A fantastic breakfast (choice of menu items and time) is served where you'd like it - in the dining room, in-room or on your patio. Delicious! The room is as described and more! The bed, bedding, towels, kitchen amenities, etc. were all high quality. Karen & Don think of all the special touches to make your stay memorable. Being on the water is tranquil and fun as you watch the boats go by. We noticed it was calm one afternoon and took the kayaks out to look at houses nearby. We rented a boat from Roy's next door and had a blast on the lake. We enjoyed the jacuzzi on a couple occasions and appreciated the late night option. The location is ideal for quickly getting to all the nearby lakes, wineries and sites. We saw much more of the beautiful Finger Lakes region than we expected. Not to miss - Vonnie's across the street is fun with good food & drinks. We'll be back!

The decor was nicely done and the room was stocked with everything we needed. The pool is very nice as well. Overall, the resort was quiet and the staff was super friendly. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING. I don't know that I've ever had a better breakfast anywhere else. My only wish was that the chairs outside the Seneca room were Adirondacks rather than metal chairs with cushions. It rained quite a bit, but when it wasn't raining, we were unable to sit on them because the cushions were wet. Overall, I highly recommend this B&B for a great location and experience!

We purchased the wine and dine package - staying three nights and doing two days of wine tours with the man in the van. It was spectacular. Wine tours- were a great experience . We saw 6-7 vineyards each day and did the east side of the lake one day and the west the other! Dario, our driver, was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable about the wine and the region! You won't be dissapointed if you book your tours with him! Food- the breakfast at this B&B was out of this world - all made to order unique menu choices!! And then there is the 9 course tapas meal on Saturday night. Chef Andy really out did himself with an international culinary adventure ! In addition to the food at the inn Rossana will give you great recommendations for community restaurants. Inn- very clean and comfortable ! Wine and dine package - highly recommended! Rossana uses this package to spoil her guests with nice surprises through your stay. Owners- Rossana and Andy are such lovely people! We greatly enjoyed chatting with them and their wonderful family! Andrew is a trained chef and his breakfasts are off the chart. Guests are given a full menu to order off, and on our visit the breakfast included French-press expresso, baked goods, fresh juices, a fruit course, and an entree. Andrew is a bit bewildered why nobody orders his huevos rancheros (I wish I had), so give it a try when you are there. You can have it straight up or in an omelet. Andrew and Rossana offer an excellent tapas dinner on Saturday night, which is not only a great value but extraordinary in its depth and complexity. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. We will be back.

Our Silver Lining Mis-FORTUNATE (Synonyms: Lucky · Favored ·…read moreBlessed) Wedding postponed, Niagara off the Table, now what do we do!? After some research I decided on a Visit to the Chalet. I have stayed in some of the finest B & B's in the North East and visited with optimism despite our forced change in plans. WOW, the Universe plays the Best tricks. As we drove up a lengthy driveway I was struck by the Beauty of the Willow Trees dancing in the wind over a beautiful duck pond with a Blue Heron gracing its little Island. As we continued up the Driveway the Chalet came into view. We were greeted warmly by Pattie who helped work through some details. Soon Margaret joined us and offered another warm welcome. They asked us some open-ended questions (Morning Beverage of choice for one), offered Insights and shared recommendations, letting us know that our satisfaction was their focus. After seeing some common areas we were escorted to our room where every detail was covered to ensure we would be getting the most out of our stay. Our Room (Lee Suite) was appointed with tasteful furnishings and offered an instant comfort. We stayed for three nights and each morning, when we arrived at our desired time, we found a carafe of Coffee and hot water waiting for us to get seated. Breakfast is three (3) courses and changed daily. Dietary needs were addressed upon arrival and any personal likes and dislikes were noted for the visit, and future visits for those so fortunate. Every bite was delicious and well balanced. As a Inspired home cook I could tell these ladies truly enjoy crafting this deliciousness each day. One suggestion (my regret) would be to take some time to enjoy the grounds. I was so busy running around the lakes that I failed to do this adequately. It is such a relaxing environment that you need to take some of that in. I will make sure to do more of this on my return trip.

We stayed 2 nights and probably should have done 3, just because the drive is long from CT. The Fox & the Grapes is a great place to stay and the breakfast is amazing! I should have taken a picture but I couldn't wait to dig in each morning! There are 5 rooms each with a private bathroom. We stayed in the East Lake Room, which was a nice size and very comfortable. However, you only have a small limited view of the lake from a side window, so if that's your thing you should choose a different room. We noticed that the room across the hall from us, The Balcony, indeed had it's own private balcony, which looked great. I don't think it was available when I booked our stay. Each room has it's own air conditioner which we did need for sleeping because it was still August and I am so used to sleeping with it. Some other great features include a huge wrap around deck with plenty of seating and a gorgeous view of the lake, beautifully maintained grounds, a great room with seating, TV and fireplace, if you want to stay inside, and 2 great dogs who have the run of the place. There are many great wineries within minutes and you are 15 minutes from Watkins Glen. The State Park is amazing and a must visit, as long as you can walk and handle steep climbs. So glad we made this trip and I would highly recommend the Fox & the Grapes to anyone planning a stay on Seneca Lake!
