Yummy late luncharino here today. After 10 years they have mega-revamped the menu and added a buttload of Peruvian options. Wife was drawn here because of the tallarines de mariscos she saw on Instagram. I was drawn here by the chance to eat a bunch of chicken with rice, beans, yuca and their two delicious salsas. Looks like lately there have been a bunch of whiny babies giving one star reviews saying that the Peruvian food here sucks and it is the "worst they have ever had in their lives." I am happy to report that our food was not one star. Wife's pasta was delicious. However she's a small woman and it didn't fill her up, and at $23 and change, it should. Seafood portion was sufficient, but put more noodles at least. And because there was no bread to sop up the delicious sauce, a bunch of it went to waste. After the fact we looked on Instagram and saw the seafood pasta is pictured with bread. So not sure why the cashier told my wife the pasta doesn't come with bread when she asked him. read more

The food is good and flavorful. I tried a couple of things. I had the arroz chaufarroncito, the charcoal grilled chicken and their tostones. The tostones, appetizer, are good. Little green plantain cups filled with beans and rice topped with onions tomatoes and sauce. They had a citrus flavor that I really liked. The toston itself I couldnt tell if its freshly made or store bought. Regardless it was good. The chicken had great taste but the skin is delicious as you can really tase the charcoal flavor. It came with a side of feied yuquitas (cassava). The arroz chaufarroncito was my favorite. Flavorful fried rice with teo pieces of meat. Keep in mind that the chicharrón is not the same as the mexican chicharron, just letting you know. But you can see and taste the fusion of japanese and peruvian flavors. I was so excited to try this place but unfortunately for me it was very disappointing. We ordered a chicken and beef empanada, several sauces, and some yuquitas. Let me start off by saying the yuquitas were great! The downside of this review is the empanadas were not. The chicken was very greasy and personally the flavor seemed off. I found it to be more edible than the beef. The beef was a dark stew almost with carrots and strings of other things. I couldn't eat it after the first bite. The outside shell of the empanada tasted good as did some of the sauces, but the protein was supposed to be the star. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while. You can tell the building used to be an old fast food chain restaurant. The interior and exterior are WORN and tired for sure. The inside looks like it was thrown together the baseboards and trim were peeling and warped. The entire place was dirty and tired. Service was good but took 20 mins to get a Togo order. Chicken was ok not great definitely tasted charcoaled but wayyyy too much and tasted like lighter fluid and had absolutely no flavor, the beef empanada was hands down one of the WORST empanada's I've ever had! The dough was soggy and wet, and the filling (what little was in it) reminded me a canned beef chili. The cilantro rice was ok at best but dry, fire roasted corn tasted like lighter fluid from the "grill". I spent $31 and basically should have just put the money in the trash. Drive through was broken when we tried it for the first time. Funny that they told us drive through was broken, through the drive through. But since the place was small we just went in to buy instead. Ordering was easy and fast, and they had TVs with sports to entertain yourself while waiting for the food. We got a family meal to feed three of us, and the food did not disappoint. Chicken was very well seasoned and tender and the cilantro rice was delicious and fluffy. The yuka fries were still crispy even when to go but was a little tough for my liking. Still delicious though. And the mild sauce was delicious. However I wished they allowed us to choose two different sauces to try since they gave us two containers of sauce anyways. Did not try the corn tortillas, but they seems pretty well made! I'm a big fan of rotisserie chicken and this place cooks some damn good chicken! Rotisserie has a nice char and flavorful with every bite! They have their mild and hot sauce to add some extra flavoring. I chose the mild one and it had a milky consistency while the hot which my fiancé chose was more of a salsa. Both were great but not necessary! The portion size are pretty generous as well. I tried their plantains and their mac and cheese. I wasn't even able to eat half of the mac and cheese because of the carb overload on my plate. I did enjoy the plantains more than the mac. It's not common to find a restaurant that sells rotisserie chicken unless it's at a grocery store. I'm glad this place exists and very close to place. I will definitely be back soon! read more

I rarely review places twice- but Inka Chicken deserves it!! A couple months ago we tried this spot for the first time and no lie have been in here almost EVERY week since! This is one of those places where the chicken is SO good you don't even wanna try other things!! But we did- and let me tell you!!! The fettuccine al lomo was absolutely delicious. So flavorful, good cuts of beef and very filling. The chicken of course, remains THE best chicken I've ever had. And I've had a lot of chicken!!! It just checks off all the boxes- crispy, juicy, flavorful... yum. The arroz chaufa was delicious. It has soy sauce in it, and tastes similar to fried rice you'd get at a really good Chinese restaurant, but BETTER! We now know that if we're craving fried rice, to come here! Lol. The service remains incomparable. We love seeing the owner and she really cares about her customers. Last time we came, they sold out of chicken and the owner was so committed to making sure her customers were satisfied, despite them running out (because it's just that good y'all!!!) This has hands down become our FAVORITE restaurant in the area. If more than one of the drinks sound good to you, I recommend getting a Tutti Frutti- it's a mixture of few of the drinks!! I walked into Inka chicken on Wells branch and was hit by the stench of raw sewage. I knew this was not going to be a pleasant dining experience. I went to the drinks and got some iced tea and tasted it, and it tasted old and nasty and I looked at the side and all the brooms, mops, and everything was leaned against the Soda dispenser. I got my food and I can't pronounce it but it had pasta in it and it tasted horrible. This restaurant was filthy. Their reputation is great and while the menu is straightforward, you have to stop yourself from ordering all the sides you see. On a day defined by a massive cold front, sitting down with a plate of roasted chicken just sounds like the appropriate thing to do. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with a side of Yuka fries, fried plantains, and black beans. Overall the chicken was pretty good, although nothing spectacular. The white meat was more tender than that from most places, and the dark meat was also fairly good. You definitely get the roasted flavors and aroma from the meat. The plantains are delicious and sweet, and the Yuka fries have the perfect crispy exterior and the nice starchy interior. Don't pass on the black beans; they're super flavorful and while I've had good black beans, these are on a whole new level. The staff was great as well. Roasted chicken cravings don't come often for me, but when they do, Inka Chicken will be at the top of my list. read more

As a Peruvian I was extremely disappointed by today's visit. I ordered a 1/4 chicken that was incredibly dry and had zero flavor. The sauces available were just like mayo and the other just spicy but no flavor. The chicken aquadito soup had bay leaves and bones in them and was spicy but did have good flavor. The lomo saltado did not have any smoky flavor or the flavors you would expect from a traditional lomo saltado. The chicha drink didn't have the spice flavors at all it tasted like it was made of powder and sugar. Idk how this has so many good reviews it was pretty awful. I recommend going to Brasas Peruvian restaurant not far from here. We went yesterday and it was far more authentic and flavorful than here. read more
