They're truly an outstanding local company, that has the efficiency and experience of a global company. When we were exploring solar earlier this year, we received three bids from different companies, and decided on Brighten given other customers' reviews and experience, competitive pricing, reliable communication, and deep expertise in solar. They did not disappoint. Everything was streamlined and clear. Cash was there with a handshake and a promise at the start, and end. Kyle stepped foot on our property, assessed all needs of our project, and continued communication throughout the entire project. Lea supported throughout in friendly, reliable communication, while capturing seriously pro drone shots of our finished project. Daniel, Quentin, and Spencer were amazing when the time came to put those beautiful panels on our home, making trapeze artists blush with their balance and hard work. Finally, Jeremy, Marine, and Ben were also amazing help throughout the entire process. If you're lucky enough to live in the area Brighten Solar operates, I would highly recommend not wasting your time searching elsewhere - these guys are the best. A truly socially- and environmentally-focused business putting the customer first.

We had a terrible experience with this company. The sales process (predictably) went smoothly…read more However, the sales rep completely dropped off all communications immediately following contract signing. We had several questions that remained unanswered and no clear rep assigned to our project. We were also told AFTER contract signing and paying a deposit that we would have to spend an additional 40k on getting our roof replaced as their solar tiles would not be able to be installed on our roof. This was never mentioned during the sales process or in the proposal. I tried to follow up several times and ask questions about why no one communicated this to us and never received a response from a single person, except some random lady whom we had never spoken to before who informed us that we wouldn't get our refund back due to their policy. Horrible customer service, not at all upfront about their process, and poor communication to say the least. Would give zero stars if I could.

Luckily, when contacting NRG Clean Power, they were very informative about the process. They were very transparent about the pricing as well. My moms friend, who's an engineer recommended Santa Barbara Solar Panels, I thought I could trust him because he is pretty scholarly in this field. He also had this company install solar panels for him. From the first consultation that I had with one of the over the phone consultants; I could tell that she was skilled and proficient. Her name was Clair, she was very helpful. She explained all of my options, and the whole procedure in complete detail, and then we scheduled a date when the crew can come to an estimate. When we finally got to the installation date, I knew that getting solar panels is not a quick, one day process. Although they managed to prove their work to be very professional, and within a reasonable time frame. I was extremely satisfied with this companies' work. I am recommending these guys to everyone who is unsure what company to trust with their new solar panels! Thanks for my good, first time solar experience.

We interviewed 5 solar installers, and decided on Good Energy Solar for these reasons:…read more1) integrated hardware; the panels, controller and battery are all Sunpower, not panels from company X, controller from company Y and battery from Z, so we have an efficlient, reliable set up. Two power outages since the system was completed in June have proven this as we had seamless power to those critical items we elected to have supported by the battery. 2) reasonable cost 3) Good Energy has a professional staff who coordinated the Spanish roof tile removal, reinforcing of the waterproof membrane and reinstall of the tiles after the solar panels were installed. The crew was courteous. Good Energy took care of the permits. Good Energy is located here in town, not in the next county or virtual. I would definitely recommend Good Energy Solar to a friend. We had taken over our project from a contractor and discovered that the Title 24 energy compliance work we were told was completed had not actually been done. They were thorough, responsive, and proactive, even reaching out directly to my architect to review the plans and offer assistance. I had had HERS testing at a previous house, so I wasn't too worried and didn't ask the price. Two guys were at my house for less than an hour, and they were very nice, professional, and clean.
