I cannot explain the depth of gratitude I have for Mike and his team.  We had water damage in our home which caused our floors both tile and hardwood to be replaced.  We were blessed to meet with Mike Lohner from IMS Relocation to go over the process.  He was very nice and professional.  He worked well with the schedule our contractor (Richard Williams and Associates) had in place.  When the decision was made to start the packing process Tony, Warner and Lucio came to our home to pack up the  accessories, dishes, pictures, food etc.  They took pictures of everything stored inside of the cabinets, drawers, closets and also the pictures on the wall so they would know where to return everything.  They were so professional and very hard working.  Once they boxed everything up, they stacked the boxes neatly for the next crew to come and load onto the truck. Rito, Bobby and Ken came the next day to pack and load up all the furniture and the boxes.  They were so good!  They arrived in an 18 wheeler filled with individual containers. They loaded up each container until it was full and locked it in front of us.  It doesn't get unlocked until the furniture is returned.  Rito, Bobby and Ken had the best personalities and truly cared about what they were doing.  They made me feel like we had been friends for years!  There was also an electrician and and someone who disconnected the computer and TVs as well.  My apologies to them, I was not home when they came so I didn't get their names but everything was neatly done and I appreciate everything they did!   This has been an terrific experience for me and my family.  IMS really set the tone!  I have truly enjoyed the entire experience.  Everyone at IMS is terrific and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of relocating in the future! read more

When a pipe burst in our home and all of our belongings had to be removed. These guys were so great exclamation point the packing crew came in and neatly packed and safely stored our items and upon completion of our new floors they returned all of our and set all furniture exactly where we wanted. I paid IMS to pickup pack store and move my house hold belongings. I paid them a fortune over 10,000. After delivery I was missing parts to put the True treadmill back together (IMS took it a part). I was also missing all the hardware to put my bunk beds together (IMS took it a part). I reached out to Mike Lohner to check with the delivery people where the parts were, Mike was no help and quit returning calls. I would not recommend them! read more

From 02/07/19 to 06/03/22, I had a home full of furnishings stored with IMS. My contact during this time and and previous moves was Mike Lohner, owner. The original date of the move from Carrollton to San Antonio was 06/02/22. Mike had no knowledge why the crew didn't show for the move on June 2. This required another overnight stay at a hotel. After unpacking which took a while, it was discovered that a box was missing from the kitchen items. Namely, 8 cups that got separated from a new and unused set of dishes and some small kitchen appliances. When I contacted Mike, he was on vacation and called me upon his return. I later asked that he/his team look for the missing box which I felt had inadvertently been left behind in the warehouse. Despite numerous calls, emails, and texts, I've not heard back from Mike though he claims to have responded. I have no record of this in my email, cell phone calls, texts, or home landline. I am, of course, deeply disappointed as I had done business with Mike on several other occasions. I was never offered a claim form or reimbursement for the hotel room, and missing box. I am certainly willing to let Mike use his discretion for reimbursement provided that it is fair and more than $1.00. Zero would be better. One of their loading crew stole $1,100 from a back-pack in my bathroom during our move. I reported it immediately. I honestly didn't expect them to compensate me, but I did expect some sort of outreach from management. Didn't happen. It took almost 50 days for someone from IMS to even call me and that required me writing an email and copying the owners. Didn't hear from an owner, just the Operations Manager. File this under "Customer service at it's worst." And guess what? I was a repeat customer. Never again. Lesson learned. Stay away from this company. read more

Only hire them if you want a lawsuit. Gross negligence and misrepresentation on behalf of IMS Relocation / Mayflower caused severe damage to the majority of our possessions, many of which were antiques and family heirlooms. The YouTube video that outlines their relocation procedure was completely false. Instead of arriving at the final destination in the crates as promised, they were wedged and shoved into a minivan without care. As the shipment was unloaded, it became obvious that there was extensive damage due to their packing method of cramming everything into a much too small space. Some items that didn't fit had been unpacked out of boxes and were loose in the van. I witnessed crew members taking flattened boxes out of the van and repacking them. The items were so badly awry that at one point a mover carried in a box of Christmas cards in one hand and a book in the other, shrugging and saying that they had been loose in the van. Every item of our custom Peruvian mahogany and leather furniture was damaged. Arms were torn off chairs and leather was punctured. The items were completely covered in scratches and indentions. Many items were broken, including an inherited irreplaceable ancient Peruvian tome. Some of our boxes didn't even make it to the final destination, including several boxes of books and a box containing kitchen items as well as inherited wedding china and antique teacups. I was asked to document the damage, which I did. My document was 85 pages long. Mike Lohner, the CEO, stated that IMS Relocation / Mayflower is at fault for this situation, but he shirks responsibility and points fingers at the company they contracted to complete the move, EuroUSA. I have never signed a contract with anyone other than IMS Relocation / Mayflower and do not understand why IMS Relocation / Mayflower representatives think that their choice in contractors is not their responsibility. The finger pointing is unprofessional and frustrating. Mike Lohner, the CEO, quickly stopped answering phone calls and emails. I tried for months to get a response. I could not get any response from him or Mayflower. It required me flying across the Atlantic and showing up in his office from overseas for him to even speak to me. At this time he was extremely unprofessional and still shirked responsibility. It was at this time that I discovered that he hadn't even looked at the 85 page document he had asked me to create. I arrived in his office looking to settle matters ourselves. I was very willing to work with them. All I asked for was a simple refund of the fee, which is only a mere fraction of the damage done to the items. He has paid $1500 (less than half of the refund I'm requesting) and told me his business partner will send an additional $300. This business partner has commented that they do not believe the damage was real or significant. What an insult. This partial refund may seem like a nice gesture, but considering the severe extent of the damage, the blatant ignoring of us because we were across the Atlantic, and that they threw away irreplaceable family heirlooms, it too is a slap in the face. (I'd like to mention that I added photos to document the damage they did to accompany this review. The photos were extensive and showed the negligence by IMS Relocation. Yelp took them down because they said they did not represent the business as a whole, a statement I strongly disagree with.) read more

The packing and care with which my goods were handled was very good. Unfortunately, that is the only positive thing I can say about it. The customer service has generally been abysmal with marginal glimmers of helpfulness. When every company in the world was updating their customers on interruptions to their services during COVID, IMS couldn't have cared less waiting for me to contact them to get an update. Initially questions asked of the company regarding the procedures for my shipment were met with clipped and surly replies. This improved slightly later in the process, but finally, 5 months and 18 days after they picked up my goods they were delivered today (having been told it would take around 12 weeks and having had to harass constantly for information on what was going on). Avoid the frustration and find a more reputable company - one that seems to care about its customers. read more

Our movers were great, showed up on time and wrapped everything very carefully before transporting. Friendly and efficient workers and all our stuff made it to our new residence safe and sound. Reason it's 4 instead of 5 stars is the pre-move communication; after getting an estimate and setting a date, didn't hear anything back for a week, emailed and didn't hear back, and then finally got the contract less than 24 hours before the move. So it all worked out fine but was a little nerve-wracking when I didn't get the paperwork on the schedule I had been told, then couldn't confirm if the date was a go or not. I had a great experience with IMS with my move from Dallas to Houston. Mike and his moving team arrived on time for my move and got started right away. I ordered the packing service and all my items were packaged carefully and quickly. Well worth the cost not to have to pack all my stuff myself. The crew arrived at my new Houston address on time the next morning and got started right away. Everything was placed properly and quickly. I was a little worried about some of my furniture and art, but everything made it in the same condition it left in. The only things that broken were the things that I packed myself and took with me in my personal vehicle - I thought they would be safer if I packed them and took them with me. My bad. *Stole $16,000* Terrible Terrible Terrible!!!!! IMS Relocation was quick at setting up the appointment and taking our money but when I had any issues they were terrible!!!! We had a hole in the wall that was never fixed or followed up on. They also hire a 3rd party to do the Washer & Dryer and didn't take any responsibility at all with any issues with them. I spoke over the phone with their sales rep Dan about needing to protect our upholstered furniture and our most precious items while we remodeled our home. Dan suggested that I store a SAM container with all of our valuables in their air conditioned warehouse. We paid a premium for this service. In the spring, Dan again confirmed that our storage container was in an "air conditioned warehouse" when I called with concerns about the safety of our valuables. This November, we received our container, it was filled with rodent droppings, mold, a stench that words cannot describe and many of our items had become yellowed and discolored. The movers said it was obvious that our container sat in a field some where. It breaks my heart that we put such trust in this company. Both of the actual moving crews (loading old house in TX, delivery to new house in TN) were polite, courteous & a pleasure to work with. If my rating was just for them, it would be a 5. I received one item (a TV) that wasn't mine on the delivery, but that may have happened at the storage facility in between & I had to coordinate delivery of it to the actual owners (who moved to a town about 40 miles from me)...thought this was strange that I had to do this rather than the company who made the error. Customer service at the end of the move (filing damage claim) would be rated a 2 - each of my inquiries took weeks & multiple requests for even acknowledgement of receipt, never mind answers. Only when I said I'd elevate to higher levels w/in IMS by certain dates did I receive responses. It shouldn't have to take this much effort to have someone respond when this is their business. We recently moved with IMS relocations. They were one of the most professional and courteous and hard-working group of men I have ever seen. The packers that came the day before, two sweet ladies did an outstanding job of packing up all of our items. KC, Shaun and Eddie were extremely well knowledgeable of what they were doing and they did everything to protect our home as we are moving out as well as all of our furniture. I'm an experienced international and local mover from military brat to corporate life. This company comes across well during the estimate phase. Their weakness is in packing and logistics. Similar to the other reviews, the packers threw things in boxes damaging many pieces and furniture. It was impossible to manage all of them as only one had English as a 2nd language. The rest spoke none. The delivery was one week later than promised causing us thousands in additional cost for hotels, etc. Compensation for broken furniture, extra cost, damaged and lost goods was $500. The one good note other than the estimator was the outsourced unpackers were excellent. Though even they said it was the worst packing job they had ever received. read more

They packed everything carefully the day before, then Rigo and his crew came early the day of the move to make sure everything was good. This company is not recommended!! The packers left my house with all the boxes piled in front of all the cabinets and drawers and the next day while loading the truck, we found kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers filled with items that were not packed. Good thing we double checked! Now this company currently has my belongings on a truck as I am trying to relocate from Texas to Tennessee. The driver has been harassing my husband and myself because he wants to get home to his family in N. Carolina. It doesn't matter that we signed a contract and agreed to delivery dates, this driver doesn't care! He started by insisting that he deliver my belongings days before I even got to the location, but finally agreed to wait for us. Then tonight the driver called me, sounding as if he were drunk, insisting that he deliver on HIS terms because "nothing will get in his way" to get home to his family. He rambled on the phone to both my husband and myself for approx. 30 minutes and left me in tears. We are now in a position of not trusting this driver with our belongings and we have no idea where he even is at this point. As if moving were not stressful enough, this has put our experience on a whole different level. Depending on how this turns out, we're already prepared to contact an attorney if we have any more problems. IMS had better hope that we not only get our delivery in FULL,, but there had better not be one thing missing or damaged. We have left messages and emails with IMS and are waiting for a response. UPDATE: The driver was "spoken to". Yay. My husband and I have to stand firm about allowing him to rush us upon delivery. We want to check off every box to make sure everything is accounted for and nothing is damaged. I'm not looking forward to butting heads with our driver on this issue. To make this whole experience even worse, we received a call from the driver who is shipping our CAR. He now tells us he HAS to make deliver tomorrow afternoon, even though we won't arrive to the area until the evening. I thought our contract explained when we were moving?!! He is insisting that he has to leave the car in a public place and hide the key! I will never, ever, ever recommend Mayflower/IMS Relocation/NAVT for anyone's move. Similar to other reviews posted here, I must warn against using this company. Our move has unfortunately been a complete disaster. We still do not have all of our belongings after 2.5 weeks. The company comes across well in the initial sales presentation and owner Mike Lohner tells a good story. However, none of the promises or commitments have turned out to be accurate. I have copied a complaint now filed with the BBB below. Keep in mind, we had a signed contract spelling out the contractual commitments prior to the events detailed below. Buyer be Warned! Deceptive Trade Practices. Company has continuously failed to misrepresent the truth regarding pick up/delivery of our belongings for our move. On June 11th, 2015 IMS Relocation ("the company") indicated that a long-haul semi tractor trailer would arrive at our house the following morning, 6/12/15, to load all of our possessions located at our residence in Frisco, TX and ship them to our new home in Roswell, GA. The moving coordinator assigned to our account confirmed this would be taking place. On the following morning, June 12th, the semi did not arrive as indicated. Instead, the movers (IMS employees) that arrived at our house told us they would instead be picking up all of our items and loading them onto a smaller local box truck. That truck would then deliver our items to the IMS warehouse in Dallas instead of our new home in GA. Note: Prior to the morning of the 12th when the movers actually arrived, there was no notification from the corporate office, the moving coordinator, or IMS office staff that there was a change in plan. The movers loaded our belongings onto two separate box trucks and delivered them to the company's warehouse in Dallas. Once the items were offloaded, they sat in the company's warehouse for approx 1 week before a long haul semi was scheduled to pick up our belongings to then deliver to our new residence. This option was never discussed nor disclosed to us until it was too late. Despite several attempts to contact owner Mike Lohner, we could not get an explanation about what happened, why it happened, what was being done to correct it, and when the situation would be resolved. Instead, Mike told us he didn't know what was going on and that he wasn't aware of the situation. He made commitments to find out the answers to these questions and call us back. However, he never did. In addition, when we spoke to our moving coordinator that day, he also indicated he was unaware of the situation. Four or five days later (on or about June 17) our moving coordinator finally notified us (we never heard back from Mike Lohner) that a truck had been scheduled to pick up all of our items from the IMS warehouse in Dallas and deliver them all to our new residence in GA. After our items were supposedly picked up on Friday, June 19th, they were scheduled to be delivered to our new residence in Roswell, GA on Monday, June 22, 2015. The moving coordinator confirmed this would be taking place. On the morning of Monday, June 22nd the semi truck arrived at our new residence in Roswell, GA. When the truck driver arrived he regrettably notified us that he had only been able to load and bring approx 50%-60% of our items. The rest was left behind at the IMS warehouse in Dallas. Note: Prior to the morning of the 22nd when the truck driver actually arrived, there was no notification from the corporate office, the moving coordinator, or IMS office staff that all of our items wouldn't be delivered as promised. Despite several attempts to contact owner, Mike Lohner, we have not been able to get an explanation about what happened, what is being done to correct it, and when the situation will be resolved. Instead, Mike answered he wasn't aware of the situation, but once again made commitments to find out and call us back. However, he never has. As of today, June 29th we still have not heard back from Mike and have no resolution or any idea of what to expect next. To our knowledge nothing has been done and the balance of our items continues to sit in the IMS Warehouse in Dallas (although who knows, they may be gone forever). As a side note, the only piece of information we received about the current situation was from the truck driver (not an IMS employee) when he arrived. He indicated that when the "order" was placed by IMS Relocation for a truck to haul our items from TX to GA, the order was only placed for 7,000 lbs. We have 12,000 lbs. and the paperwork/contract we received from IMS clearly indicates that. As of today, the company still has over 5,000 lbs of our belongings and has not attempted to provide us with resolution or an estimation of when we should expect to receive our items. Furthermore, Mike Lohner will not call us back or respond to voice-mails and text messages. read more

We used IMS relocation for a move from Dallas, TX to Knoxville, TN. We packed most of our items ourselves and had them pack our breakable items. Overall we had a good experience with this company. Our packers arrived on time and were very courteous. They packed our glassware, crystal, TV and artwork with care. We were scheduled to have our belongings loaded onto the truck the next day, but we were notified that there was a truck in town that could take us a day early and we would have our stuff 3 days later. This was perfect and we decided to take this earlier truck instead of our previously scheduled truck because otherwise we would have been waiting an extra 1-5 days for our belongings. The loading movers arrived later that day and quickly loaded everything onto the truck. The lead mover was a little rude and seemed frustrated with with one of the other guys, but they were careful with our belongings so I was satisfied with that. Then 3 days later, right on time we arrived at our new home and the moving truck was there waiting for us! Unfortunately we only had 1 mover to unload our entire truck because the other guy that was supposed to help him never showed up. It took a little longer than it should have because he had to do everything himself which was no easy feat since we had several large items that he had to bring up to the 3rd floor. We ended up helping out a lot because it was just crazy to expect this one guy to do everything himself. As a result some boxes were a little crushed because of the mover stacking the boxes and strapping them to his back so he could bring several up at a time. I cannot recommend this agent for Mayflower, which is unfortunate. The pre-move and actual move experience was very good. The after-move experience is terrible. I filed a claim for 3 items damaged during the move. It has been 5 months and the claim is still not settled. The Claims Company, Estes Relocation hardly returns emails, and never returns phone calls. I was told in late January that my claim settlement would be complete by end of week, then again in late February that my claim settlement would be sent. It is now late March and no settlement has been received. I have talked with Stephanie at IMS, who has assured me she will help me, but again, no help from her. Mikes name seems to come up a lot a real slimy sleezball. Dishonest to the core. Late pick up, late delivery, shirking responsibility. Even reported them to the useless BBB which they failed to adequately respond to and BbB still closed the case. DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS! This is the worst company I have ever done business with. We literally moved 8 miles. They had all of our belongings on their truck for a total of 48 hours. I asked them to be extra careful with some paintings that were very sentimental to my wife and I. They were careful alright. In 48 hours our four painting disappeared, along with several other boxes of our belongings. When I brought the situation up with the Mayflower rep and our sales rep, they were absolutely no help. They even accused me of lying. Per the advice of our salesperson we took insurance with $1000.00 deductable because, "What could possibly happen?" WE WERE ONLY MOVING EIGHT MILES! They never investigated anything or even tried to find our belongings. They appeared not to even care that someone at their company helped themselves to our things. Here is the fun part, after you submit a claim for you missing items, you better not realize that anything else is missing, because then it is TOO LATE! You have already submitted your claim so you are out of luck! I could go on forever but they are not worth my waste of time. I just want to prevent others from making the same mistake. My wife and I recently completed a move from Fort Worth to Frisco, Texas. It was our first move in 19 years which presented special problems due to the massive amount of "stuff" we had accumulated. We received recommendations from multiple sources to go with IMS movers based on their very positive experiences. I contacted IMS and their representative was very informative in his evaluation of what we were moving and the type and size of boxes and packing materials needed. The necessary materials were dropped off at the designated time and we worked through the packing we were to accomplish. On the day of pickup, the moving team arrived on time and quickly assessed what was to be loaded and divided up responsibilities. The team worked efficiently and tirelessly to complete the loading of the truck. It was obvious that they had a well developed plan and they executed it extremely well. The truck departed and we left the home we had lived in for so long and quickly went to our new address to await the truck's arrival. As we pulled onto our street the truck and team were waiting in front of our new house. The unloading was even quicker than the loading and our possessions were moved into position very rapidly, yet carefully. We had a painted all of our new home and had new tile and carpet installed just prior to the move. The team ensured that no damage occurred by covering sensitive areas and moving furniture in such a way that nothing was touched until it was in position. A thourough inspection revealed no damage to our possessions or the new home. In addition to the attention paid to their jobs, team members were friendly and a joy to to interact with. They answered questions when asked and volunteered information that helped us to understand the moving process. My wife and I have now moved 22 times in our married life of over 48 plus years with at least 15 professional movers involved in our travels. This was, by far, the best move we have ever experienced. I thank them for the moving service promised by many, but delivered by few. They delivered in spades. read more

I don't recommend IMS at all. They did a very poor job handling my move. Many items were damaged as they packed everything in too tight without sufficient padding. Not only that, but it was a hassle and waste of time trying to make things right. Their claims people are extremely slow to respond. Even if you get in touch with them, they don't care or take responsibility. Their philosophy seems to be "we have your money already, so beat it." We literally had to call them 4 or 5 times leaving messages and emails to get them to respond to us. It took 4 or 5 days to get a single response every time. When this happens over and over for every single communication, something that should take a week or two to resolve, takes 2 or 3 months. Complete waste of our time. Their strategy must be to wear you down so you eventually give up your claim. Too bad, especially since they damaged our stuff and we paid for the coverage. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

Moved from DFW to Atlanta and IMS did everything perfect. From my sales person Mike to my corporate office staff of Ricki Palacios and my personal moving team of Pat and his team I am beyond impressed. Not one surprise, everything I was told would happen actually happened, no stress from me or my partner other than our 3 dogs wanting the furniture to stay and doing everything they could to prevent things from leaving our Dallas home. Wish you could see when we arrived in Atlanta after a 17 hour day to our new home and outside the same truck and drivers waiting on us as I had a huge smile and a big breathe of relief, Pat many many thanks, you are truly a professional driver in every way. This is my second move with Mayflower/ United the last as perfect as this one and I am very hard to impress but am so far beyond impressed that I am putting my name at the bottom. My wife and I were quite pleased with IMS. Scheduling the appointment with Julie Schroeder was easy, the movers arrived punctually, and worked quickly but carefully to make sure our across-town move had no unpleasant surprises. The crew was courteous, professional, and respectful. The boss of our crew was a gentleman named Warner. when we move again, we'll ask for Warner and his team to move us. it wound up being a bit more expensive than i expected. However, we'd just moved after selling our home 6 months earlier. The difference between the IMS and the company we used previously was night and day. IMS gets 5 stars in my book. read more

I used them twice. The first was a move from Coppell to Dallas. It was easy and they matched a competitors quote. I had one issue with a scratch in the wood floors. Mike Lohner was quick to get someone out the next day to fix the floors. You would never know it happened. The second move was a complete move out and move in when our floors flooded. The most convenient thing is they have their own storage and I ddin't have to rent a self storage space. They packed and picked up our entire house in one day (3000 sq ft). They returned a month later when our floors were finished without hassle. I will definitely use them again. read more

NOOO! Find someone else! No one is actually in charge of your move, meaning no one has answers when you ask "WHERE IS MY STUFF?". There are multiple middle men who don't communicate with one another, so a lot can happen without anyone knowing. Mayflower called the WRONG phone number at 3:30pm the day before my boxes and furniture were supposed to be delivered many states away from my pick-up location to say, "Ehh, not coming for another 4 days." Since that phone wasn't in use, I had to call them the morning of my delivery and ask "WHERE ARE YOU?!". My delivery date had even been confirmed 1 week prior, and I signed an agreement saying my boxes and furniture would be delivered on that day. When I called, the person on the other end responded with "really?" Umm yeah really... The entire process and lack of communication were not okay and incredibly unprofessional! Moreover, when I started unpacking my furniture, I had some DAMAGE to expensive furniture due to poor packing on their behalf. Again, not okay!! Don't use Mayflower. read more
