Veggie buffet

I'll admit the ambiance could use some help, but the food made up for that. Had the lunch buffet today and it was all good. The weakest item was the tandoori chicken. But everything else was surprisingly flavorful. The employees were friendly and helpful. We will be back.

This was a pretty solid spot! I had been once or twice before but since it had been so long, I suggested this place. My boba sistah and I met up for lunch with her little one and I was ready for some Indian food. There were a few people there when we arrived around noon and more trickled in as the afternoon passed. It's a quick spot since you don't have to order and wait to be served. Basically, you choose your table and pick up a plate or two to fill up. We were given ice water and garlic naan, a great start. I was impressed with the variety and quantity of options available: quite a few vegetarian dishes as well. I really appreciated the mango lassi and chai, both of which were delicious. I enjoyed the food, especially the daal and the chicken tikka masala, a classic. I would probably pass on the chicken tandoori next time, too much work ;-). I'm usually pretty good at pacing myself and only getting what I know I can eat, but this time I overdid it. It might've been the spicy jalapeño and veggies that I grabbed to make my meal more "healthy", but know your limits folks. Didn't want to waste food. Overall, a good Indian buffet and worth the price of $18.99 ($20.99 for dinner). The gulab jamun was so tasty as well! Service was prompt and friendly.

Rude and disrespectful owner

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE. Restaurant was not CLEAN. Owner was very rude and disrespectful. Refused to give me my order after showing him the order number and my ID

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!! We came back to India oven after our last experience six or seven years ago(?) We have been coming here for many years prior to that. The service started to go down as they got busier and more popular. The food quality started to go down significantly I have to think this was like 2016 or 2017. I started leaving the Yelp reviews for them because I updated good reviews down to fewer stars. It said as long as the service stayed the same and the food was as good, I was happy to share them getting more business. I updated and said things were lacking and detailed reasons, and then another three late years. I updated my review that they were indeed getting even worse and I wouldn't be back. Food quality, cleanliness, and service, not just price. We began going to another place just a half mile away south of the 60, it is smaller, but the food quality and cleanliness is so much better. We only came back to India oven yesterday because our other place (not allowed to name here) does not have a dinner buffet. And we were in a hurry. Almost every food choice was dried out and seemed to be left over from lunch even the rice I mean, who doesn't replenish rice? He brought out a small serving bowl of rice when a lady complained who came in after us. You could tell they did not want to replace anything that They didn't have to. It was 6 PM prime dinner hour. Thursday night I was shocked to see one table full only and said to my husband, this is not good. He decided let's try it anyway we each ate one plate and I was consistently worried about how I was gonna feel later. It was dirty inside and it makes you wonder if they don't clean the area the public can see what does the back room look like? I can stay with 100% certainty we will never ever be back. We will never ever recommend this place and we would be absolutely shocked if it's open for another year. We used to think that money must come from the catering and banquet side because the restaurant is absolutely unacceptable. Any of you that used to hope this place went back to what it used to be 10 years ago, don't bother. Thank goodness I did not get sick last night but boy oh boy it was a gamble. Here's a picture of the fan above our table, all of the pipes and everything in the ceiling above our table were an inch of dust must be years and years since anything has been cleaned thank God they did not turn the fan on. Gamble if you wish by coming here, we will not make that mistake again.

Mango lassi

I went for the lunch buffet and had a little bit of everything. It was soooooo good! The mango lassi is a MUST as always. But everything was delicious. Not too spicy but really good flavors. The Naan was thin, crispy and chewy and just the way I like it. And they didn't skimp out either! I hate having to ask for extra naan when a place only gives you one or two peices. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the rice had dried out and gotten hard. But I would definitely come back again

My mom loved this place years ago and suggested we try for dinner. They push the buffet, so we all did it. Several items were lukewarm or not warm at all, which can be common for a buffet. I do love that they have an array of vegetarian options, even if they were the freshest and warm. The service was friendly, but the decor did seem dated and cluttered. Overall, not a favorite but a decent option for a vegetarian meal.

Ask the Community - India Oven

Hi, is there a reason that online pickup orders are not allowed for dinner? I'm trying to avoid $20+ worth of delivery driver tips and other delivery-based fees on a $65 subtotal.

Is the buffet open every day and at what times?

The lunch buffet, is 11, to 2:30.

How much is dinner buffet?

$19

Is there a full bar?

It's pretty tiny

What is the price for the lunch buffet?

$15.00

Are there any vegan (no meat, no egg, no dairy) options?

There are vegetarian choices. However most of Indian food is cooked in ghee which comes from butter. So even mixed vegetables wouldn't be strictly vegan. Paneer while vegetarian is made from cheese so also would not be vegan.

Do you have buffett open?

Yes it is open

Is your buffet open?

Yes it is open. We went 2-3 months ago

Do india oven, serve indian fry bread?

No. They serve food from the country of India. It's not a Native American Indian restaurant.

**Eagles Buffet at Casino Arizona - $60 Crab Legs, a Little Exercise, and a Few Surprises**…read more It was Wednesday night, and we had one thing on our minds: crab legs. Not fine dining, not culinary sophistication, just a good old-fashioned seafood feast where the only limit should be your appetite. We'd visited Eagles Buffet twice before. The first time, we stood in line for over an hour. The second time, we gave up after ten minutes. This time, we arrived early, hoping to avoid the human traffic jam. To our surprise, the line was reasonable, and we were seated quickly. A promising start. Now, let's talk money. At $59.99 per person, this isn't exactly a bargain, but considering today's restaurant prices, all-you-can-eat crab legs don't sound unreasonable. Get yourself a casino rewards card and save 5%. Not much, but every dollar counts. Bringing the kids? Brace yourself. They're $59.99 each, too, without the discount. Apparently, childhood doesn't come with a reduced appetite around here. On to the food. The buffet offers the usual suspects you'd find at just about any American buffet, only with a surprisingly limited selection. Watery mashed potatoes, bland gravy, overcooked green beans, forgettable fish, ordinary roast beef, and butterfly shrimp that were a little greasy but edible. Nothing particularly offensive, but nothing worth writing home about either. Then there's the main attraction: the crab legs. They're served one cluster at a time. That's right, one cluster. So after dropping $60, prepare yourself for a little cardio between servings. Wear comfortable shoes, practice your patience, and keep smiling at the lady guarding the crab legs. She's simply doing her job, but you'd think she was handing out gold nuggets. There are cold salads and a handful of other dishes, but at nearly $60 a head, I wasn't there to fill up on lettuce. The desserts, however, deserve some applause. A great selection and a genuinely delicious ice cream bar. Easily one of the highlights of the evening. A few things worth knowing before you go. If you're dining with a group of six or seven or more, expect an automatic gratuity. Even when everyone pays separately, that additional $12-$15 per person can appear on individual checks. Suddenly, your $60 buffet is approaching $75. Something worth clarifying before sitting down. And keep an eye on the kids. Let's just say the restaurant manager made her presence known during our visit. I'll leave it at that. The casino itself is as good as any other place to donate a few dollars to the gambling gods. Parking can be challenging, and the restrooms earned a respectable B on the Luis Scale. Yes, Luis was along for the adventure, and yes, he personally inspected the facilities. Standards must be maintained. The verdict? Eagles Buffet isn't a culinary destination. It's a place where you pay a premium to crack crab legs, make repeated trips to the serving station, and hopefully eat enough seafood to justify the bill. The desserts help, but the ordinary buffet offerings don't exactly inspire a standing ovation. Would I return? Possibly, but strictly for the crab legs, and preferably with comfortable shoes. As always, take care of your servers and tip them well, unless gratuity has already been added to your bill. Until the next culinary adventure... On to the next!

I can not believe the situation that just happened. My mother who is 75 just paid for us to eat…read moredinner. She left $5 on her card and had asked me if I had cash. As she was getting up the waitress came over and moved the pen to look at the amount of the tip. She then said "not even 10%". My mother replied yes, that's all I did on my card". The waitress shook her head and said "haha that's not even 10%" and then shook her head at my mom and started laughing. While laughing and shaking her head while starting at my mom, she started talking to the woman at the front desk. Mind you, I was standing there watching all of this while going to pull out cash from my wallet to leave for a 20% cash tip". As I stood there she continued to laugh and stare at us, while speaking to the other waitress about how my mother didn't leave 10%. I confronted her and I said, "I am standing here pulling out cash for you and you have the nerve to sit there staring at us talking badly because on the card you didn't get 10%?". She rolled her eye at me and continued to talk to the lady at the counter. My mom told her "I said that's all I could do on my card. " She shook her head at my mom, rolling her eyes and then laughed even more with the other lady. I made my mother and my family go outside to wait, while I asked for a manager. She looked at me and continued to laugh" haha a manager, oh yeah she is a manager(talking about the lady who had been at the counter talking and laughing with her)". I looked at the lady at the counter and said "you are a manager? So you allow and laugh with your employees at customers." She shook her head and told the waitress to go get the other manager and walk away, the waitress said no and then told me again "you can talk with her". I couldn't believe it. Then the lady at the counter told the waitress to walk away again and how could she help. "I said well first, I am standing here with my wallet open and you can see me but yet, she continues to say things to you and shake her head at us. I was going to leave more than 10% in cash but the way she just handled herself and the way you are handling it now I don't think she should get anything. Tipping is not legally mandatory, you work for it. So the way she is treating us now because she wanted to laugh instead of hear us when we said we were leaving cash, tell me would you tip?" She said "no, I am sorry and then told another waitress to not ask customer for 10% tips." I said "that wasn't the point, it was more the way she acted and the way she held herself when asking." It wasn't a polite conversation of thank you, we normally ask for at least 10%. Then listened when we did we are leaving cash. So, yeah I guess the staff is nice if you make sure they can see the 10% or more left on your card and not someone standing with cash. Otherwise you are a laughing stock who makes 75 year old women cry.

I'd likely would have skipped, but some Yelp friends left decent reviews so I gave it a go. When you arrive, you will pay then be taken to a seat. Your server mainly just refills a drink, and you get your food items yourself. For $18.99 (Monday-Thursday Dinner Buffet price), it's not terribly priced; but also, the food quality just isn't there to justify the price. A lot of the food is greasy, and left me feeling uneasy. Most of the food out, looked decent in terms of quality and freshness while fairly clean. Personally, I would pass but if you like a super buffet then this one is fairly decent.

0/5 Stars - Terrible Experience, Unsafe Food Handling, paid $98 for 4 people with no drinks…read more This was one of the worst buffet experiences we've had. The restaurant was extremely overcrowded, and the chairs were so close together that they kept hitting each other whenever people tried to get up or walk by. The music was completely inappropriate for a family restaurant. Some songs contained racial slurs and explicit language, making it an uncomfortable environment for children and families. The food was bland, lacked flavor, and had an unpleasant smell. Even worse, there were no clear allergy labels on the food. My father has an egg allergy, and we specifically asked an employee whether a dish contained egg. We were told it did not, but afterward, my father became seriously ill and spent two days throwing up. This was extremely concerning and could have been dangerous for someone with a food allergy. A restaurant serving a buffet should take food safety and allergy awareness seriously. Customers should be able to trust the information provided by employees, especially when it comes to potentially life-threatening allergies. Between the overcrowding, inappropriate music, poor food quality, and serious concerns about allergy safety, this experience was unacceptable. We will not be returning, and I would strongly encourage management to improve the dining environment, food quality, and allergy labeling procedures.
