The tasting room attendant was cheerful and friendly, telling us about each of the wines and sharing some of her favourites. I had six samples in total: the 2013 Windward White Blend (which would be great with spicy food), the 2014 Pinot Gris, the "Friend's Rose" (which is the one I bought - it was bright pink, with lots of berry and some rhubarb, a definite afternoon sipper), the 2013 St. Laurent, the 2013 Gamay Noir and the 2012 Meritage. Tastings were, I believe, $1/sample but they were waived with purchase. This is an environmentally friendly, solar powered winery with a sustainable mindset! It's not as fancy as some of the ones you'll visit in the county, but I think it just adds to the charm.

My wife really enjoys the Chardonnay - specifically the one aged in the steel barrel. Naturally you'd probably do a tasting before purchasing here, but regardless I'd recommend it as you can get quite different tastes even from the same type of wine depending on the vintage, barrel and other factors. They have a few sweets you can pick up and they also have a stone wood-fired oven for pizza.
