Our meal was absolutely fantastic! Miso Cod was incredibly flavorful! We also enjoyed the steak pizza, pheasant salad and shrimp.

Okay, first of all, who knew that Buellton had more restaurants than Pea Soup Andersen's?!! Second, who knew that Buellton had two lls in it?!! The food at Industrial Eats is some of the best on the South Coast. It's affordable, exotic, gourmet, delicious, and fun. Take your time here because everything is absolutely fabulous!! We had a warm kale mushroom dish, fantastic "little cheese" and "little meat" appetizer plates, a delightful fig and Gorgonzola pizza, and a white shrimp thing that was out of this world. The menu changes daily and is written on butcher paper coming down from the ceiling. All of the food is cooked in their pizza ovens and each dish is a kind of smoky, tasty little slice of heaven! We washed everything down with Brother Thelonious beer (OMG!) and a delicious local Viognier wine. Listen, you gotta try this place! read more

Thought we'd get a cheap meal for the family, but all we got was cheap, loud Rap music instead. The food was not at all good, sandwich breads were burnt black and hence tasted bitter. Worst of all was the entirely nauseating and vulgar music and the stink of their kitchen fumes soaked into all our clothes. That's what happens when you have an absentee owner. We ate here Tuesday night after wine pick up and tasting. Very casual, but this place can stand up to any SF, LA or NYC restaurant. It is that good. There was live uni in the glass case and they prepared that for us with 2 oysters. Then we had the smoked pheasant salad, fennel sausage pizza, watermelon cucumber and feta salad and the chef recommended the white shrimp pancetta so we also ordered that. I have to thank all the Yelpers out there that sent us here (lunch is on me next time we meet) So the place is called Industrial Eats, it should be called Industrial Garlic, this stuff in everything, I think I even tatsed a hint of the G in the water they served us. I'm not saying like is a bad thing, its a fricken good thing. Here's why... First off I'm not a big fan of garlic, but when you also include others spices and herbs the flavors begin to compliment each other to no end. I couldnt get enough. We had, (hope I get the names right) the Fennel sausage, tomato, basil, mozzarella, pizza (some garlic) Omg, it was very good, the sausage flavor was awesome, even the crust was light and airy. Not drowned in pasta sauce. Next was the Corn, bacon, fresh cheese, and yes Garlic with green chilies (as we were in line, one of the locals recommended this) wow this was good. It too had a great flavorful taste. Next was the White Shirimp, wrapped in bacon and smothered in red chillies and yes you know the big G. OMG,OMG, this was the best. It was perfect not over cooked shrimp like many places do. This plate will have us returning... Probably tonight. Just as I mentioned, I'm not a big fan of garlic, but after that meal last night. It may change, that is as long as the food is as flavorful as Industrial Eats, (which I kinda doubt) this place is one of a kind. What a great find this was. I'm in town for work. I felt like going for a walk and I stumble on this nest lil spot. I had a tongue pastrami Reuben of some kind that was amazing. These ingredients were so fresh and flavor-able. Had the white shrimp. Then a oyster, uni, caviar shooter. Oh my goodness it was all so good. Really nice staff. Cool vibe. I sat outside out front and enjoyed my meal. I'd go back in a heartbeat. There menu is so big and varied that I really don't see any reason to try anywhere else next time I'm in town. read more

A not-so-hidden spot in a nondescript industrial office area with its colorful mural is worth a stop if you are in the area. The cheeses and meats in their deli case are siren songs to lovers of charcuterie and cheese plates. I had to try their fondue with apples and baguettes, which was a delicious melted, gooey brie with the rind still on top. Their baguette was toasted perfectly for the cheese, I just wish there were more of it with the fondue, as I quickly ran out of things to dip with and had to spoon the cheese directly (not that this is a bad thing). It's a pricey place but fun for lunch. I would make time for a line though as it does not move quickly. read more

This place is awesome. Decided to come here for lunch, the place is very warm and welcoming and it's not too hard to find from the outside. Now for the food, it was delicious! I had the Beef Tounge Pastrami Reuben and it lived up to the hype. My friends have always told me about it and I just had to try it. Lots of flavor and the beef Tounge was a nice crisp but also very soft for each bite! Definitely a great place to grab lunch! read more

Really excellent pizza! The sausage Fennel pizza is a party in your mouth! The flavors are beautifully combined! I had a lemonade as well which was perfection. Not sweet, not tart and not too strong! The food here was wonderful. We got the BinMi sandwich and white shrimp. All delicious. We tried to get our kids to try the bacon apple pizza, no luck. I would order them a plain cheese next time. We got there around 5:20 on a Sunday night And had no problem finding seating. It's all open so you are likely sitting next to strangers. We got lucky with some nice table mates. Definitely an interesting sitting arrangement to be sure. At first I was turned off by the fact that there appeared to be no where to sit. And they don't let you mix food and drink from this place over the other establishment next to it. But after we debating on where to sit and what to order, all of the sudden half a table was open for seating. That out of the way, we got to our order and ordered the pizza with prosciutto, taleggio, parmesan and arugula. Hubby got the mussels and considering what we had eaten at lunch we tried to keep it light. Their menus is written on these rolls of butcher paper which is cool and the place has an eclectic variety of items from beef tongue sandwiches to foie gras that you can eat or take home. Although the food is really good, the service is not as good and seating arrangement is a bit below that. I don't believe they take reservations so its a hit or miss to get seats as a larger group. Outside of that, it was pretty good and I would go again, but probably when its a little less busy. read more

G-D DAMN! This is probably the only decent place to get really really really really good food here! My boyfriend and I stopped by here and got the Fennel Sausage pizza. It was cooked to perfection and the sausage OMG! It was SO good. We also got the Rueben tongue sandwich. This was SO good! It was cooked perfectly. It did have a weird fart smell to it, but I am thinking it was the cabbage that was on it. The bread on this was cooked perfectly as well. We also got this corn dish that was good too, but I would probably skip it next time. I will def be going back! read more

YES!!! My foodie self was in absolute HEAVEN here! I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted, so I got the smoked pheasant salad with pomegranate and persimmon - fantastic salad, but I would have wanted just a little bit more protein. I also go the cassoulet with pork, goose & sausage. Best thing I think I have ever eaten. My mom ordered the wild boar pizza. She loved it. She's not a big pork person, but the boar was so mild, she loved it. I also got some toast to take home (great!), some pork & pheasant rillette (AWESOME! can't wait to get some next time I come through), and some Copa di Testa (getting more to take home next time I come through). The reason I only give this place 2 stars is because the staff and service was terrible. Sat at the bar for 8 minutes before before being acknowledged. Nice atmosphere. Terrible for a first timer, you walk in directly to the cashier and you have to pick from a wall menu under pressure from the customer behind you. I got an average overpriced sandwich with doughy bread that made a lump in my esophagus. My wife got a broccolini "caponata" that was the size of a small side order for $14. They do serve wine in a vat size glass, but it is subprime table wine. Summary: overpriced mediocre food, total let down for this wonderful land. Let's move on in our quest for good eats. read more

Recommend highly! We were here twice in a weekend and met some great people in this casual shared table restaurant. The beef tongue pastrami is a must as is just about any pizza. Giving Industrial Eats four stars, but torn between three and four stars for the following reasons: Pros: *Interesting, different menu from the norm. Certainly nothing average about it. *Fresh ingredients. *Delicious. *Unusual meats that can also be purchased for home use. *Love to see younger entrepreneurs successfully providing something new. Cons: *Not very comfortable seating. Most seats are just high stools with extremely low backs, providing no real back support. Sure, they look cool, but not everyone is 25-years-old and even some younger people have back problems, so seating for a diverse customer base is called for. *Loud environment. A din of noise due to poor acoustics. High ceilings with no materials for acoustic adjustments make for incessant loud ringing of voices and clatters. *High prices. Lunch at Industrial Eats is as expensive as dinner in many nice places, and this restaurant is not a fine-dining establishment, but very informal. ************************************************************************ The quality of the food and interesting menu deserve five stars, but the poor acoustics and uncomfortable seating bring it down a notch. Good food can't be enjoyed thoroughly in a stressful/uncomfortable environment. If I'm going to pay high prices, I want a relaxing, comfortable ambiance. The irritating noise-level combined with too high prices for such an informal establishment means I'll rarely go to Industrial Eats, which, in my book, earns three stars. Everything.Was.Good. With that being said let me elaborate. A decent sized place in a hidden side street close to the 101 exit by Solvang, Industrial Eats was a wonder in mouth watering dishes. The Janet, a rosemary ham sandwich, a punch in the face of pure rosemary hammy goodness, I couldn't help sing it's praises after every bite, only downside is that it was a smidgen tooooo fatty and I had to take some of it off before eating . 4/5 stars Meatball sandwich. First impression: HUGE. That thing was a massive plate of meaty goodness that was so in your face it had the dinners to the left and right of us at our communal table comment on it. Soft, saucy and breaks down in to a delightful mouthful with a hint of yummy crust. 5/5 stars Tunna sandwich. More a tuna panini, it was a surprisingly light and nonfishy dish, loved the crusty, crunchy bread it came with along with a side of mild arugula salad in a lemon olive oil vinnegreet, it didn't wow me was much as the other dises, but still quite good. 3/5 stars Small meat plate, came with a selection of three cured meats, chewy and crunchy bread, mustard as well as olives and pickles. I loved 2 out of 3 meats (we didn't get to pick), the last one was a bit spicy for my taste but still quite good. Duck prosciutto, spicy salami and Canadian prosciutto. 4/5 stars Service? EXCELLENT, my companion commented on how it felt like it was a family run mom and pop shop, and the homey feeling certainly gave that observation justice. Everyone was friendly, informative and attentive to the customers needs. 5/5 stars The only downside for me is that I live in LA =/ wish this place was closer, but if I'm ever in the area I am sure coming back! read more

There are a lot of good things to write about this restaurant....the hip ambiance (although a bit loud), very casual vibe, nice prices, imaginative menu, great service, and use of locally sourced artisan ingredients. However at the end of the day it is all about taste. So while I think there is a great menu here, unfortunately subtlety is not what you will find. The flavors are overpowering and rich. For instance, the mushroom cheese dish is exceptionally rich, the pizza with cheese and rosemary has a ton of rosemary on it...even the hibiscus iced tea hammers you with flavor. Too, too much. I just think this place would do better to "back off" - so to speak - on the richness and concentration of the food. This might seem like a weird comment to make about it, but my wife at least was in 100% agreement with me.
