stacked barrels of wine

Service was excellent. 6 of us came on a shuttle and Gary did our tastings. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and was able to recommend wine based on personal preferences. The 2018 Zinfandel was my favorite!

Excellent wine for everyone, and a great atmosphere too. My sister in law was visiting and she fell in love so much she shipped some home! We will be sure to have a bottle or two for her every time she visits now. I love that they have a dog on the property too, greeting everyone! And their snack selection was great too.

We visited recently and were welcomed inside with our puppy for a wine tasting. The house dog came in to say hi and then went back outside. Russ did an excellent job describing each wine. Overall we loved the experience and sipping our flights.

Pastrami and Italian sandwich with chips. Bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon that we took home with us.

My husband and I visited during our stay at a cottage in Aurora for our 10 year anniversary. My first wine tasting but not his. This place was gorgeous, with the perfect mix of comfortable and fancy. The two ladies at the counter were kind and helpful. The wine was amazing. And the lunch sandwiches were so tasty. If you come out to this area, definitely stop by this place. Thank you for some wonderful memories.

Lovely spot. LOVELY REDS. Splendid staff. Hard to decide which red wines to buy! They were all keepers.

During Covid and winter, this venue is small, so I suggest calling ahead to get reservations.

Saunders is a big grocery store run by the menonites. There's lots of meats, fresh produce, baked…read moregoods, freshly ground peanut butter, a cheese counter with ample samples, and plenty of baking supplies. Specialties would be their jams and pickles- I have fun just looking at the names of them. Their candy selection is also good, especially if you like gummy candies. I can also find some unique sodas such as white birch beer, sassafras soda, and cheerwine to name a few. There is a little gift shop/religious books section near the front, which can be nice to browse through. Saunders sells outdoor furniture and decor, and there is a furniture store proper attached. I've been especially tempted by their swiveling and gliding rocking chairs. I've had some good food at the cafe, the Reuben in particular being super tasty. You do have to enter the cafe through the store and park your cart before you go into the cafe. You order at the counter and then the staff gives you a number and will bring you your meal. Car parking is ample here but there are speed bumps, so watch it! I haven't noticed any bike racks, so cyclists likely need to get creative. The store is closed on Sundays and can be busy with campers during the summer months.
