continue to sing their praises. . Norman Hardie Winery. . Omg yes. We came here and had to come back for the smoked trout. It was so worth it. . 1) smoked trout -26$ & flatbread (3$) . 2) PEI oysters - 6 for 20$ or $3.50 each . 3)Tarte Flambé pizza -18$ . 4) Glass of Aphrodite - 11$ . 5) County Soda - Orange Soda -4$ . Ok, so amazing and worth the trip back. The trout was . 100% wish I could take it back to Berta. The flatbread was a perfect suggestion. Maybe some crème freche or some extra dill and then perfection. The oysters were also divine. Pizza was meh compared to the rest, so we wish we got more oysters instead of the pizza. Also the soda was one of the best I've ever had. The wine is light and pure, but enjoyed the ones previously tasted. Highly, highly recommend @normanhardiewinery for atmosphere, wine and food. I think it was and still is my fave in prince Edward county! .

Great place, great ambience, great food. As we were staying in the area, we ate here twice. Both of our experiences were amazing. I do recommend this place.

Very friendly staff. Amazing food! I love pizza so I'm a harsh pizza critique and the pizza was very fresh, fresh ingredients, oven baked and we did not have to wait long. They have a great chilli sauce I would highly recommend. If you like dipping sauce I would suggest asking for their kale dressing sauce, it paired very nicely. We ordered 3 pizzas, the margarita, the funghi, and the salccicia. My favourite was the funghi. If you go for the wine tasting, the staff is quite friendly and very informed on their products. A great spot for taking pictures, having lunch or an early dinner as they do close early (6pm). I would definitely go back and I highly recommend.

I just had to come here after hearing about Norman Hardie from a coworker that saw Chef Chuck Hughes visit for their delicious pizza and wines. I am glad I visited! This is a great stop in Prince Edward. We're not big wine drinkers ourselves but came here for the wood fired oven pizzas and some simple wine tastings for experience. As soon as you go in, make sure to check in with the people there to be put on a wait list. We ended up waiting 1.5 hours on a Sunday of a long weekend but the wait wasn't so bad. You can take a stroll around and do some wine tasting. But admittedly, there's not much. I don't think their turn-around was very efficient because there were empty tables at quick glances. I mean, at the same time it's nice to move at a relaxed pace but I'm not sure if that's the way it should be when people are looking closer to a 2 hour wait (in the late afternoon too). I really wanted their Caprese salad but they didn't have it (it is a seasonal thing) so we settled for the salad with greens in season. It's still really simple yet delicious; crisp and fresh greens with various root vegetables and a simple vinegrette to bring it all together. Small was enough for two people. The Neapolitan style pizza was amazing. Thin crust (but not too thin! There's a nice chew to this) and in a wood fire oven, which creates some charring. This charring is essential and is part of the flavor profile, adding a slight bitterness. Classic Margherita is a no brainer but the funghi pizza contained a bit too much garlic according to my partner. Their wines here are also very good. We're not big wine drinkers but found their reisling very tasty!

We did a bit of wine tasting which was not my favourite... But the pizza was delicious

Best tomato salad ever! Tomatoes grown in their garden and the buffalo mozzarella comes from a nearby farm. Absolutely delicious

Must stop for wine lovers alike and foodies. Definitely worth the two hour drive from Toronto! You'll not only enjoy fantastic wine (the best Chardonnay in North America) but beautiful scenery, the best tomatoes, and fantastic pizza. YES.. Pizza! Norman built an authentic wood fire oven that stands outside and fires out hundreds of pizza a day. Many visitors visit just for the pizza (a mistake cause the wine is real good). The staff is super friendly and helpful. Will offer great recommendations. Make sure to book a cabin or the many bed n breakfast spots. Don't drink and drive, it's not worth it. And you will be drinking plenty of this fantastic wine! Can't wait to come back on my next visit to Toronto.

First of all, this place is definitely well known, probably the most well known in PEC, as it was absolutely packed here.

You have to experience it! Although not all the wines were to my liking it is a great place to visit and wine is based on individual tastes, and gorgeous winery,

One of the larger wineries in PEC. They still have a Yelp check in offer and it's a pretty good one…read more- one free tasting. It's a really lovely space as it uses what may be an old barn (but refurbished) and there's a very large event space upstairs, and downstairs is where you'll meet customer service and the wine selection. They have a great outdoor seating area and a really nice outdoor space with a mini creek running through it. I'm not sure if they specialize in Gamays or not, but they have a few. My wife really enjoys the Chardonnay - specifically the one aged in the steel barrel. Naturally you'd probably do a tasting before purchasing here, but regardless I'd recommend it as you can get quite different tastes even from the same type of wine depending on the vintage, barrel and other factors. They have a few sweets you can pick up and they also have a stone wood-fired oven for pizza. Lovely spot all around with some great wine - and pizza, makes this a can't-miss stop on any PEC wine tour.
