I swear Dean is the most patient (no pressure) sales guy I've ever met. Yo say he is thorough is an understatement. He carefully looks at all information available from the types of systems to the pros and cons of each and tailors them to the individual's requirements. The best part is he doesn't oversell you on things you don't need. In my case I wanted a system to eventually be ready for an electric car. Dean wisely advised not to buy the extra pieces now when they would be of no value to me, but ensured my system would be ready for upgrades when I was ready. Since our initial install we have upgraded our system on 3 occasions, each time carefully planned out to maximize the value of the equipment and to get the best bang for the buck. In short if I could give 10 stars I would. If you are interested in learning about solar give them a call. You won't be sorry.

The system, as far as we can tell, runs great. The best thing about Aharon is that he really listens to your concerns and tries to answer all your questions. He makes you feel that you are really having a custom installation done. In our case, we had him place the panels in an alternate location from his original plan since golf balls often hit the side of our house and roof, as we live on a fairway. Everything was perfect. We are happy we chose Codella Solar and Aharon.

It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

Design Phase: Ish and his team were incredibly flexible in accommodating my specific preferences for how the panels should be grouped and connected to each Tesla Powerwall 3. We held several conference calls with their technician and architect to review and validate the design, and they were consistently willing to collaborate and adjust based on my input. Installation Experience: The installation itself was much quicker than I expected. The longest part of the process was simply waiting for the Tesla Powerwall 3 units which was a Tesla supply delay, not theirs. Rebate Assistance: They also helped me secure a rebate that I wasn't even aware of, which was a great added bonus. Overall: Ish and his crew went above and beyond. Disappointing Service and Zero Follow-Through…read more On March 12, 2024, we contacted California Solar Electric (CSE) because our solar system failed. A technician named Roy diagnosed the issue as a failed inverter. We paid $4,730.87 for a replacement, which was installed on April 24. Just two months later, the system failed again. On July 1, CSE said the system had simply been unplugged, a questionable diagnosis since there was no reason for someone to do that and our roof can only be accessed by ladder. The system failed again on November 13. Roy came out on January 24, 2025, got it running again, but didn't explain what he did. When the system failed yet again on February 17, I called CSE and spoke with Chris, the only helpful person at CSE, who said a technician would follow up. Since then, I've called five more times, speaking with either Chris or another tech, Josh. Each time I'm told someone will get back to me. No one ever does. After paying nearly $5,000, I would expect reliable service and timely communication. Instead, I've experienced recurring system failures, and no accountability or follow-through from CSE. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for professional and dependable solar servicing.

I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

The salesman, Jeff was extremely helpful and communicative in explaining to me our roofing options (needing replacement due to the prior roof's age) and the solar system we would need to minimize any future payments to PGE as well as obtaining tax credits and rebates. We had a complication in that we were in the process of purchasing the house and the purchase was not set to go final until early-mid December 2025. Also, the holidays. Axiom staff stepped up big time. Even though they had other projects in the works, they squeezed us in. These complications required continuous coordination between Axiom representatives with the prior home owner (who was still occupying the house), and separately me because the prior owner's agent made it clear that the sellers and buyers (me) were not to directly communicate. In other words, Axiom had to work this project with two "owners" of the house, owners that were instructed to not talk to each other. As I was a "newbie" to solar I had lots of questions (and a desire for perfection). Clay and Justin were extremely patient with me every time I emailed, called, texted or visited their shop (to drop off payments) to coordinate the work, and for them to explain exactly what was being installed and all the installation steps that were being taken. I especially want to call out Justin and Sean for making sure we got the system hooked up as quickly as possible to PGE to export energy to the grid. Sean came by twice after the installation was complete, first to ensure PGE would bless the hookup and second to walk me through the system and show me how to work the App. The roof looks great and the system is working great. I strongly recommend these folks for roofing and solar system installations.

Clay is not the right man for the job and the owner shouldn't be doing business if he is going to be unprofessional like that.

She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

I contacted the company that had installed Tesla batteries and additional solar panels in 2023 but received no support, just evasion and obfuscation. I contacted other installers about working on my problem, but they all turned me down. If anything, my search became even more difficult because of the midyear revision of the expiration date of the residential federal solar credit from yearend 2034 to yearend 2025. That seemed to intensify installer focus on securing and completing installation of new systems by the 12/31/25 dateline. By September I still had not found anyone to help me, but my luck changed that month. Some weeks before that I had looked at Photon Bros central California website but held off contacting them because a note there stated that they were doing repair work only for current customers. In September I decided to call and ask about them working on my problem in 2026. The person I spoke to took my name and phone number and said he would pass it on to Photon Brothers office in Colorado. In about a day or so I got a call from Service Coordinator Jake Brann and that set things into motion which resulted in power generation being almost entirely restored by early December. Service Tech Ruben Quintero discovered a defective junction box in which connections for a 10 panel array were burned out. He replaced the box and the connections. Ruben also noticed that an optimizer on another panel needed to be replaced. Jake ordered a replacement from SolarEdge. It took a while for that to be shipped but it was installed in early June. Monthly system output exceeds levels from two years ago.

We purchased two Tessla batteries from the Photon Brothers San Luis Obispo office around December…read more2024. One of the selling points was that we would be able to receive a rebate from Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) upon completion of the project. Photon Brothers told us that they would help us with the rebate and application process. Although they did help with the application process, they failed to explain many of the requirements needed to obtain the rebate. For instance, we were never told that we had to program our battery to discharge at least 50% of its capacity daily during peak hours for a two-week period while 3CE would monitor the battery system. Upon completion of the application it stalled, because we did not know about this requirement. At least half a dozen phone calls were made to 3CE to try and figure why we were not getting our rebate. It took us over a year to figure this out, with NO HELP from Photon Brothers. Their response was something akin to, "This is between you and 3CE." A simple explanation would have relieved us of much aggravation. We finally received our rebate in March of 2026, well over a year from when we first applied. In addition, we never received instructions from Photon Brothers on how to use the Tessla App to maximum the benefits of the battery system. When we would call Photon Brothers for help with the App, sometimes we received assistance, while other times, no one called us back. We watched the Tessla Battery videos and did not find them helpful. In conclusion, we are disappointed with the lack of support received from Photon Brothers.

It turns out it did have a couple of years left, and Joseph offered to take it back to Lowe's in order to exchange it for a new one (where we purchased the water heater that was bad), this was already past 5 PM. Then, he came back and installed a new hot water line that was feeding the water heater (the old line had a leak already), finished the job after 8 PM. This must have been a long day for Joseph, but he always had a great attitude, was professional, and helpful. These are the type of people that make a difference when deciding who to call in the future when you need a service/plumbing needs. Unfortunately the contractor decided to place the gas line and valve to the pit within the masonry work, leaving no way to access the line should the need arise. Flash forward to about a week and a half ago, and the valve in my backyard fire pit became stripped and was no longer opening or closing with they key. I am a DIY guy 95% of the time, but I am not about to go messing around with a gas line, so I called a local fire place shop to ask about repairs. They told me the job required a plumber and recommended Lloyd's Plumbing service. I called Lloyd's, left a message and... never heard back. After a couple days I searched on my own and found Gallegos Plumbing. I called them and asked about an estimate. The gentleman told me there was no charge to have someone come out I had an appointment scheduled for the next day. The communication throughout the entire process was spectacular. Within a couple minutes of hanging up the phone, I had already received an email and text confirming my pending appointment, and even had a reminder email and text the next day. Bill Jeffries was the gentleman who came to my house. He called me to let me know he was on his way and also asked me about the issue I was having with my fire pit so he could be as prepared as possible. He showed up on time and was very friendly. He took a look at my fire pit, spent time answering my questions, and walked me through three different solutions that could work. He was honest and transparent about the estimated costs for each potential solution, which I appreciated. But seeing the concerned look on my face, knowing that I was looking at a higher cost than expected due to how my fire pit was built, Bill offered a fourth solution that I could try myself, and walked me through how he would do it. In my experience, this just doesn't happen these days. Bill was genuinely interested in helping me figure out my problem and not just looking to make some money. After 30 minutes of his time, he gave me his card, shook my hand, told me to call if I needed anything, and bid me a good afternoon. I was left with no charge for the time or the visit, and a potential solution to my problem that I can try myself for the cost of a few tools and an afternoon. Gallegos Plumbing came through huge, and I feel that their service and expertise is second to none. Bill was extremely professional, friendly, and listened to me. I will most certainly be calling Gallegos Plumbing in the future for all my my plumbing needs, as mine was a great first experience. I am glad I found them, and I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service in their home. It's hard to find good, honest, hard-working businesses these days who put their customers first, but Gallegos Plumbing is one of those few. Highly recommended, and I can't say thank you enough.

After hearing it could also be difficult to get Tesla out for service if something went wrong, I called Coastal Solar because they are a local company. An added bonus is that if my system ever needs service, Coastal Solar is my point of contact. I can't speak to the performance of the Powerwall yet because we're still waiting on the SCE inspection before it can be turned on. But I did want to give a shout-out to the installers Jorge, Alejandro, and Patrick. They were fantastic. They worked hard in the heat, were incredibly friendly, played with my dog, and when the installation was finished, they took the time to walk me through everything they had done and answer my questions. They said the material they used is guaranteed for 48hr...well 4 days is twice the amount of time. So their guarantee is null & void. Please do NOT use this company, they do NOT supervise their employees work, nor do they repair anything if it is their fault. I live with my 93 yr old mother and they took advantage!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Dwaine, the owner, came to our house and took about an hour to thoroughly explain the entire setup we needed, as well as the reasons behind his recommendations. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he was also a genuinely kind and honest person, clearly dedicated to providing the best service for his company. We also interacted with the office staff, who were all very organized and prompt in their communication. They handled the logistics seamlessly, ensuring everything moved forward smoothly. I would confidently recommend Quantum Solar to my family and friends. If you're thinking about adding solar to your home, reaching out to Quantum is definitely the right choice.

What upsets me the most is I think we were essentially lied to. Their contractor's license expired in May of '26. Their worker's comp policy was canceled in Mar '26. Their bond was canceled in Jun of '26. I had my panels installed in December of '25. I believe they knew in December that they were going out of business. You don't just decide overnight to let those licenses expire or cancel. That aside, I am having problems with my panels and had to get a new company out here and they are trying to figure out exactly what Quantum did. I won't go into the technical details, but it was not installed according to Tesla's recommendations. The Tesla rep on the phone was really surprised at how it was hooked up. I've had 3 visits from my new solar company and we still haven't nailed down the problem and we just figured out what they did... and have no idea why they did it that way. Lastly, when pulling up the solar panels we were greeted with all of the wire clipping and zip ties that were just thrown on the roof and hidden under the panels. Incredibly sloppy work and no attention to detail. Maybe the installers knew they weren't going to have a job in a couple months. Since there is no working phone or email, this is the avenue that I'm using to complain. We were all hung out to dry. If I could give zero stars I would.

One letter is addressed to my trust (my home is in the name of my trust), a second to my wife as trust holder (she died on Feb 1, 2018; prior to that date the home was in a trust bearing her name and my name), and the third to me as trust holder when she was alive. This company is tacky for not working out with Coastal Constructors, from whom I bought two Franklin Batteries, how to get their money. If this "threat" is authentic, it reflects only on Greentech. I would never do business with them. I received the letter after the batteries were installed and had not been forewarned that I might in some way be liable for Coastal's purchase from them. (The full 4-page mailings are shown below with my name and address blurred out.) I am incensed, angry, infuriated, irritated, furious, annoyed, enraged -- get the idea? "We are writing you from Greentech Renewables, the industry's leading solar equipment distributor, and are proud to support your solar installer for their solar equipment needs. Congratulations and thank you for going solar! "Equipment suppliers are required (by CA Civil Code § 3097) to send property owners a Preliminary Notice whenever equipment is sold to contractors and the possibility for a lien claim arises. The purpose of this law is to ensure that property owners are informed of any potential liabilities related to their property. "We enjoy a professional and reliable business relationship with your solar installer, and we expect in the normal course of business not to bring this up with you again. I…read morethen noticed that they had accidentally overcharged me by $300, having based the price on a 10 degree tilt rack rather than the 5 degree tilt rack I had chosen. When I spoke with them, they said they would refund the $300. A few days went by and I noticed my entire order had been canceled. I assumed this was just how they did refunds - cancel the erroneous order and redo it right. But after a week or so with nothing appearing on my credit card, I called them and they said they had sold the panels I had arranged to buy from them to someone else and couldn't get more of that type. Why were the panels I had agree to buy and had previously paid for sold to someone else? Because my order had been "canceled." Weeks more delay followed as CED Greentech looked for panels which would fit my specifications. When I finally got my new panels put onto my roof in January 2022, the electrician discovered that CED Greentech had only included 5 wind skirts rather than the 8 needed. This required another trip to CED Greentech to pick them up, and delayed work for a day. The following day, the wind skirts were there, but the electrician found that some clamps which were needed to complete the job hadn't been included in the order CED Greentech had put together, requiring yet another trip to CED Greentech. The array is up and running now. CED Greentech's materials appear to be good and everything works. This all could have happened months ago, though, if CED Greentech hadn't charged me the wrong amount, canceled my order rather than refunding the overcharge, and not getting all the necessary materials together for pick up. The electrician said he's dealt with CED Greentech lots of times in the past and they aren't usually this flakey.

My moms friend, who's an engineer recommended Santa Barbara Solar Panels, I thought I could trust him because he is pretty scholarly in this field. He also had this company install solar panels for him. From the first consultation that I had with one of the over the phone consultants; I could tell that she was skilled and proficient. Her name was Clair, she was very helpful. She explained all of my options, and the whole procedure in complete detail, and then we scheduled a date when the crew can come to an estimate. When we finally got to the installation date, I knew that getting solar panels is not a quick, one day process. Although they managed to prove their work to be very professional, and within a reasonable time frame. I was extremely satisfied with this companies' work. I am recommending these guys to everyone who is unsure what company to trust with their new solar panels! Thanks for my good, first time solar experience.
