When we first got to the winery, at the parking lot, we had a little fun encounter with a dog owner who was trying to get his new puppy out of the cars she was hiding underneath in. After we successfully got the puppy out (thank goodness!), us and the dog owner just had the most amazing time chatting inside the bar area of the winery. It was such a beautifully decorated speakeasy. Not only the wine collection was tasty, the hostess LA was super friendly + attentive. We felt like we were just hanging out with some long time friends there and hours gone by just like that! The winery is very charming and well taken care of and the owners and staff were all very authentic, knowledgeable and warm. We had also visited a bunch of other wineries this weekend, such as sandbanks and would compare sandbanks to a Starbucks and Broken Stone to your small local favourite coffee shop. I'd highly recommend it!! The live music and great tasting wine was just a bonus.

Service was good while we were there and I would recommend visiting this winery over the others in the area mainly because there's such a great variety here.

The seating area is comfortable but there's no real vibe to the aesthetic. The wine was good, and our server was knowledgeable about the different wines offered by the winery. There were a few wines offered that could only be purchased at the winery; most of their wines can be purchased at the LCBO.

We were able to sample all of the whites and reds on offer by getting two flights and I can say that nothing disappointed. The Pinot Gris stood out for me as my favourite white - crisp and fruity. The reds were great as well - Gamay Noir was a standout for me, as well as the Gamay Pinot. That one only comes in 1.5 litre bottles, so it's a bit of a commitment. I liked this place so much that I bought into their Wine of the Month club. $300 for 12 bottles that come straight to my door - Yes please! We'll definitely be back next year to see what's on offer and get a tour of the vineyard as well.

The outdoor seating area with Muskoka chairs has this nice view of the vineyard. A perfect setting to enjoy a glass of wine with cheese, cured meat or other local produces that you can purchase from the small but well stocked "gourmet" corner set up to the left of the tasting room.
