This was truly a one of a kind room and we enjoyed solving different styles of puzzles (not like ordinary ones)! One of the owners was our host and stayed late on a weekday for our room since I had to change the booking to a later time last minute. He was extremely nice and helpful. A great way to spend a good 75 minutes. We played the Magic Cottage experience and it was everything I would want in an escape room and more. A fun intro that starts with a character introduction. The puzzles were interactive and the clue system was a clever use of an in room mechanic. There is a sense of whimsy in many of the pieces of the experience. I loved the way the room handled spell casting. And there is a twist ending that gave the players a choice. I really hope to try the other room, Zombie Lab, soon~ read more

I had the best experience here. Firstly, the room is linear however the puzzles flowed so nicely together and were so much fun to complete!! The theme of the room was incredibly unique, and completely immersive. It was beautifully constructed and extremely well detailed. Overall, the atmosphere was amazing, the staff was so patient and helpful, me and my partner will definitely go back for the other room they have! To give some background, I love escape room and have done over 30 so y'all know I have some other stuff to base this review off of. First off, our gamemaster Jacob (I think) was amazing. Jacob was super in character and paid attention to detail and to our group while we were in the room. I firmly believe that the gamemaster can make or break your experience and Jacob definitely made our experience amazing! We did the Magic Cottage room and holy shirt balls!!!! This room is so immersive. I see the word "immersive" in a lot of escape room descriptions, and let me tell you... not all of them are truly immersive. I can count on one hand the rooms that I've found immersive and I'M HAPPILY ADDING MAGIC COTTAGE to this list. Everything from the start of the room (thank you Jacob) to the actual room itself is so freaking immersive. The technology never really glitched... which is not very common. Usually you have a glitch or two, but damn I can't even remember a glitch. All I can say is that there is plenty to do in this room and pay attention to the three things they tell you before you start the room. Don't get distracted and FOCUS. This room is amazing for beginners and experienced escape room-ers, but I would definitely recommend having some experienced folks in your group with a mix. I've been wanting to do the Magic Cottage since seeing their flyers at other escape rooms. This room exceeded my expectations! We had a couple of technical difficulties while in the room but our game master fixed it promptly. We did the room with 5 people and all thought we could have done it with less but we still has a lot of fun. If you're in Fullerton, this room is a must! We ran into one of the owners outside when we were leaving and they may start working on another room soon. Definitely excited to come back and do that room when it's done! read more

Are we sure this was not created by Disney?? After playing over 350 escape rooms it's hard to be incredibly impressed anymore. But wow, the Magic Cottage here is one of the best escape rooms I've ever played. Between amazing animatronics, effects, theatrics and story telling, I was amazed to be fully immersed in this experience. This is up there on par with a Disney experience and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. Also, our game master Jacob was an absolutely enthusiastic joy! He made the experience even better. We did the Zombie lab escape room on 7/6/20. It was very creepy with a few jump scares but nothing too bad. Once you are inside and immersed by the decorations and props you don't even think about it. We have done over 100 rooms, and it was still challenging for us. We strongly recommend the escape room and are looking forward to their next room. An additional kudos to the owner Jeff. He was very friendly. He answered my questions on the phone prior to booking and was very welcoming when we arrived. After we finished, he wanted our feedback so we spent about 10 minutes discussing the room itself and different aspects of the room. It was very fun to talk to an owner who truly cares about the customer experience and likes to listen to constructive feedback. My group of 4 did the magic cottage and were impressed by the level of detail put into the storyline and props. I thought it was strange that this game allowed 75 min instead of the standard 60, but you'll need it. The owner said he actually reduced the difficulty level from his orginal plan, and it was still complex. The only thing is that a lot of hints came unprompted. We definitely wouldn't have finished on time without all the hints, but I personally still would've preferred if the game master waited more before jumping in. Would still love to come back and test out the zombie room though. read more

Pros: The props were amazing and the room was one of the best we have ever been to. The game master was great as well with the intro and presentation. Con: It was great overall but the sand timer did not work properly. We had no way of telling how much time we had left besides that. We were surprised when the game ended while thinking we had plenty of time left. We drove home disappointed that we could not complete the room. read more

Our group of 3 visited the Zombie Lab (1 adult, 11 & 14 year old). We were a little creeped out (a lot actually), I guess we are just wimps! It's definitely not "horror scary". Unfortunately, my group and I had to make a last minute cancellation of the time slot we had, due to scheduling issues. The cancellation could not happen right away, due to their system being set up to not let that happen within a certain timeframe that aligns with their cancellation policy. So I sent an e-mail out and the staff took the time to call me and find out the situation. The staff member was extremely friendly and was able to understand the situation and grant the refund despite being usually against their policy. Just on that alone, I would recommend them. But even without that, they have rave reviews in all that matters in terms of Escape rooms. Will definitely come back and gladly do their rooms when time permits. Another win in the bag for us! Located across the street from a burger restaurant on Amerige. Location is perfect in downtown Fullerton. Lots of restaurants and has a little bit of everything to meet your taste palette. This was one of the most exciting creepy escape rooms. It was very challenging and we loved the idea the clues were given to us on the screen. Some of the clues were so obvious and we were overthinking it. We seriously could have finish it even sooner. It was a 60 mins escape room and we had 14 mins left. This has to be one of our favorite escape room in the OC. We usually have to travel to LA to find an escape with amazing effects and props. Definitely one of the best design escape rooms we been too. When we are back in town we will be checking out there other rooms. read more

This was en extremely awesome experience! We chose to do The Cursed Cabin room mainly for the wizard theme. It was more of a linear escape room which we enjoyed compared to other previously experienced escape rooms. It was enough of a challenge to keep us engaged but we never felt hopeless or completely stumped. You can also tell that a lot of thought went into the room with the details and puzzels. We also enjoyed the host, Issac, which also made this experience great. We will be back again to do the other room at some point. I would highly recommend for a group of 4-5. read more
