Haven't been here for nearly a year. Was watching a food show about India, and developed a craving. Invited my brother to join me. The buffet had a good variety of both vegetarian and meat dishes, and we tried them all. Besides the basmati rice, there was a chicken rice that was tasty. In the meat dishes, I found the ratio of meat to other ingredients to be just right. Overall, the spice level was low, easy to enjoy. The hot, fresh baked Naan was delicious. Help yourself to hot chai, and mango lassi. Several choices for dessert, excuse my not knowing the Indian names , a sweet rice pudding which was rather thin and watery. A sweet carrot pudding, delicious. A Mango and pineapple dish and the usual round balls in a sweet syrup. Relaxed atmosphere which hasn't changed in the 12 years I've been coming here. Great value, comforting food, and pleasant staff make this place my go to for Indian food. read more

Been here before for the lunch buffet and returned for more. We were seated immediately and headed for the buffet. The meat dishes are all to the right which for a non meat eater is awesome. I started with the Dahl and the potato cauliflower dish.. golbi aloo. So good! Nicely spiced and full of cauliflower florets that have not been mashed into potato texture. So yummy. We were given piping hot flat breads, seasoned with ghee and a touch of garlic and chopped cilantro ..enough to scoop up the dal. Spinach paneer was there, and pretty spicy but delicious. There was a garbanzo dish as well and a few others I do not know, but my plate was full. I always try the carrot halva, sweet and delicious. A soft touch to the palate. The raita cooled the palate as well, prepping me for the rice pudding, which was cardamom forward, but cool and sweet. Finish off with chai, and I'm a happy person. This place is worth the drive! It feels like I'm at a relative's house, all the staff is working with you and is amazingly friendly. The ambiance is really nice, I enjoyed it. The price is super affordable and the food... Let me tell you about the food it is AMAZING!! It's a buffet with the perfect selection of food. Doesn't have a huge amount of selections, but in my book it's perfect. I would rather have a smaller menu where every thing is on point. It is divided in 3 sections: meat, vegetables, and desserts/salad. I was greedy and tasted all the meat selections, every single one was well cooked and very flavorful. It has a good amount of spice so that most people can enjoy it, those with little tolerance and those with a higher spice tolerance. My favorite by far is the chicken tikka masala. Another bonus for me is the mango lassi. It is soooooooo good. It's always enjoyable to have a small glass during my meal. Highly recommend this place. Oh! Best buffet in town, by a mile! A ton of options, especially for vegetarians. And the only buffet I've seen with vindaloo. Highly recommend!

India Oven used to be very good. Post pandemic, this restaurant sucks. I went the other day and the service was terrible. We had to wait 15 minutes to get the naan bread, which is halfway through the meal. On top of that, the naan was completely burn and dry, old reheated bread. Later I asked for more bread, the clueless waiter gave me the "Hold On" hand, waited 5 minutes, and brought me more stale, dry, black burnt bread. No garlic either, just plain dry bread. Normally the bread is served in a basket with paper. We got it on a tiny plate. But our neighboring table got the basket with paper. Why discriminate? They probably got fresh naan. They also removed the goat curry from the buffet. Worst is that some days, the food is mild and edible. Other days the same menu items are ultra spicy and inedible. Overall the service got worse, the food got worse, and the prices went up from $11 to $15 per person in 2 years. Literally, I'll never return here, and we used to come all the time. You can't serve me stale old naan bread and still get my business again! read more

The food was luke warm and tasted rancid. The heaters under the hot plate were not functioning. I tried the goat , but it had an odd taste. Later on in the evening, I was violently sick and throwing up. 3 days later , I returned to the restaurant and complained about the goat . One of the cooks then told me , that they mix beef in the goat to keep the prices down !!. Being a staunch Hindu , I never eat beef and felt violated and cheated . Got takeout and it was excellent. I ordered the goat curry and my husband ordered the vegetable korma. Also got the garlic naan, samosas, and the gulab jamun, which are small balls of sweet honey and cheese deliciousness. I loved my goat curry so much, could not get enough of it! Ambiance- it was okay. Playing the typical Punjabi music which I like. Nice and dimmed. Nothing fancy. They have a semi full bar. Service- they get a 5/5 for service. Walked in and immediately seating. All male service staff which is standard for Indian restaurants...don't ask why. Water was always filled and they asked couple of times how everything was. Food- unfortunately, was mediocre for a Indian dude. They did have a dinner buffet but I refuse to eat Indian buffets. They normally have less flavor. Ordered the Achari chicken. It was bland. Indian food should never be bland. Malai kofta was okay as well. Had better. Garlic naan locked very tasty and fresh but was cold. Overall, there is room for improvement. read more

India Oven is the way to go if you are looking for a great buffet at a fair price! I dropped by with a friend on a weeknight to satisfy my indian food craving and was not disappointed! We both went with the buffet and I was glad to see that there were ample vegetarian dishes for me to feast on (aloo gobi, dal makhni, paneer tikka masala, saag, veg korma, etc) ! I honestly tried a bit of everything and have to say that the saag was super good. This is coming from a girl who doesn't even like spinach so it says a lot! The paneer tikka masala wasn't as flavorful as I'm accustomed to so it was bit of a letdown but everything else was delicious and definitely brought my spirits up. There is an appetizer section with samosa and pakora and even a small papdi chaat station where you can put your own plate together! Has all the chutneys, raita, and mashed up potato/garbanzo mixture you need. The buffet also has chai and mango lassi included and aside from the rice, they will bring naan to your table to accompany your meal. The chicken tikka masala utilizes considerable dark chicken meat mixed in with the tandoori chicken breast. It's not nearly as good as when the dish is made with all tandoori cooked chicken breast like all other Indian restaurants that we've eaten at. I called the restaurant (we had takeout) and they confirmed that their chicken tikka masala is made with dark meat added to the dish. This will be the first and last time we eat India Oven food as we are tikka masala fans and theirs is not very good because of the dark meat. If this is the only place that you've had this dish, try a new place because it can be so much better tasting without the dark meat mixed in. read more

I like this place. Buffet is awesome. However, a bit on a spicy side. Note: If you order through Uber Eats or a la carte, you can choose mild option. Chicken Tikka and Chicken Tikka Masala are both amazing. Creamy, not too tomato-ey. Very nice balance. Their rice is also unique, has some veggies in there, but not in overpowering way. The only thing I found odd is that their Murg Makhani tasted basically the same as Chicken Tikka Masala, just had a less tender chicken pieces. So I'd be sticking to CTM from now on. What in the heck is going on here? I am completely lost on how anyone can give this place more than the min 1star. Food: We opted for the buffet, as we were hungry and figured that was the best way to avoid any additional wait time. Chicken Masala - Usually chicken breast chunks in sauce. Not here, mostly dark meat, poorly prepped; with silverskin still on most chicken pieces. FYI silverskin is a nearly transparent membrane, beneath the skin covering the flesh: which should be disregarded! l have NEVER had it on any chicken item eaten at a restaurant. That is a sign of untrained kitchen staff and/or undercooked chicken. Tandori Chicken - Pretty decent, albeit somewhat cold. Rest of items on the buffet were mostly cold or lukewarm. Lamb stew was overcooked. Buffet: During our visit nothing was refilled on the buffet, until the masala bin was completely empty for about 5 minutes and then a new bin was brought in. Tandori had 2-3 pieces for a while, then none and not refilled while we were there. Service: Had to be flagged down for any refills. Most managers, if concerned with service or lack of staff; would just drop off a pitcher of water, if they dont want to be bothered. Soda refills, mostly ice and again had to flag them down for refills. Overall: No way are we ever coming back. $19 for buffet+ drinks. Food was beyond awful. This is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to and I am sorry to say that. read more

Indian food buffets are amazing, for starters. Any time I eat Indian food, I almost always stick to tikka masala or butter chicken, so this is such a great opportunity to expand your horizon, while still getting your fix. I will say, there wasn't a HUGE variety, but I think that's partially due to covid. That being said, I still managed to almost explode due to overeating. I feel like the options that they did have were pretty good quality. When eating at a buffet, you always have to worry about sacrificing quality for quantity, but I was pleasantly surprised. This has been one of my favorite go to Indian restaurants for years! Not exactly sure why I haven't written a review, maybe I keep thinking it will change, but it doesn't, it's always very good! Why? They are one of the few Indian restaurant that offers a buffet for dinner. The service is always, always friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is outstanding with a broad selection to choose from. Some menu items change occasionally which is great for mixing things up when you return. However, their staple items are also excellent. Extremely authentic and flavorful entrées include at least 8 to 10 different items, plus a delicious mango drink, hot Indian tea, continuous warm soft naan delivered to your table, prompt drink refills and several dessert choices. The value is excellent, only about $10 per person. Atmosphere is good, relaxed, casual. There are several TVs always playing Indian music videos or Indian shows with Indian music playing in the background, the nice, fun, upbeat kind, not too loud, just right. It is a clean place, never a concern. I like that India Oven is family owned and operated and over several years I've always seen the same friendly faces here. It's rare to find such an excellent combination of service, quality and value. Would I go back? Absolutely! I eat here about once every other month, even though it's a 25 minute drive from my home. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal, extremely authentic and flavorful, served in a friendly atmosphere with great value. I went to India Oven on the weekend for the buffet. I didn't have to wait to be seated. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. My glass was never empty. I really enjoyed the paneer tika masala. Probably my favorite from the whole buffet. The chicken vindaloo was also another favorite of mine from the buffet. I think the staff is use to people only eating the buffet. We sat down for like 7 minutes prior to us flagging down a server and asking to see a menu. We ordered a white wine and were served a red that flavor could only be described as "turned". We told the server we had ordered white wine and they told us we were wrong - they only have red. The items on the buffet looked as though they had been there for hours and hours. I pray none of our group gets food poisoning. Two different chicken dishes were ordered at our table and we are pretty sure they served the same dish to both of us. We had another amazing experience at India Oven tonight. The meat and vegetable dishes and desserts were all delicious and the wait service superb. Plus, my vegetarian brother was very pleased. My favorite ended up being the tofu-looking cheese squares in orange sauce. The potato balls had the best yellow curry, which was a little too spicy for me, but the mango lassi and mango and rice puddings were perfect for cooling the palate. Yum! read more
