Billy took his time with explaining to me what he thought the problem might be. He was extremely patient with my numerous questions, and allowed me to learn at my own pace. As it turns out, the problem was quite simple after all. I requested help, but didn't know exactly what I needed. He was able to diagnose within a small timeframe and help me fix it in no time. 10/10 would recommend! Don't hesitate to pick up the phone if you're considering it. read more

Hunter Electric - Fixed it - Electricians Near Me

Total professional! Came out on a late Friday afternoon and took care of business...rock on!

Had him install a breaker panel, he did good work, was up front on pricing, good communication and got the job done in a timely manner.

Had a breaker box issue that others had quoted to cost couple hundred dollars to fix, but Hunter Electric took a quick look at the photos I sent him and let me know I could employ a quick fix myself. The quote he gave me before the photos were also still below the others' too. Extremely fair and honest, won't let you waste your money if you don't need to. 100/10 service and quality mindset. read more

This guy is the real deal! Friendly, knowledgeable, and quality work at a good price. We have a tortoise, and being a cold-blooded animal, it needs a heater for cold nights. We have one setup in a small shack in the backyard, connected to an outdoor GFI outlet. Well, the outlet stopped working at 8:30 PM on a Saturday night, and we needed an electrician ASAP. My wife and I called a bunch, in parallel, that were advertised as 24/7, but either the calls weren't picked up or no one was available. We reached Bill at Hunter Electric, and he tried to walk us through some solutions first over the phone. When that didn't work, he drove out to the house, and replaced the outlet. We now have a working heater for our tortoise. On top of this, he provided some advice on which cables to purchase to replace the improperly rated ones we had in the setup. We will definitely be using Hunter Electric for all our future electrical enhancements and issues and emergencies. We're both very happy with the work, advice, and value. read more

Bill got back to me very quickly. He gave me several things to try and an idea that my breaker box is aging. Turns out, SCE needs to address my issue, but I am grateful to Bill for his help and advice. Call for a quote- I am sure you will be pleased. read more

I have used Hunter Electric for 2 years now and they continue to perform at the highest level of excellence. The work is first rate and up to code, not the usual "handyman" quality that worked on my home before I purchased it. Bill Hunter owner, makes great suggestions, for example, I replaced my numerous overhead lighting fixtures for dimmable recessed lighting per his suggestion with a specific light tone. The finished job gave a soft yet true light making the home look very warm. You always get the owner when Hunter Electric shows up, a reasonable price, quality workmanship, and on time. Give them a try next time the situation warrants quality work done right, up to code, and always done right the first time. read more

I called Bill on a Saturday afternoon after my DIY installing of smart light switches went totally wrong. Responsive and honest. My tenant complained that the garage outlet for W/D wasn't working. My regular electrician ignored multiple attempts to contact him. So on Yelp, I found Hunter Electric nearby and asked tenant to call him. He was prompt and could easily have charged me to replace the outlet. Instead he called to tell me there's nothing wrong with it. Just a service call. Wish I could give the tenant 1 star, though. read more

I called Bill on a weekend when 1/3 of my house lost electricity. I chose him specifically to support local small business. He contacted me within an hour and within 2 hours was at my house. He said he would charge $150 per hour to find the problem and extra to fix it. It took him 1 1/2 hours to "find the problem" and he charged $300. He said a wire needed to be replaced and it was very complicated .. he would contact me next week with a price for the repair. A couple of days later, he quoted $1,200 to fix the problem. I called another electrician who located the problem in 49 minutes .. in a completely different area than where Bill said the problem was. The other electrician had the problem fixed in 45 minutes. Total time 1 hour 25 minutes .. he charged me $250 and the problem was solved. I'm a senior citizen and I don't appreciate people trying to take advantage me. I wouldn't recommend calling Hunter Electric. read more

We had a problem with one of our circuits after normal business hours. We had not used Hunter Electric previously but noted he was available after normal business hours, was close to our location and had good Yelp reviews. Bill showed up on time and fixed the issue in short order. Despite being after hours he was very pleasant to deal with and his fee was reasonable for being called out at night. He's definitely our electrician going forward. read more

Bill was highly recommended by a salesperson at Lowe's, I needed a light installed in my kitchen and loved his reviews on Yelp and the word of mouth review I received from Lowe's. I can't testify to Bill's quality of work as I made 2 different appointments, taking off work to get a quote on the job and was cancelled on twice at the last minute. Again, his work might be amazing but the wasted time with scheduled appointments, lost time at work and still no light installed seemed a bit unprofessional to me. Correction - First appointment, cancelled because he was stuck longer at another job. Second Appointment, attempted to reschedule at the time of the appt, no call earlier to let me know he was running late, Bill is correct though, he didn't cancel, he attempted to schedule an hour later when I had already taken time off work for the planned time. read more

On Friday before Mother's Day weekend we had a partial power outage in our home. I contacted Bill with Hunter Electric and he was so helpful. He graciously squeezed us into his schedule and came out, troubleshot, and repaired our problem. It turned out to be a multitude of issues and he fixed them all. My ceiling fan which wasn't even a year old stopped working. I researched electricians and found Bill's Yelp reviews to be very positive. And when it wasn't positive, he had a response that was direct and to the point. I thought, "I like direct and honest people, maybe he is." Well, he is! I'm so happy to have found an honest, positive, informative, and pleasant electrician. We will definitely call him again if we have a problem or a project that needs to be taken care of. Bill was excellent. I called asking a few questions, was honest and knowledgeable. I asked if he could come and give me a quote, hopefully that day and he was able to even come that afternoon. Quoted me, gave me a time slot for the next week and showed up on time that day ready to work. He knocked it out that same day like he said and the 30A outlets work great. I would recommend him to anyone and he will be returning to add more circuits in the future when I expand my business. He already ran a spare conduit so running for the future will be easy and he won't have to open the wall again. Also, the drywall guys were able to patch up the wall easily. read more

Little did we know when we called Bill Hunter to wire the garage in our new (for us) house, that we would have Bill on our speed dial and call him to fix numerous electrical problems we discovered with our home. He has done great work on many things, ranging from installing a 220 volt line to our garage for our car charger, replacing light fixtures, removing old substandard wiring additions, adding several outlets, replacing bathroom fans and heaters, and fixing multiple hazardous old wiring updates. Bill listened to our concerns, addressed them all, and even fixed the extras things we thought of while he was already in the middle of the job. We will certainly be calling Bill again, and highly recommend Hunter Electric. read more

I had power problem this morning and called these guys, they got it working before 3, good price too.

Bill Hunter is now my family's #1 electrician! Everyone should add him to your 'go-to' professionals list. I was referred by friends to 3 other electricians and not one returned any of my calls -- so I looked on Yelp & found Bill. He actually answered his phone when I called and he was at my house within an hour. I even got to meet Bill's precious daughter who was very polite and respectful. Bill is a family man and he seems to have good old fashioned values that I appreciate as a customer. read more

Called this company, set an appointment, agreed on the price . He showed up and after 30 min. before leaving Bill decided to open electric panel and check , not sure exactly what he was looking for , but after 2 min of touching screws he closed panel and said that panel tune up is additional $80 . He didn't ask me before if I need it and of course never mentioned that it is additional $80 . I wasn't in the mood of arguing and just paid . So my advice if you decided to call there make sure you verify all information before appointment and price in order to avoid this put together program. read more
