Love Jake Swift & Swift Electric! Chris and I are re-doing our garage and while Chris is able to do the flooring and drywall, electrical work makes him a little bit nervous. So we found Swift Electric through Yelp and called him based on his positive previous reviews. Jake came out to our home in the evening at a time that was convenient for both of us and evaluated the situation. About 4 electrical sockets needed to be replaced, 1 needed to be removed completely and a light switch needed to be relocated. He told me it wouldn't be a problem and I told him our concerns about the electrical work being done while the kids were in the house. Jake and one of his partners came to the home, coincidentally during nap time , but they were so quiet and so respectful while they worked, I would have never known they were here. When Chris got home from work to inspect the finished project, he was extremely pleased. Everything was EXACTLY what he was hoping for and work on our finished garage can now continue. "Hi Vic , we are sorry to announce that we are no longer taking on additional work. We are unable to help you on this . He also sealed the fixture base with silicone to keep moisture out since my house is so close to the beach and there were signs of rust and corrosion inside the old housing. For honesty alone, these guys get kudos. I woke up one day to the power in my house acting strangely, lights brightened, appliances wouldn't turn on or their dials went off the charts. Very very scary! I called to set up a service appointment and spoke to John. He told me that this problem was very probably an issue with Edison and not within my house. He said why pay a service charge when he was 100% certain that it was with Edison. He even told me that Edison would give me the brush off but to be insistent and tell them that I had fluctuating current, an unbalanced load and a problem with the base neutral. Sure enough Edison did try to brush me off but I kept repeating what John told me, Edison came out and found their overhead line damaged. Thank you John!! You will always have my business. read more

Just had Swift out today and I was impressed! John and Nick showed up on time, were professional and proficient. They grounded 2 outlets for us, changed 220 to 110 under our range, and fixed a short in my garage that constantly was tripping the breaker and effecting half of the receptacles and lights. This review is for John and is long overdue. Are you kidding me with this guy!? I can't gush enough about his professionalism and knowledge about the work at hand. I recieved onsite quotes from no less than 3 other electricians, who all had different ideas as to how this particular job should be handled. After emailing back and forth with John, I KNEW he was the man for the job mostly because of his description of the process. Straightforward, no nonscence, and this is what it costs. We agreed on a price for installing an outlet in our back yard for the spa. He had to go from the fuse box, through the entire attic and top portion of the home, down the opposite end of the house, and across a block wall. He accomplished this with ease and perfection.
