    Wine flight in cafe area
    Kim G.

This winery had a ton of options in terms of seating. They had a quaint tasting room, cafe seating, and two different outdoor patios. The cafe stole the show here with tons of choices that were executed very well! My husband and I loved our charcuterie board and pizza. The service was quick which was good since they were fairly busy. The only downside was the quality of the wine. Compared to other wineries in the area, we didn't think the wine was as good. Don't get me wrong...we still drank it . I'd say plan to have lunch here and perhaps just share a glass of wine or tasting if you're planning to drink.

This is the first vineyard/winery we visited in the Finger Lakes. The staff at Fox Run Vineyards are really friendly, but, the wines didn't quite impress us (but it was hard since we're coming from California and France, so it wasn't too surprising). The $10 tasting includes five wines, plus oyster crackers. You start with the Kaiser Vineyard Chardonnay and then choose from a flight of dry, sweet, or Riesling wines. They let us swap, so I went with the Riesling flight, switching out the sweeter Lake Dana Riesling (with a 4% RS) for the Silvan Riesling. For the last wine, you can choose from a list of 10 options, and by the end of the tasting, we ended up trying more than five. Their Piquette tasted similar to kombucha--bubbly, fruity, and a bit strong. My favorites were the Dry Riesling and Semi-Dry Riesling (I'm not a fan of super dry), and the Unoaked Lemberger was solid. It was also nice that they offered in-house grape juice for kids. I imagine it to be very busy in the summer when the weather is nicer. There's a large outdoor patio area and inside there are 2 main bar areas for tastings

I love this winery! Every year when I'm in the area, I make it a point to visit. The food is always delicious, and the wine never disappoints; it's super tasty. I would give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars! The service is top-notch, and the staff is always very friendly. By the way, the blueberry sauce is on the special menu!

Our favorite winery in Seneca during our 3 day visit! This was actually our first stop and we felt so welcome and tasted some great wines! We even took a bottle home! Our server was so personable and even let us try a few extra during our tasting since we were celebrating my husbands birthday.

Wonderful staff! Happy 35th anniversary! Wine tasting was wonderful and we all bought a bottle of wine and if you buy a specific bottle they'll give you a certain % off. Great winery with awesome dry and sweet wine!

We stopped by here as our second stop on a wine tour. I can say I wasn't a fan of the wines, but was a big fan of their charcuterie boards. When you walk into the building, it smells like garlic which I'm a big fan of. We ate most of the charcuterie boards and tried the wines. The venue itself is very pretty but I wasn't a fan of their wines. Also, when we walked in to pick our wines for the tasting, the attendant wasn't very informative, and it was kind of like we had to figure it out on our own. The other two wineries we went to on our tour, they were very attentive so this one seemed lacking in comparison.

Obviously the most important thing should be the wine which was very good-we had two self guided flights which was better than a tasting because we could leisurely sip without feeling rushed to try the next option. There is also light food for purchase. What really turned me off though was the service-the woman who greeted us was not friendly at all-seemed annoyed that we didn't immediately know what we wanted. It's a very pretty area, but with so many other wineries nearby, customer service is so important and we truly felt like we were bothering her from the moment we walked in. It's the only place on our trip that we did not bother buying any bottles to bring home.

I went to the Finger Lakes for a little getaway and stopped at Fox Run. It was the best decision I made! Their wine and the atmosphere were absolutely fantastic! You can either seat on their front patio or the back. I went outside to their barn to order my flight and they also had some food there as well. I had their dry flight and each wine was incredible. Their dry Riesling and Unoaked Chardonnay were absolutely amazing! I had to leave with both those bottles. My only complaint is that I wish they had more food options at their cafe, but other than that it was great. Not only can you buy wine but they have other things in their shop. The one thing I loved about them is that their wine is very reasonably priced. If you get lucky sometimes they will have live music. If you are looking for a fun winery to go to in the Finger Lakes then Fox Run should be on your list. It is a must see!

We enjoyed a self-guided tasting. Great place to meet friends. The tastings were pre-selected: dry, red, riesling or sweet. The food was good, it was prepared in a timely manner. After ordering at the bar, we were given a buzzer. Once the buzzer went off, we went up to the bar to grab our food. We cleaned our table afterwards. The atmosphere was great.

This is my favorite winery in Seneca Lake! The views are stunning! They have a beautiful back patio overlooking the lake and the views cannot be beat. Also they have a beautiful patio area in which you sit under grape vines and it truly feels like you're in Italy! Love the vibes here. For food and drinks they have an extensive menu and many, many options! I would recommend the boards because they have a lot of variety! You can't go wrong with any of the wines, depending on your preference. I'm looking forward to coming back here!

The wine tasting is also $15 for 5 different wines with the gold label, and an extra $3 for the black label wines. Honestly don't remember exactly which types we tried, but they were all really good. We ended up buying a bottle after the tasting and enjoying a picnic of food that we brought outside. The view is absolutely beautiful, and there's plenty of seating for big or small parties. First, the hillside view of Keuka Lake is gorgeous. Second, the tasting room interior has a modern and spacious feel. Third, we both enjoyed the Gewurtztraminer wine and purchased one bottle. Our server was quick to assist with the $12 tasting, but he seemed a bit rushed after a large crowd of visitors entered the facility. On the minus side, the rieslings were a bit flat compared to those of Dr. Konstantin Frank. Also, we made an advance reservation for 2pm, but the facility ignored it since it appeared to have a general "walk-in" policy for everyone. One downside of ignoring advance reservations is that it created a chaotic experience with customer waves. Also, it took about 15 minutes to check-out since a long line formed to exit and pay for the tastings. But overall, this was a good experience.

We were fortunate to have Keith as our…read moreserver, and he may have been one of the most remarkable people I've met in quite some time. His deep knowledge and passion shone through as he shared the rich history of the winery. The owners originally purchased land in Bucks County for farming but later moved to the Finger Lakes region, where they expanded into winemaking, a bakery, and a deli--a true craft-driven endeavor. Tabora was offering a special deal: buy one tasting flight, get the second free. Normally, I gravitate toward the drier the better, but the Winemaker's Jam caught my eye. My flight included: 1. 2021 Pinot Noir 2. 2021 Cabernet Franc 3. N.V. Heritage Noir 4. 2021 Maréchal Foch I started with the Pinot Noir, a light-bodied wine with aromas of cherry blossoms, strawberries, and dried fruit--absolutely sensational. Keith explained that all of Tabora's wines age in used French oak barrels but never for more than 18 months. Instead of prolonged oak aging, they transition the wine to stainless steel, preserving freshness while imparting just a touch of oak influence. Next up was the Cabernet Franc, which had soft tannins, a light body, and notes of raspberry and green bell pepper, with a slight oak finish--and wow, it was good. Then came my hands-down favorite: the Heritage Noir, a blend of different wines that was dry yet bursting with layered fruit flavors. It was truly an incredible experience on the palate. Finally, I sampled the Maréchal Foch, a sensational, jammy wine with hints of blackberry and pomegranate and a beautifully smooth finish. But Keith wasn't done yet--he had me try a few more, including an unoaked Cabernet Franc, which became another favorite. Aged 100% in stainless steel, it was bright with red fruit, hints of cherry, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate on the finish. Beyond the wines, Keith himself was a standout. As we sipped, he shared his life journey--from New York to Hawaii, a path shaped by his mother and sister. His stories were captivating, and if he ever writes a book, I'd be the first in line to read it. Cheers to Keith and Tabora for an unforgettable experience! #fingerlakes
