Food was good. Atmosphere was good portions were small. Not like most Chinese places. But definitely good.

Fantastic family owned restaurant, tired them out one time and have already been back at least 4 times now...all in less than a month. Yeah i'm a fat kid. there chow mien is really good but there general tso's is incredible best i've ever had! there broccoli beef is really good and everything is made to order so its nice a fresh and hot! down side is its hard place to find as the open light never seems to be on. read more

Best lunch spot in the area. Great lunch deal and the egg flower soup (like an egg drop soup) is amazing on a cold rainy day. It's a simple mom and pop shop with the nicest people working there. They'll let you substitute different dishes for their lunch special. For me, it's been the closest chinese restaurant like the ones in New York. There's a different taste about it and I'm a big fan. My new favorite Chinese restaurant! I first went to this place about a month ago, even though I have lived within a mile of it for the past 3 years. I ordered the chicken chow main with light vegetables and the chef showed me each vegetable and asked me how much I wanted of each in the chow main, it turned out perfect! I also ordered General Tung's chicken, and it is the best Chinese chicken dish I have ever had! I am a huge fan of General Tso's chicken and although it isn't exactly the same, it is very close. The quality of the chicken is the best I have ever seen, pure white meat with the perfect amount of batter. Since my first visit I have been back 5 times! If you haven't tried this place, do yourself the favor and do. =) read more

My wife and I frequent Imperial Wok for lunch mostly. Hit or miss on the dinner time as far as wether they are open or not. Have always had good service for a MOM and POP restaurant. They remember us and what we usually eat. read more

MY FAVORITE CHINESE RESTAURANT! They've been around this I can remember and it's always our go to spot. Family owned by a small, very sweet family. They make great food. Sometimes it may take awhile, but that's because there's usually only two of them, but I promise it's worth the wait!! I'd say if you live close, take out, because they use huge conventional fans and it sucks up a lot of the heat in the place so it's cold when eating in-- that's my only complaint. Location is hard to find. Google maps shows it on the other side of the complex. People were very nice, but the Orange Chicken was so-so.

Food and prices are 5 star. This is a small restaurant run by an Asian couple. 90% of their business is take-out. The restaurant is typically empty, so seating is not a problem. The owners are super busy, and the phone is constantly ringing, so you may have to wait a bit to be served. The food is great, so give it a try. read more

We ordered for the first time takeout at 6:15 on a Sunday night and we were told we had a 45 min wait. Almond Chicken was almost non existent in the meal, the chow mein was dry and the crab Rangoon was over cooked and tough. When we arrived they appeared to be closed, lights amost out and they were ready to leave. WTH!!! we will not be back. If I could give this a 4.5 star, I would. As much as I love chinese, I have never had a perfect 5 star chinese meal in the Seattle area before. That said, Imperial Wok is as close to 5 star as I've gotten. I enjoy their handmade potstickers with dipping sauce, full of meat. Like others have commented, the crispy Mandarin Chicken is great, similiar to sweet and sour chicken with a kick. Nice chunks of white meat with a thin crispy deep fried batter. The BBQ Pork Chow Mein is my favorite, I could chow down on that all the time. Chunky strips of tasty bbq pork, tons of noodles and just a small amount of cabbage and bean sprouts that give a nice crunch, but not too much were it seems to be used as filler. The one dish I wish was better is the fried rice. The fried rice is fresh, cooked to order, but it is boring with your standard handful of frozen carrots and peas. The restaurant is nothing special, but clean. They are very popular with take-out orders. read more

Maybe my expectations were too high. Went for dinner, was totally not impressed. The "chinese" food at Safeway would have been better. The won ton soup had no taste, the crab ragoons tasted of nothing but onions and we then had the family dinner A. The almond chicken had yellow/orange "gravy" and the chicken so tough we couldnt chew it. (Did I mention the BBQ pork was too tough to eat also?) The sweet & sour pork was okay, but nothing special. I would say probably bottled sauce and frozen pork. The chow mein was also overcooked and the noodle were either hard or beyond chewy. Won't be returning. Will make the trip down to Seattle to Moon Temple. read more

Very inefficiently run kitchen. Food might at a stretch be 3.5 stars considering the area (beggers can't be chosers), but factor in the lack of customer care/attention and the extremely long wait for the food and they come out at a 2. I'm really not being overly critical, I factor in that I'm not in San Francisco anymore. For American Chinese food, which should be very fast to make (take Sichuanese Cuisine in the ID who gets authentic food out on the table in 15 min with a packed house - also small family run) I've never seen a cook move at such a slow pace when he's got a full house with who knows how many take out orders. Then there's the fact that they don't acknowledge parties that come in even though they see them walk through the door, and when they finally do pay them attention they tell them it's a "long wait" . And say you do sit down, don't expect any courtesy from them for waiting over 45 min for your food, cause they will still charge you $1 for that extra bowl of rice (I figured since we got seated without that "wait" warning they'd at least realize we were so dang hungry from waiting for their food - it's not the price, it's the lack of business practice consciousness here that erked me). Maybe it's much better on a slower night, but a true test of a business is when it's busy, and if you can't maintain that quality/service, are you really that good? read more

Where to start... Wanted to order takeout. They finally picked up on the 6th call. My wife drives down 15 minutes later and they were unaware of the order. While my wife was waiting in the nearly empty restaurant she asked me to call again to see if the phone rings. Needless to say she said it was beyond obvious to her and the 5 other people there that the phone just rang and rang for all to hear but not one attempt from the workers to answer it. The food: my dish was just meh. The Kung pao chicken was bite size at best and there was more celery than chicken. The only saving grace was my wife's mandarin chicken that had a nice sticky sauce. cute, little, intimate American Chinese restaurant hidden in a strip mall. We went for lunch and had the place mostly to ourselves. Very good value and not overly greasy. I always judge Chinese food by how it makes me feel 8 hours later and I'm happy to report their were no problems. The beef with broccoli and Kung Pow chicken were both really good. I also liked the Crispy Mandarin chicken, although I'd have preferred if the sauce was slightly less sweet. This place is probably best used for takeout and if I lived in the area, I'd definitely go back. read more

One of the best places to eat in the area, and - the - best for Chinese food. Owned & operated by a husband & wife, Gee & Sim, and they are great people. The food is absolutely incredible. I come here for lunch all the time and also with the wife & kids for dinner. Everything is great but my favorite is also the mandarin chicken, kinda of a crispy breaded sweet & sour. I really like the potstickers too, kinda meaty & very tasty, especially compared to other places. Definitely try this place, I'll be surprised if you dont love it too! read more
