Took our chances with no reservations available on Friday night and hit the bar. Tyler and Jeremy were great with cocktails, service and made the evening enjoyable. Beyond drinks, we ordered the burrata, a pizza, meatballs and crispy potatoes and had plenty to take home. Also I was really looking forward to the pastas but because of the holidays they didn't have it on the menu. We sat outside in the heated patio (dog friendly) and ordered a pizza, mushroom panini, and cacio e Pepe salad. The mushroom panini was made with focaccia and didn't have much "meat" inside (the ratio was a little off). I was mostly having mouthfuls of the bread. A three star Yelp review translates to "A-OK" for me, and while a recent meal at Indaco delivered some tasty bites ultimately my wife and I had a solid if unremarkable experience. We are big fans of Italian food and love going to restaurants that serve both fresh pasta and Neopolitan style pizzas. Indaco's menu of appetizing options appealed to us and we snagged a reservation for Friday dinner. The restaurant resides in the Ford Factory Lofts complex; patrons can park either via valet for a fee or in the nearby garage with complimentary validation. The ambiance here, while date night appropriate, feels a little disjointed. The front of the restaurant feels energetic and almost nautical with blue accents and a big open kitchen, while the back of the restaurant feels a little more moody and intimate. We chose to share four items: the crispy potatoes, mushroom pizza, lamb rigatoni, and pork pappardelle. Our excellent waiter suggested coursing out the meal and starting with the potatoes and pizza and enjoying the pastas as our main course. The first two dishes, unfortunately, fell flat. The potatoes lacked the expected crisp, and could have used more of the otherwise tasty aioli. The mushroom pizza ate quite salty, and the dough itself did not possess the complex flavor and puffiness I like in a Neopolitan pie. These dishes, subsequently, tasted forgettable. Our pastas, fortunately, fared better, as both benefitted from fresh, chewy noodles and tomato forward, meaty flavor profiles. My wife preferred the lamb for its more strongly flavored ragu, while I enjoyed the pappardelle for its tender pork and spicier kick. While good, we've had similar or better pasta dishes elsewhere in the city, and at both nearly $30 a pop these were spendy. Service represented a highlight here. Our waiter possessed knowledge of the menu, kept waters full, coursed the meal comfortably, and meticulously organized silverware/plates during service. While we had some good pasta here and great hospitality, Indaco's ho hum non pasta dishes will prevent us from coming back here over our other favorite Italian haunts in town. read more

My wife and I tried Indaco for the first time tonight, and will definitely be returning again soon. The whole experience, from the atmosphere, the food and most importantly, the service was top notch. We really cannot say enough good things about Indaco. We arrived early for our dinner reservation, but despite the busy night, we were seated promptly at a nice table on the patio. The host quickly offered us water, and provided us our menus, and our waiter, Randy, quickly followed him to the table. Being our first visit, he walked us through the menu, made lots of fantastic recommendations and even shared his favorite wines with us (great suggestions too). Fortunately, we showed up hungry, so we sampled the focaccia, burrata, and charred broccolini salad before our meal. The burrata was done if the best we've had outside of Italy and the focaccia was fresh, and served with really tasty butter and sorghum syrup. For our meals, we split the radiatori in pesto and the English pea and artichoke risotto. If we weren't in public, I would've licked my plate. Both dishes were incredible. We then topped off the night with the homemade pana cotta. Despite only wanting a taste, we finished it. I am already looking forward to our next visit and am planning on asking for Randy as our server when we do. He truly made it a memorable night for us. read more

It was my friend's birthday and I indicated that on the reservation. They asked whose birthday it was upon arrival, had a small bouquet of flowers waiting for her, menu said happy birthday. The space is beautiful, not stuffy, just very pretty. The pasta is perfectly cooked and tasty, the mussels and broth had good flavor though I wished there was more broth. The donut dessert with lemon and lavender and chocolate tart were both delicious. I hope they get more creative with their mocktail flavors as they sound interesting but the Pinocchio which is supposed to have coconut tasted like ginger beer lemon, a usual default mocktail. My husband and I had the most amazing experience at Indaco. The staff was aware we were celebrating our anniversary and the way they went above and beyond to celebrate with us is something we will never forget. We were given two glasses of champagne at no charge as well as the caramel soft serve for dessert (on top of the tiramisu we ordered!) for free as well - all to celebrate our anniversary. Destiny was our server and she was so amazing. She was friendly and personable- even chatted with us a bit about living in Nashville. Our food all the way around was incredible. Everything we got was amazing. At the end of our meal we got a card signed by the staff wishing us a happy anniversary and personalized by our waitress wishing us safe travels back to Nashville. My only complaint is that we live so far away!! If we find ourselves in Atlanta again we will absolutely be paying another visit to Indaco. read more

Highly recommend! To start, we opted for parking in the deck. It is located by the the Kroger on Ponce. The deck itself was a bit difficult to find and I would recommend they get a sign to let people know where validated deck parking is-- it's located right before the valet parking sign. I recommend against parking in the Kroger lot or deck. They validate parking for 2 hours. Getting to Indaco from the deck was a bit confusing. Signs indicating the way up would be an easy fix to this! It's located off the beltline sort of near the rooftop of Kroger. It's attached to an apartment/office building. Inside, the space is beautiful. The interior design is easy on the eyes and emphasizes Italian interior design with a laid-back feel. I was happy to get mid to high end food and service but without the arrogant vibes some white tabletop restaurants give off. We went on a Friday night and while it was moderately full, we were promptly seated by the host. He was very kind, friendly, and accommodating! The best part of our experience was the service. Unfortunately, I didn't get my server's name, but she was amazing! She had braids and (I think) blue/green dyed hair. Management, please take note because she is truly a keeper to your establishment! She greeted us quickly and was overall excellent. She even brought us complimentary Prosecco on the house since we were celebrating me passing my board exam! She was so thoughtful to bring my boyfriend a matching ginger ale to cheers with, remembering that he does not drink. It's the little things that truly matter, and this was truly so genuinely sweet of her. She was excellent in every way and super attentive, even making sure to see if we wanted our appetizer and entrees spaced out. I really appreciated this since my boyfriend and I usually share all the food anyways usually don't care for the order in which they come. I also liked seeing that there seemed to be such a teamwork essence here-- I noticed the manager would alternate between helping the host and also running food. At one point, there was no one at the host stand and I noticed him helping the servers by clearing empty glasses off patrons' tables. As someone who has worked in the service industry before, little things like this make a huge difference in the environment for both patrons and servers. As for food/drinks, I got Bibi's Ice Skate. It's an aperitif and tasted like a cappelletti spritz with a splash of cranberry. It was delicious! The house Prosecco was very good, not too dry yet not overly sweet like other house Prosecco's tend to be. I recommend against it if you prefer a drier sparkling wine. For food, we got the grilled octopus appetizer. Oh my goodness, this was BY FAR the best thing we ordered! The octopus was perfectly charred yet with the perfect texture inside. Presentation was great, and all of the other ingredients of this appetizer was complimentary of the octopus flavor rather than overpowering it. I don't like olives and I ate all of the olives on the octopus appetizer because the flavors went so well together! My boyfriend got the tagliatelle, a pork-based dish, for his entree. I would describe it as a pork carbonara with house-made fettuccine noodles. It was so perfectly made that he ate the ENTIRE dish, and he is typically not one to ever finish an entire entree. I got the pappardelle, a house-made pappardelle pasta with a wild boar ragu sauce. The boar had the texture of shredded chicken and the flavor of slightly gamey beef. I would recommend this for those who enjoy a gamey flavor. For dessert, we were deciding between the amaro monte hero, a pistachio orange soft serve with biscotti crumble, and the dark chocolate budino, a hazelnut whipped cream dessert with hazelnut crumble. Our server said the budino was her favorite, and I second the statement. It was amazing. The slightly salty hazelnut crumble on top paired with the Nutella-like texture of the mousse wonderfully. I loved how this dessert was perfectly sweet yet not too sweet-- I could taste the dark chocolate and hazelnut flavors without the taste of sugar taking away from the two. It tasted like it was made with very little ingredients, and I highly recommend this for hazelnut lovers! Overall, I give this place a 5/5 stars. I wasn't crazy about my meal but the squid ink risotto is a MUST try. Very rich and flavorful but be careful it is SPICY (and I have a high heat tolerance.
