I had the pleasure of dining at Inkas yesterday with my MIL and husband, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish.
We started with the Tiradito Nikkei, the Mango Ceviche, and the Croquettes. The Nikkei was absolutely stunning, flavor-packed, with a real umami punch (and yes, that word really applies here!). It's not meant to be filling, but it's a total flavor bomb. The croquettes were crisp, fresh, and perfectly complemented by the accompanying sauce. The mango ceviche had a little heat on the back end, making it both refreshing and exciting. Excellent!
For the mains, we had Tallarines Verdes con Bisteca and Arroz Chaufa. The pasta was fresh, and the steak cooked perfectly. It is a beautifully elevated version of one of my favorite dishes. The chaufa, which is essentially a Peruvian-style fried rice, was flavorful and satisfying. The leftovers were even better.
For dessert, we indulged in the Pistachio Tres Leches and the Key Lime Pie. The pistachio tres leches was mind-blowing. It is a perfect combination of two favorite desserts, and is dangerously easy to eat multiple pieces of. I'm kicking my myself for not ordering an extra one to take home. They also have a coffee version that I can't wait to try next visit. The key lime pie was fantastic, and I don't even usually like key lime.
The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. It is inviting and welcoming without being overdone. We loved spotting the alpaca on the balcony. It added a fun touch.
Lastly, our waiter, Matthew, made the experience truly special. We requested him by name based on our previous visit, and he did not disappoint. He is personable, funny, attentive, and knowledgeable about wine, giving excellent recommendations. We will be requesting him every time we come visit.
The fall menu comes out in two weeks, and we'll absolutely be back to try it. Inkas is a gem in Syracuse. It is delicious, creative food paired with an inviting atmosphere and exceptional service. Highly recommend. read more
