Also, if anything's cold there, you can't ask them to get it hot otherwise they'll eye roll on you and be rude. If the dishes in the buffet are empty, you'll have to scrap off. Okay, what is that green dipping sauce, and why has it not been in my life before?!? The only complaints I can possibly come up with for this place are that they don't have an option to buy that sauce by the vat, and that everything on the menu looks so flippin' good, that its hard to choose what to order! Since we had never been there before, we played it on the safe side and got the Chicken Tikka Salad, Mixed Grill and the Garlic Naan. We wound up with zero leftovers, and it had nothing to do with portion sizes. We just didn't want to stop eating the food! I had the chicken tikka masala and it was good! However, my party of 3 ordered the same thing as me and they only brought out one bowl of rice. We were expecting to each get our own individual bowls of rice as it wasn't enough for the three of us. The service was kinda lacking also as we had to ask for the check 3 times. This was my first experience with Indian cuisine and it was delightful! I found myself saying "Mmmm!" after every indulgent bite. We treated ourselves to the buffet offered on a Monday evening and enjoyed a taste of various flavors and dishes such as chicken tikka Masala, white fish, curried lentils, veggie fritters, and chai tea. Plus the $13 buffet included a bottomless basket of fresh and hot Naan bread (garlic or regular) of which we easily made our way through two full baskets! The vibes were homey and the service was friendly. There's a full bar and fair wine list, I was excited to try a plum wine, but found it far too sweet for my palate. I am SO glad I didn't order pizza tonight. I'll tell you, this place gets an A for effort. It's designed beautifully, with very nice decor. Everything is well-ordered and service is spot-on and attentive. They have a buffet not only for lunch but for dinner as well, and the selection is generous. The food is excellent, and as you can see, there is already no shortage of people here telling you this--even though this place has only been open about two weeks, it has already made for itself such a good reputation that all I can do is agree with what has been written about it by many others. When I was getting my food, they were temporarily out of chicken tikka masala, but was told that a new tray would be out in minutes. When the time came, I didn't even have to leave my seat, for a bowl of the tasty meat was placed right in front of me. That's another A for service, and certainly one for the food. I've enjoyed a lot of Indian buffets but this one is my all time favorite. I am ecstatic that they serve buffet for dinner as well since Kohinoor was the only place to do that until they closed. They're dishes aren't spicy at all, but that's okay since they are well spiced. They have a great selection for vegetarians and meat lovers. One thing that separates this place from every Indian buffet I've ever dined at is that they have bottomless mango lassis. Their chai tea is also excellent. I've been there 4 times in the past 2 weeks and it's almost always busy. Their prices are SUPER competitive so I'm wondering what they'll do first once they've got an established fan base, raise their rates or cut the mango lassi. I find their deserts to be super sweet, like most Indian buffets but the halwa is perfect. It's only on the weekend menu but if you go during the week they're happy to serve you some on request. Would recommend low spice eaters to try this place, maybe not for people looking for authentic taste. Mongo lassi lacked thickness and taste. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The food was amazing. I had the medium spicy lamb curry and it was very delicious and had just the right amount of spice. We ordered a garlic naan and cheese naan and they were flavorful. The rice that went with the curry was a generous portion and it had a great flavor to it.
